Title: Application to join Brill

Dermath - November 26, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
1. What is your character's name, surname and former occupation?

Calls himself Dermath, as he had forgotten his former name after his time as a Death Knight. His original name was Derion Mathoral, which is probably the reason the name "Dermath" felt familiar to him.

2. Why exactly did you choose to join Brill and what are your plans related to it?

I, the player, chose Brill because I felt that it was an interesting concept for a guild, and that joining it would be a fun experience. Dermath wants to join the town of Brill because he feels more at home there than anywhere else.

3. Do you know the basic lore and do you think it's enough to roleplay decently?

I feel confident that I will not make an ass of myself, yes. :P

4. How active do you think you can be?

As long as school doesn't overload me with work, I should be able to get online at least once a day, a couple of hours a day.

5. Whilst roleplaying, do you use full words or preffer shortening them, such as instead of "you", using "u"?

I always speak in full sentences, both when roleplaying and OOC, unless I have to say something really fast. I'm a fast typer, so I've never really felt the need to shorten my sentences :P

6. Are you willing to suggest ideas and help out the other members?

Absolutely, that's what guildies are for.

7. What's your opinion about speaking OOC(out of character) in /say or /yell?

That depends, really. I prefer people to keep it in party chat or whispers, but sometimes just bracketing it is okay too. It all depends on the situation.

8. Does your character have a background story and if not, are you willing to make one?

My character has a background story, sort of. It's not very detailed, but as Dermath doesn't remember much of the time before he was under the Lich King's control, it doesn't really have to be. But if it's a problem I suppose I could write one up. :)

Oh, and as you've probably figured out already, Dermath is a Death Knight. I know some RPers have (IC) problems with them (which isn't entirely surprising :P), but would that be a problem for you guys? He's not one of these over-the-top "Bwahahaha, I'm EEEEEVIIIIL"-Death Knights that seem to be running around everywhere, just for the record :P

Not sure if Brill accepts DK's. But I don't think we make a difference ^^. Be sure to poke Ilron about this in the game!

Even though Morb's ICly in Northrend, I hope to see you soon amongst our ranks.

We deffinately accept DKs to our guild, although they'll have a bit of a hard time gaining our trust!

Your application seems really great, though do mind, that we would like to see you avoiding brackets in /say as much as possible. I, personally, only tolerate messages that are vitaly needed, to inform a large group of people. Meet Ilron for the final part of your application, just don't forget to introduce yourself.

I absolutely understand your dislike for bracketed OOC, but it's pretty useful if you have to quickly convey information to a large group of people :P But enough about that, I'll avoid it as much as possible :)
