Sleipnir hesitated for a moment before encroaching on this terra. He knew only that its leader had claimed quite some time before and seemed to be favored by the Goddess. What are you waiting for? A voice within him seemed to ask. Do you want a position or not? The voice was that of Calista, his spirit mentor.

Taking a deep breath, Sleipnir crossed into Dolphin Beach. This was once my homeland. The voice murmured with reverence. Sleipnir ignored its lilting tone as he looked for the Lord of this mystical place.

SandStorm, who had roamed with her brother here for many years spied another stallion... a much smaller stallion. She quickened her pace and ran out of the waters and towards the stallion. Onzilli, the lord is busy at the moment You don't even know where he is let alone what he is doing sparked a voice in her head. She, in her mind forget about that and wondered the stallions reply to her statment.

Sleipnir thought he could hear Calista going berserk in his mind. She was swearing up a blue streak. Sleipnir bit his tongue to keep from voicing them. "Very well." He said. "Well, if you find him, could you tell him that Sleipnir requests a warrior position in his herd?" The diminuitive horse gazed at Sandstorm, hoping that she would relay his message to Onzili.

She gaze around for a moment, but could not see him. Snadstorm cantered and started yelling Onzilli! ONZILLI! Someone is here to talk to you. she was frustrated that he wouldn't tell her where he was going.

Onzilli, at the moment, was staring dreamily at the endless waters laid out before him. The water lapped against his hooves, making them glitter beautifully. Then, he heard Sandstorm. His ears flicked around, searching for his direction. After a moment, he was sent cantering to the area. Unbeleivably quickly, he was there.

"Hello, Sleipner," Onzilli greeted formally, dipping his head with authority. "I heard that you would like to be a warrior."

Sleipnir turned and returned the gesture. "That is the truth, Lord Onzilli. Being that I am not of age or desire to claim, I humbly request a position here." He then turned to Sandstorm. "Ma'am, I thank you for your assistance in finding him."

Silverstreak - November 24, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
"I accept your request." Onzilli said, head held high. His horn shone from the sunlight, a ripple of it moving from the base to the tip. He whipped his tail in a gesture meant to thank Sandstorm for calling him to the scene; as he had new responsibilities, Onzilli could no longer spend all his endless days staring in awe at the ocean.

"Come," the lord signaled with his head towards the place where he'd made his herd's quarters. "I'll get you familiar with my herd."

Sleipnir followed the Lord. He didn't bother trying to match the larger horse's lengthy strides. He trotted to keep pace with Onzilli. Meanwhile, Calista was talking to him again:

The waters blue, the sand of glass
The sky clearer than ice
Stones sharpened by pounding hooves
That run red with horses' blood.

Sleipnir hoped that she was refering to an event in the past and not one that would occur in the near future. He remained silent as he and Onzilli entered the herd's encampment.
