This is the FAQ for the factions. Everything you need to know is chronicled in here for easy access.

What are the factions?
The factions are basically special groups where rules that apply to the forum are a lot less lenient, and there are also events and games that go on within them.

What do you get to do in these factions?
Well, for each faction, there is a special forum that only members of that certain faction can see. Inside this secret forum, of sorts, games and special events go on, and it's much more laid back and lenient inside these.

Well, how many factions are there, then?
There are four different factions.

How do I join these factions?
You must be a member for a whole month and have at least fifty posts. Why? Well, think of it this way. We don't want people to just join factions and go inactive. This is a little gift to ensure that we have regulars, see? ;] After that, you will take a small test to determine which one of these factions you will be.

Who do I pm to get the test?
Well, once you have been here for a month and have at least fifty posts, you can pm one of the approved sergeants (mods/admins, basically) and they will give you the test.

Well, wait, what if I don't get the faction that I want?
If you don't get the faction you wanted, don't complain. PM an admin or a mod, and they may work out a situation in that you can get a different faction.

Hey, man! I don't want to join a faction!
That's completely fine! Joining a faction is a fun little addition to the forum, and in no way is it mandatory. Don't want to join? That's fine!

In any case, we should make the factions creative. What I would say is to have a Microsoft faction, a Nintendo faction, and a sony faction. Then they could team up and debate against each other. Just some ideas.

We're going with four different factions, just because if we had Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, there'd be angry Nintendo fanboys in Sony, or angry Sony fanboys in Microsoft, and so on. We've got the following factions:

Fire
Air
Earth
Water


We're going to use symbolism to determine what faction you're put in. Fire is brave, air is laid-back, earth is neutral/sensible, water is wise.

Well...'brave' won't work. I'd say fire would be 'active, risky" the people that think after they do.

Water would be the calm. (We don't want to name them 'wise' because it could affect some others by pretty much calling them 'dumb'. Because we are basing this off personality, not intelligence.)

Air would be the, like you said, the laid back non-caring people.

Earth should be...well...I am not sure....but neutral/sensible aren't the words.

I agree with FTW on all accounts. Fire=risky/active...and hot people...jk

The real question is what will Earth represent because I'm thinking strong headed/persevering people.

That's it. Stubborn/head-strong. For instance, Dwarves in fantasies were always classifed as 'stubborn'. And where do they live? In rock.

And Forseti scores! Yeah I wasn't thinking dwarfs but it works.

I always put everything in LoTR before I make a decision. :o

Brainless: Should be the 'water' people.

Cannibals: Should be the 'fire' people.

Heart-Eaters: Should be the 'earth' people.

I like the factions idea, and I think that, regardless of names, that we should stay with it. Of course, if everyone lobbies, then we might change it, but whatever.

FTW, I think we should just stick to elements for now. We don't need to take the zombie theme (which still hasn't been necessarily decided) too far.

Ya lets just stick with the elements. Besides wouldn't Brainless be the earth people? lol.

First we change our name to the Game Zombies and not the 'GAMING Zombies.'. Now we have decided not to have a zombie theme but instead a elemental theme? That makes absolutly no sense! That's like saying Zelda universe would have nothing to do with Zelda. It's contradiction. It doesn't make sense.

Why join a site named "Game Zombies" when nothing is zombie themed? It's not fun. It's not unique. It's...how do I say it?...stupid.

I agree with FTW on one thing, that we should have at least one thing zombie themed. Maybe the Admin/Super mod/mod things.

Well my question is, elemental factions on a zombie themed site? It makes no sense.

Who says noone would want to join a site called The Game Zombies? And who said we need a zombie theme? x_x You're really overcomplicating things. At the current moment, we're just trying to get the site up and get things ready. We'll deal with the small things later.

Umm, the name of the site isn't a small thing. We should've just stayed as the gamer's haven instead of having a zombie name but not a zombie theme. It's consistancy.

Well, are the factions going to be like ZU? Because I found the clans a HUGE part of the site.

Well that is sorta like ZU with the clan arena, just that they have less competitions. Anyways, we should wait until we have more people to officially decide anything.

MZ. you said if we have video game factions, it would lead to fanboys that are retarded. But many fanboys don't stay on a forum for very long. If we have a time limit as well as a post count, and with the judgement of intelligent mods who can determine whether they are worthy through test and through watching their regular behaviour, I am pretty sure it would work out.

So how is this all going to work? I'll be a "sergeant" or whatever for the faction tests if you still need more people. Also I'd like to take the test if we;ve established them yet and everything.

Well the reason I was saying that is because I was pissed a couple of days ago and I needed to say something to get rid of rage.

I'm not saying that you haven't served a part of the site though nobody should pick at a bunch of different things. Mz said that we're doing elemental factions and we're doing them unless there is an insanely popular demand of people asking other wise.

Technically it's Mr. Zombie now. Anyways. I am not leaving, I am frankly just pissed off that someone in their right mind would bring up an arguement that has been RESOLVED a month ago.

So, muse, when do you think these clans will become reality?

I'll start working on those Lysis. We can't rely on mz. for everything. I have the test that shemzzie (sorry for mis spelling) I think gave us. So if you have made on Lysis just pm me and then I'll set the clans up.
