What is your favorite console this generation? Post it here and discuss. Please do not bash other peoples preferences. Arguing and discussions are allowed, but keep it calm and civilized ok?

As for me, I only own a 360 but it is horrible. It breaks down every two minutes. :( I'll have to go with the PS3 since the games their look awesome and some of my favorite franchises are Sony exclusive.

Your 360 is only breaking down because you probably bought one when it was first released. You do know you can send it back to microsoft and they'll fix it....for free.

The PS3 sucks in general, it's pricy, has things I really do not need, has crappy exclusives (a few exceptions like GoW and RnC), has crappy multiplayer, etc.

The Wii is wonderful, it's small, it gives what I want, and overall it's a good gaming system as well as a price.

The 360 is wonderful. Awesome multiplayer, awesome games, awesome everything.

Wii and 360 forever.

I bought a 360 a year ago. Unless you like FPS'...there is almost nothing else to like.

The Wii isn't that great either. Party games...bleh. The only thing I am looking forward to is Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Even Galaxies doesn't look that great. Other than that we have our good old repetitive part games.

The PS3 is pricey because it is the most advanced console this generation. The PS3 gets so many good games I can't even start to list them all. The online multi-player isn't like Xbox live, but it is pretty good. Oh, and don't forget the Japanese market. Yeah, America and the UK aren't the only ones who are getting the games.

In summery:

PS3 is the best.
Wii needs more than a couple of party games to win this gen.
360 is bleh.

I have a Wii, and my friend has a 360. I go over to his house to play Gears of War sometimes. I can't wait for that to come out on PC.

I like the Wii. It's a fun console; it's not meant to be hardcore or anything. Plus, if that Sadness: Wii game comes out...wow..

The Wii might have some casual games, but hardcore gamers can 'core' there as well.

Gears of War is hardcore, just from the fact that you can use a chainsaw to rip people in half, all the while as their blood spurts and gets onto the screen.

I don't think the PS3 is that good. My friend has all three systems and sure, its got amazing graphics on Spider-man 3, but it overheats every 5 seconds. The Wii is great for family games and action,party,hardcore games. It's a system that everyone can play. The 360 is my middle favorite, because of its great internet connection and wide selection of games. I like the Wii because it's more of an experience, and with Prime: Corruption coming out it will be the start of good shooting games for Wii, not to say Call of Duty or RE4 are bad.

RE4 is overrated. I thought it detracted from the Resident Evil Gameplay. The story is lame, the sound/music is average at best, and the game can get slightly repetitive. The one of the only thing I liked was the graphics. :/

Personally I think the Wii might be the best. Sure it doesn't have a lot of shooters and such for the teenage gamer (I'm not specifying though any one who likes shooters is probably going to be disappointed with it's lack of games). Though it's made by Nintendo and they make a lot of family games so it's a good party/family/sometimes kiddy games console.

I don't know about you. But I found Animal Crossing one of the most ADULT games EVER. And since they are going to make one for the Wii, that makes it oh so much better. Seriously, I have it for the GC and the DS. Wonderful game.

That's weird because my friends would disagree. I on the other hand agree with you. It's not all make t-shirt and umbrella designs and catch bugs. You have to earn money to pay off mortgages, to expand your house size, and have an attic and basement.

PS3 is far to expensive for me to even consider buying, 360 is probably pretty good though. I think if I buy one of the three though, it'll be a Wii. Can't miss out on games such as SSBB and Galaxy. And you gotta love the motion sensor thing. Nintendo is all about doing new things (touch screen/dual screens with the DS, motion sensing/remote with the Wii) while Sony and Microsoft are more about improving what they've already got (which is fine, of course.)

Actually, I found the chopping up Tom Nook with a hachet, catching innocent animals, digging to build oil rigs, and illegally fishing some of the more 'mature' sides of the game.

Shoot, they might as well call it GTA: Animal Crossing.

Now the ONLY problem with the Wii is that it doesn't have enough third party support. But just you wait, they'll get some.

Wii lacks great games. The PS3 is getting their. Screw price tags, you get what you pay for. The games that are coming out are going to be top notch once developers use the system's full potential.

Besides 1st party games...the Wii isn't really that good. Motion sensitivity is annoying because it lags at times. Another problem is that the Wii isn't capable of delivering Epic games like the PS3 and 360 can.

I plain out hate the 360 because I kinda hate FPS'. I'm also more of a Japanese gamer of sorts.

I have NEVER had problem with lag with my Wii. Epic? Twilight princess...Metroid...galaxies? Those aren't epic?

The PS3 offers how many good games? Screw graphics, I want a solid good game.

Other games besides first party games from Nintendo please. Oh yeah, I still think that Galaxies is gonna suck.

2008 is going to be a big year for the PS3, not to mention that it actually is starting to sell pretty well now.

Besides Gears of War (which isn't an FPS and I never stated so), all the other games aren't great on the 360.

Coming from a person who has actually played all three systems, I know what I'm saying. Quit whining and take in my opinion. Don't like it? Oh no, too bad.
