On the top of the steep slopes the criss-crossed to the top was Mingan, making his way up the cold icy peaks of the Snow Caps. He climbed, he was young and storng and knew he could make it. He occaisanly slipped and slid down a bit, but other than that, he was fine. His wings helped him make his way further to his desination; the top of the highest mountain. His nails gripped on the snow and ice, but that's what they were made for. Mingan grunted and he pushed his limits in the thin air that swept across his nose that sucked in air fast.
It was a few paw-stpes to go as Mingan flapped with his lage soft wings. Up the the top he peared at the cloudy sky with his deep blue eyes. He thought of his mother, a beautiful wolf; her pelt warming him as he climbed. He smiled and looked below. Mingan stomped his feet on the ground, the snow fells and crumbled. He lifted his head high, letting a long howl come from him; along with the slight mist that came from his mouth. From this day forward, I shall rule this terra as alpha! he barked, snarling at nothing. He ducked his head, tipped it up again and slowly made his way towards the carven he saw on the way. This was his now, and he would risk his life in protecting it.

With a slight breath of wind, a misty form appeared beside Mingan. It slowly solidified into a muscular wolf the same elusive blue-gray of a thunderhead. The wolf's probing blue eyes studied the claimer intently before any words were spoken.
"And with what virtues do you claim this peak, young one?Would you defend this land as if it were your very offspring? Would you defend your offspring and packmates as if their lives were as your own? Speak well, for you are addressing Azul, God of the Wolves."
The blue wolf stood with subtle glory, his fur ruffled by an invisible breeze. The probing blue eyes appeared to be fixed on Mingan as Azul awaited his response.

As he appeared, and the icy air blew and ruffled his chest he replyed, but onlt turning slightly towards the god Why would I not?, oh great one. I would bleed my own blood to protect this terra. His legs stood straight as they could be and looked at the cloudy sky, drifting into a imaginative world..

Azul pondered Mingan's response. The reply sounded rather cocky to him, but he was unintimidated. Very well, Mingan. I trust that you will rule this terra with fairness toward all of its in habitants and with malice toward none. Be warned: I return to the earth terras only in times of cubs. It is not wise to provoke any more appearances than that." Azul bowed his head at Mingan."I now pronounce you, Sir Mingan, as Alpha of Glittering Snowcaps Terra. May you rule it well."
Azul's form began to disappear until it vanished into the mists of the ice terra, leaving no evidence, save a new alpha, that the God of Wolves had ever entered this land.

Before he could say a quick thank you, he was gone. At first he looked all around; the snow softly falling on his face; leaving just wet, white fur. He placed his paws on a rock and lifted his head to howl once more; his howl was long and deep and echoed into a chorus of other wolves. Pups eh? I'll need to claim a mate... if there is one for me... he sighed, he had the most beautiful land in the whole of his kin's terra; and still he felt uncorfatable; I'll take my chances..now for some fun.. Mingan jumped and slid on a smooth flat piece of ice that zig-zagged down; he would have to jump over one or two; but other than that it was skiing for wolves.
