Elegance was nervous. Not a little nervous, VERY nervous. Naturally, she was not social after being an only cub. And here she was, in the Claiming Grounds, millions of other animals surrounding her!
As a leaf fluttered onto her nose, Elegance let out a little squeal. She shook her head, muttering "Only a leaf," to herself, and prowled the ground for an open space where she could wait. Her belly fur scraped gently across the ground, shimmering beautifully as she stalked. Elegance's tail was low to the grass, a shining ripple moving through the lethal spike that it was tipped with.
The Shard finally found a tree with low-hanging branches, and with no other creature near it. She leapt gracefully onto the branch and perched herself; this might take a while.
