Title: Trek For Wonder
Description: ~A Simple Trot~

Onzilli paused. His hooves sunk in the sand, the white one appearing even paler than usual from its covering. The unicorn then continued.
He enjoyed Dolphin Beach, and always had. Ever since he'd been a young colt, he had loved to simply trot out near the water and let the water lap at his legs. He walked slowly, head hanging, closer to where the waves soaked up the sand.
"Ah," he sighed, looking out across the water. "This sight makes me want to walk into the water and let it swallow me forever."

"Come on, just tell me what it is already."
"Nope."
"Aww. Please?"
"Nope!"
"PLEASE?!?!"
"NO ALREADY!"
Eliza stuck out her bottom lip in a foalish pout, skipping forewards some on her long delicate legs in anger. The Core said he had a surprise. Thing was, the stupid cosmic being wouldn't tell her what it was. And she REALLY wanted to know. It was just like when she was a young foal (gosh, that seemed really long ago now) and her mother had said she had had a surprise. But she didn't tell her. It turned out to be a WHOLE grove of apples, but that wasn't the point. She had bugged and bugged and bugged her mother to tell her what it was the whole way down.
The mare trotted up the sand dune, the grass tickling her legs. She sprang forewards on her long pillars and landed gently on the earth. The smell of salty sea water and fresh morning air was in her nostrils. Dolphin Beach. Oh how she loved it. The air was crisp and clean. The waves lapped the shores of the beach gently and softly, hardly making any noise. Eliza half reared, and pranced forewards again, the green lines streaked across her body gleaming in the sunlight.
"This way..." The Core said, within her mind, and she immeadiately felt her hooves jerk to the left though she had not told them to do so. She didn't mind however. She was quite used to the this whole Host thing now.
And then she smelled something. Something male upon the breeze. She lifted her head to scent the air and then she saw him. Ahead of her, there he was. Tall, golden, handsome. The most beautiful stallion she had ever seen. And she was heading right towards him.
"NO NO NO! Don't take me over there!" She said, skidding to a halt as the mind loop snapped shut. The Core sighed.
"And why don't you want to go over there?" He asked.
"Because..." She couldn't think of a reason.
"Well then, go and talk to him. I know you like him, so stop being so shy. Go over and TALK to him!"
She felt a small slap on the hindquarters and it startled her. She sprang forewards right towards the beautiful golden unicorn, but stopped her hooves yet again.
"Keep going..." Said the Core.
And this time she did. She walked straight towards him her head held high. "Er...uh, hi?"

