Title: My Application
Description: An Application for the Guild 'Brill'

Azráel - April 7, 2009 08:50 PM (GMT)
1. What is your character's name, surname and former occupation?

Name: Azráel Crowsong (formerly Auríel Willowbrook)
Former Occupation: Paladin serving under one Commander Hailín Bloodsinger.

2. Why exactly did you choose to join Brill and what are your plans related to it?

Having been refered to the guild by the same person who refered me to WoW itself (Hailín - ingame), I decided to build a character who had a previous relation to his character, so it would make more sense for us while Role Playing.

3. Do you know the basic lore and do you think it's enough to roleplay decently?

I feel I do, and I think that RP'ing is really more suited to people who are passionate about building stories, relations and friendships ingame - which is the primary reason I chose to apply.

4. How active do you think you can be?

How long's a piece of string? I like to think I play WoW whenever I can; during I like to meet other RPers and actively help to build on my character's ingame personality - furthering the experience for myself and also those who play alongside me.

5. Whilst roleplaying, do you use full words or preffer shortening them, such as instead of "you", using "u"?

I always as a pious rule use the appropriate lexis for my character. It's just easier to take on the role of 'Azráel' that way, instead of just being me - texting as if it's a game. I see RP as Story Building, so ruining it by doing that just makes it no fun.

6. Are you willing to suggest ideas and help out the other members?

I do my best to offer constructive criticisms to members of my Literature class, since (and I hate to toot my own horn here) I see myself as an at least half decent writer. If anyone needs any help, I'd be more than happy to help them - I hope I'll get the same from the other members too.

7. What's your opinion about speaking OOC(out of character) in /say or /yell?

In 'party', fair enough, in 'general', same again. But when in an RP server, isn't RP
the objective? I know people have different views, but on an RP server, 'say' and 'yell' should reflect the character's voice - not your own.

8. Does your character have a background story and if not, are you willing to make one?

He does, myself and (ingame) Hailín have spoken numerous times about it, I spend my free time devising a believeable and engaging storyline behind Azráel, since I've seen the RPers who say they're 'the reincarnation of a demi-god' and just ignored them...
If there are any holes in my character's back-story I'm sure I can patch them up with a logical explianation, and I look forward to hopefully becoming a part of a much wider society of passionate RPers.

Thank you for taking time to read this Application.
