Aegni reentered his terra, turning to welcome the two fire cats to the mountain. They were in the thick forest on the volcano's lush flank. A hot simmering spring bubbled a mere three paces from where they stood, bathing the area in a rich, warm, mist.

"Welcome, Kasanita and Carali, to Phoenix Mountain. My home is yours. I would caution you, though, to sample the upper springs with caution. They are strong in sulfur." He walked to the aforementioned spring and drank his fill.

Ok then.. with a flick of her tail Kansanita had a look around. Her paws falred, leaving a trail of fire behind her. This was her home now. Her eyes glittered in the sun as she spied a rabbit that hoped away from her. She pounced and sunk her teeth in it. Not bad..

Aegni caught himself a rabbit so as to dine with Kasanita. Carali, though the cub must have followed, was nowhere to be seen. As the king and Kasanita both finished the succulent, though small, meal, he asked her, "Kasanita, I have something that's been in my thoughts for a while. Are you willing to become my queen?" He fumbled for a moment, gathering his thoughts. "I feel like there's some special...something... that seems as if it's pulling me towards you, like an ancient memory. Do you feel it too?" The flames caressing his spotted fur glowed gold in anticipation.

Kasanita looked at Ageni with a drop of disbelief, but the 'connection words pierced her heart. Here was a handsome male asking her, after being rejected for most of her life; my males mostly. At first her jaw drop and her eyes shimmered when he store deep within his eyes. Really? You really want me to be queen? A cubish smile spread across her face. Yes I do, I do feel it. She could, a happy warm feelng that banished away the cold hearted. Her flames glowed brightly, her tail lit fully up as she gazed deep within her new mate.

Aegni felt as well as saw the spark that lit up Kasanita's brilliant eyes. At first, he thought she was angry at him, but when she said that word, that wonderful word, yes, it made all of his worries melt away into nothing. His fur burned more brightly in an amazing variety of shimmering colors as his pleasure shined through. "Thank you, Kasanita, my queen." He purred to his new mate.

A warm feeling went deep inside Kasanita's heart. Something warmer than magma but soft as a mother's touch. A feeling of accpection, love and something else that was beautiful and poetic. She was artisic in that way maybe.. just maybe she had found the one for her.. a soul mate that she heard of people gossip. But this was for real. Your welcome she purred, resting her head on his back, so warm and gentle but strong.. Ageni, her mate.