Onzilli turned around at normal speed and saw the goddess. He had only just been appointed god, but was getting used to it. He'd also heard of and admired Eliza for a long time now, ever since he was born, and never thought she'd actually walk up to him and say "Er, hi!" like that.
"Hi." He said, only a spark of shyness in his voice. But he couldn't swallow it for long. It took all of Onzilli's willpower not to turn away in embarrassment. He looked away for a moment, then looked directly at her.
Wild Heart - November 10, 2007 04:21 AM (GMT)
Okay...so now what?
She smiled a bit, and rocked back and foreward on her hooves for a while.
"Talk-to-him," The Core said, and with each and every word his voice seemed to grow stronger and louder.
"So uh...Nice day huh?" Eliza said, watching him. So really couldn't take her eyes off of him. She had butterflies in her stomach and her heart was positively fluttering.
"Not small talk! Good talk! Have a conversation!" The Core said, exhasperated.
"Look, I'm not going to talk to him at all if you keep pestering me!" Eliza said.
"UGH! Whatever, but, just so you know, I can read his mind! So call me when ya need me!" The prescense in her brain seemed to lighten some. It was a odd feeling these days. It was a feeling from long ago, when she wasn't posessed by a cosmic being that could create worlds.
Silverstreak - November 10, 2007 04:28 AM (GMT)
Onzilli could tell very easily that Eliza was shy. He was actually just as shy, and just wasn't showing it. He thanked StarHerd that he was good at covering things up, but knew that this couldn't last much longer- The Core could read his mind, and if he told Eliza, he'd be in trouble.
"Yep." He said the one word with fireflies fluttering in his insides. They weren't butterflies, they were fireflies. They HURT because he'd never felt this shy!
Wild Heart - November 10, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
Silence. Stupid stupid stupid silence. Eliza turned her head and stared out at the ocean. She turned back to him, and then said, softly, "So, uh, what is your name? I'm Eliza, but I am sure you already know that." Word of her had spread long ago. Horses, cats, and wolves, they all knew who she was...goodness, they knew what she was. But, she still wanted to introduce herself. It made her feel alittle better, but the butterflies where still fluttering away inside of her. Nervousness. Ugh.
Silverstreak - November 10, 2007 11:17 PM (GMT)
"I'm Onzilli." The unicorn paused, wondering whether Eliza knew his position or not. Perhaps he should tell her?
He thought it over for a moment. Soon after, he decided not to say it right now; maybe when she wasn't so nervous.
Wild Heart - November 10, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
Onzilli. Different. Original. She rolled the word on her tongue by saying, "Well then, nice to meet you Onzilli."
Eliza shuffled on the sand nervously, shifting her weight from one hoof to the other. This was...awkward. They had near to nothing to talk about. She stayed silent for a few moments more, and then, she said, as though forcing the words forewards, "Do you want to race?" The words where rushed, and she immeadiately blushed after saying them. But then she tossed her head and said, "I mean, Dolphin Beach is just the place to race, you know? The sand and everything, it is perfect."
Thinking of something else, she quickly said, "And without powers or anything. Just our hooves and the sand."
Silverstreak - November 11, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
Onzilli instantly lost his nervousness. He loved to race, it didn't matter who he was doing it with. He didn't even see Eliza blush he was so excited.
"Sure!" was the perky reply. Onzilli trotted slowly ahead, symbolizing he was ready as rain.
Wild Heart - November 11, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
Eliza half reared delightfully, flailing her hooes some. She landed on the ground and sprang ahead to stand beside the golden unicorn. She lifted a forehoof and pawed the ground. Sand sprayed from her hooves. No powers. Just her, him, her hooves, the sand and the ocean. She tossed her head, aligning her feet with his so that it would be a fair start.
"Ready...set...GO!"
Silverstreak - November 11, 2007 02:13 PM (GMT)
Onzilli started racing. He started out at a trot, and as quickly as he could, he got to a steady gallop. He always saved real speed for when he was in trouble.
The sand spurted as his hooves flashed quickly, the waves lapping gently as usual, the air rustling in his face. But he didn't mind the breeze; it just soothed him more.
OOC: I could make a song like that. Wind's rustling in my face, don't know reasons to hesita-ate.
Wild Heart - November 13, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
Eliza didn't start out at a trot. Heck no. She kicked her heels into the air, blasting forewards and sending sand spraying everywhere. Her blue eyes where filled with pure excitment as she loped foreward gentally, rocking back and forth like a rocking horse. And then she stretched out, extending her feet forewards and began a steady gallop. Her mane and tail lifted off her neck and her marking pulsed brighter than ever. She was going fast, yes, but she wasn't pushing herself. She knew better than that.
Eliza was happy. She was racing the most beautiful stallion she had ever seen in her life.
Silverstreak - November 13, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
Onzilli's mane was thrown back as he galloped, not tiring a bit. His tail trailed back like a banner of joy. His soft brown eyes were determined, a look he saved for racing.
A rock happened to be in Onzilli's way. He quickly dodged it; lucky he did, too, for if he hadn't the penalty could've cost the dun a major throwback.

{(<Wait until SandStorm finds out XD>)}
Wild Heart - November 14, 2007 08:57 PM (GMT)
Eliza tossed her head and whinnied loudly, swerving to the left and allowing her hooves to be soaked by the water. Mud and sand sprayed from her legs and up them, but she didn't care. The cool water felt good on her hooves. Her wet mane and tail flew in the wind as she galloped onwards, not even thinking about looking back at the stallion. Running. That was what a horse was meant to do...run.
Silverstreak - November 24, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
Onzilli was held back only for a moment, then pressed on. He still wasn't tired. The stallion was soon nose to nose with Eliza, switching between ahead and behind at a steady pace.
Onzilli used a basic strategy for racing; it was mainly just in the beginning doing the race for the sheer joy of it, later getting faster, and saving the most exhilarating speed for last. It was neutral; usually his opponent got the game and matched his pace, and so the chances of winning were evened. Onzilli was using the common strategy right now.
