Title: Write content for us!
Description: You like to write? READ THIS!

musical zombie. - August 10, 2007 01:50 AM (GMT)
Hello, there. I'm going to cut the introductions and everything, because I've got something to ask.

Do you like to write?

If so, write for us! What do I mean by that? I mean anything! Got a user review that you'd like to see on the main site? Got a cool walkthrough for a game that you think would benefit users? Got some hints, tips, or cheats? Anything, really. I need some writers!

This being said, any of you (YES, YOU) can write for us! I'm now taking user reviews, walkthroughs, and anything else you've got. So write something up, and put it in! We'll evaluate it, and put it up. You can be sure that you'll get credit.

But, why would we need this, if you're getting content writers?

Well, content writers can only do so much, right? We need as many reviews as possible. So write one up, and send it in!

You can e-mail it to me, musical zombie, for the time being at:

mind-less_zombie@hotmail.com

I don't think I'd be really good at this so fill all the positions if you can but if you still need some then you can come to me.

_F0r_7l-l3_W!n_ - August 10, 2007 03:38 PM (GMT)
I could volunteer...but I don't think I will. At first I was thinking "Why not write for them and roleplay as a zombie in the writing?" but since noone wants a 'zombie-theme' to go with the 'zombie-name', I'd rather not write a boring review that noone will read.

So unless you guys can put a name, and stick with it, I won't volunteer to write - because it just won't be as fun.

musical zombie. - August 10, 2007 07:45 PM (GMT)
o_o What?

Content writing meaning user reviews and walkthroughs. I'm not entirely sure that you know what the purpose of this site is, _FTW_.

We're a video game site, not a zombie site.. -_-

Yes, but who wants to read those when they have no spazzazz to them? There are already a billion walkthroughs and reviews on everything.

Reviews are reviews, I have subscriptions to plenty of Video game magazines. Why listen to someone on the internet? Because the internet has originality.

There used to be a gaming magazine long ago, same people who did EGM. The magazine was called "Gmr". And at the end of every issue, there was a review or rant on something video game related. But the cool thing about it was that is was roleplaying a old man ranting to a group of kids. That's creativity and that's what makes people want to read something.

Mmkay, w/e. I'm sure we'll figure something cool out soon. ;D

Wouldn't it be funny to read a review a zombie made? Seriously, think about it. "Raawwwrrr is my name and I am here to tell you the latest brains in the video game business." C'mon, that's class A stuff.

musical zombie. - August 10, 2007 08:22 PM (GMT)
Okay, okay, but that'll only be the content writers. ;] We'll have "Official Reviews" and "User-Submitted Reviews".

Content writers will write as though they were zombies, and users can just review in w/e style they want.

100 posts plz.

Congratulations. Anyways, zombies can review just as easily as regular humans. You know, I should have my own little section called "FTW Mr. Zombie"

Fun Time With Mr. Zombie. It's perfect. :D

musical zombie. - August 10, 2007 08:38 PM (GMT)
That just gave me an amazing idea.

Mr. Zombie's Corner =o

Where, every week/month, Mr. Zombie (aka one of us) will sit down and rant about a game or something like that in a zombie type style.

Brilliant.

Well, what if multiple people want to write on the same week? Or someone has a random urge to write several reviews.

Lol, my brother just walked in screaming "GET OFF MY COMPUTER" funny.

musical zombie. - August 10, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
Well, for Mr. Zombie's thingie (whatever the name is going to be) I'll probably decide who does it each week, and each week it will be a different person from staff. ;D

Forseti - August 10, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
I think it should just be FTW I mean he came up with the main idea so I think it should be him. Though you are the boss so it's your decision.

Cupac82 - August 10, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I think FTW would be able to do it pretty well.

Although it'd be funny, I'm not sure Zombies can rant. But hey, I'm not going to try to make realism out of something about zombies.

_F0r_7l-l3_W!n_ - August 10, 2007 09:42 PM (GMT)
Well, if everyone wants me to do it, I have NO problem doing it. Infact, it'd be a priviledge.

musical zombie. - August 10, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
Then it's settled. FTW, you are now the conducter of Mr. Zombie's Rant of the Week. ;D

Flippin' sweet. I'll get on it as soon as possible.

Jehanne - August 13, 2007 11:33 PM (GMT)
You guys are so funny.

So, if you have a list somewhere that shows what games you've already written reviews for, I can think about whether I'll write a review or two. Basically my limitation is that I haven't played that many games.

But I have bought a lot of games in the last couple of months; and I could write reviews if I find time.

So. Bottom line. Have one list somewhere that shows what games have already been "reviewed" on, and I'll fill in gaps as I finish my games.

What do you think?

musical zombie. - August 13, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)
Word to that, Jehanne. You should review FFXII.

Jehanne - August 14, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
But Mr. Zombie (_FTW_) has played that one in full.

<_<

If I finish FFXII before someone else has written a review, I'll write a review. I should be able to do some comparison with other FF games, too, but not all (seeing as how there are like 30, or something).

Lysis - August 14, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
"Mr. Zombie's Weekly Brain"

Or "Weekly Piece Of Mind"

Forseti - August 14, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
Lysis I'm pretty sure it was going to be called "Fun time with Mr.Zombie"

musical zombie. - August 14, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
I don't really like "Fun Time with Mr. Zombie."

It sounds...gay. Seriously.

I'm all for "Mr. Zombie's Weekly Piece of Brain".

Forseti - August 14, 2007 07:55 PM (GMT)
Sure though in the end it is his decision.

RAAAWWWRR who is this _FTW_ you speak of? First off, a review should always be on both sides. Saying the good and the bad. And I think a person who has played ALL the FF's and have beat them to review. I've been a FF ever since I was not even able to read. Which was when I was like 3. And my first FF ever was FF7. I remeber now that I could only beat the last boss and that's all I ever did because I didn't know you had to wait for the save icon to come up after 5 secs at a save point to save. XD

No offense, but would you be able to point out ALL the good and the bad and be able to give a fair grade for those who hate and like it?

I personally believe it should recieve no more than a 7/10, but what do I know? I am just an FF fan since 3. XD

EDIT: Oh and for the Mr. Zombie thing, I was thinking of "Mr. Zombies. Scientifically Enhanced Reviews and Reports, Live from the Grave." Long, but sweet. :D

musical zombie. - August 14, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Maybe. We'll get it figured out. ;D

Moop - August 15, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
I suggest a thread where people can either post their idea for a review, and/or whore off their finished review.

Also, Im in the process of writing a user review for GH:RT80 for VGRC, so would you be alright with me posting it here as well?

Shmeh - August 15, 2007 02:11 AM (GMT)
I'm at a bit of a dilemma. I enjoy writing, but I don't get new games very often, so there's not many recent titles I can review. I will try my best to contribute what little review(s) I can, or contribute to the site in any other way. I'll keep an eye out.

kthx

musical zombie. - August 15, 2007 08:18 PM (GMT)
@moop: Awesome. Email it to me. ;D

@Shmeh: Don't worry about it, man. If you ever do get a new game, review it for us, though, mmkay? ;D

EDIT: I want to make it clear that I'm only seeing if anyone wants to write for us. You don't have to, it's not an obligation.
