Wow. So many to choose from. I say 2007 was and STILL is a great year for movies.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Transformers
Harry Potter
The Simpsons
Just to name a few.
Now, what did you see as the best movie so far this year to hit the screens?!
Maybe your nostalgia self wants to scream out Transformers or TMNT.
Or your darker self wants Hostel 2 to be named as number 1.
Myself, <3 Transformers, however I must say Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles did for me. That fight off with Rafael and Leo was amazing! Much longer and cooler than Prime and Megatron, pfft ;]
Only downside... Sarah Michelle Gellar destroyed April O'Neil for me. D:

TMNT and Harry Potter one of the best movies of the year? Please. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and am near obsessed with it, but HP 5 was a huge let-down. Simpsons was very funny and a huge surprise to me but I wouldn't put it in the class of "Best of '07". Transformers was one of the best I've ever seen and is the only one here that deseres nomination.
I loved Shrek the Third but don't know if it would be movie-of-the-year material, but I'd say it's up there to me. Hot Fuzz got fantastic reviews but when I saw it I thought it was nowhere near as good as Shaun of the Dead but I'd put it up as one of the best. Reign Over Me probably had the best acting I've seen in a long time and Adam Sandler should at least be nominated for Best Actor.
In the end, MY best movies of '07:
Transformers
Reign Over Me
Spider-Man 3
Hot Fuzz
Simpsons
Harry Potter
Wild Hogs may be able to be in there. It wasn't great but it was funny and entertaining. I haven't seen 300 but heard it was great.

I havn't been going to the movies anywhere near as much as I used to, but I did get myself there to see Transformers.
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. I was expecting a major disappointment, but the way the film kind of laughs at itself was brilliant. Some parts could have been better, but the whole thing could have been a load of naff sticks.
I recommend it.

I really liked Hot Fuzz and I say it was one of the best. I'm going to watch balls of fury this Friday night so I'll see how good that is. Harry potter was ok though it wasn't as good as the fourth one in ways of being the characters.

Balls of Fury was hilarious.
I liked:
Balls of Fury
Simpsons
Die hard or Live free. (forgot when it came out...)
Transformers (except this kid had to say, "Wow, mommy! look at that! he's optimus prime! and he can transform!"
TMNT (I liked Raph's costume.)

I loved Hot Fuzz but more as a movie overall than as a comedy. As far as funnyness, it was nowhere near as good as Shaun of the Dead. I want to see Balls of Fury, too, but none of my family wants to so I have to go with a friend and most of them have seen it already.
Also, why is everyone saying TMNT was so great? From the commercials it looks like it's for 3 year-olds.

Alright Balls of Fury was a let down. Not much of a let down but a let down all the same. I didn't find it nearly as funny as I thought it was going to be.
