Title: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

What can I say, the game is looking good. The Wii controls will finally make the game feel like a standard FPS. The graphics, lighting, and textures look amazing. The gameplay looks great, and I am on a look out for what I think might be one of the greatest games of all time.

I'm in close waiting for Metroid Prime 3. It looks like an amazing game. If it makes me have as much fun as I did with Metroid Prime 1, then I'm up for it.

The one problem I had with the previous Metroid Primes was the scanning. The constant scanning of a level took so long. It was annoying. I just hope that they won't have you having to scan so many flippin' things and can actually get you into the game.

Shoot a monster, scan 10 things, repeat. Or atleast that's how I felt.

You didn't have to scan that much :P

I always enjoyed that. It made the game realistic and added to the suspense. Scanning never really was a problem. Now that we will be able to finally turn without stopping thanks to the Wii-mote, this game will rock.

When I play a FPS....I want to shoot things....that's it. XD I could care less about the scanning. But to see the secret ending you needed to get so and so %, but you can only get that by scanning every little thing. -.-

Well, Metroid Prime was never really just a FPS. I was more about exploration and having an adventure. It is unique, which makes the game stand out from all other FPS'.

I know what you mean!

Those Phazon dudes looked awesome. It looked creepy when they said the phazon started acting up, though. They were like "GRAAGH TAKE OVER THE PLANET"

Woo. Samus looks awesome. : D

I believe Nintendo have even specified that it is not a FPS, instead refering to the Prime series as FPA-First Person Adventure.

I personally hope that the scanning is still part of the gameplay, although perhaps they should change the formula slightly to allow for missed scans to be found again at a later time, except perhaps for certain bosses.

Ganon's daughter - August 23, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
Nope.

I think they should still keep the scans, and rare ones at specfic points. That was the feel of scanning.

You're Samus Aran, and if you missed a space pirate carrier - i.e. the two of a kind scans in Metroid Prime 2 Echoes - then you missed it.

It gives those hardcore Metroid gamers something to go. "ARRRG amazing!"

I could've gotten 100% scans in Metroid Prime, BUT, BUT I forgot to scan Ridley (meta-Ridley). I was gutted o: - guess I was just to busy KILLING HIM! - yeah....

Keep the scans! :D

SuperSaiyanShroom - September 4, 2007 06:08 PM (GMT)
KEEP THE SCANS

There needed, especially since its a FPA

The most necessary ones though are the Space pirate logs ones and the lore ones. Gives a cool sense of history and atmosphere to the game.

Looooooking forward to this, when i finally get a wii...

Speaking of the scans, is it just me who found tha scan of "Metroid - Dread" to be a horrible prank to play?! I really want that game to happen, another classic 2D Metroid, with possible touch screen features. Plus, a continuation of the story after Fusion. Come on Nintendo.

GD, was Ridley the only scan you missed?! The first time through, the only one I think I missed was the boss made up of rocks in Phendrana. Gutted. I'm yet to get 100% scans in Echoes.

Tacheon Black - October 2, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
Eh, just beat the game. 13:29, at 77%... Now to go for a perfect run.

The graphics were awesome, there was ( a lot of) scanning, but the gameplay was overall great, some great enemies (including the mother brain confrontation), and a lot of massive upgrades.

Not to mention, Phazon in and of itself is sextacular, and I actually got the idea for Tacheon's (my BA character on ZU) abilities off of it.

Lysis - October 2, 2007 09:53 PM (GMT)
You've already beat Corruption? Man, I haven't even bought it yet...I really need a Wii...

Tacheon Black - October 2, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
Heh heh heh... I'll just say this much... the final confrontation of the game isn't nearly as hard as, say, the boss in the first Seed. You'll see what I mean when you get there.

Lysis - October 2, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
Interesting. How much do them Wii's sell for nowadays? $250? I wonder how much a used one would cost...

Tacheon Black - October 2, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
There are no used Wiis, much like there are no girls on the internet, and that all 7-year-old boys are actually undercover FBI agents.

But yeah, you're talking about $250 for nothing but the essentials, basically just the Wii, stand, sensor bar, Wii Sports, the Wiimote, and the Nunchuck accessory.

Oh, and the power cables and crap, but it's really worth the money. Just trade in a bunch of junk you don't need, that's what I did... *cough GameStop cough cough*

Lysis - October 2, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
Well, if I were to get a Wii, then I wouldn't need my Gamecube...I wonder how much credit I could get for that...

Tacheon Black - October 3, 2007 12:55 AM (GMT)
Less than $50, even if you have the instruction manual and original box and stuff.

Lysis - October 3, 2007 08:11 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be much.
