Sorry for the name. I've a lack of inspiration. BUT ANYWAYYYYSSS...

These are the terms of the battlefield.

First, let me explain what this is. If you're an experienced role player, you'll already know what this is, basically, but for those who are newbies to rping, this is here for you. The battlefield is a place of all dimensions, basically, where users of the forum can wage battles against each other using their approved characters.

RULES:

1. No killing off of a character without the character's maker's approval.
What does this mean? This means that you can't say "OMG I KILLED U" without the consent of the person you are battling. This also means that you have the right to not be killed if you do not want your character to be killed.

2. USE YOUR OWN CHARACTERS.
I can't stress the infinite importance of this. You may not use or battle anyone who has not agreed to a battle with you. For instance, our friend here, Bob, would not be able to use his friend's character to battle some random character unless his friend said he could (even then, it's discouraged) and he wouldn't be able to battle this random character without their approval. Got it?

3. Correct grammar and spelling are important.
Although you may not think so, we definitely do. Just because this is your private battle does not mean that you can say stuff like "rofelz i jest stabd u in da hart reflz!!1". No one wants to read that. This is a way to guarantee yourself NO FRIENDS whatsoever, mmkay? Type out your words.

4. No battling in other people's battles.
This is pretty self explanatory, though for the hard of knowledge I'll explain it. If two people start a battle between themselves, you cannot just barge in and start rping unless they've specified that anyone can join in. That's rude and impolite, and any other synonyms you can think of.

5. Keep posts lengthy.
Exactly what it says. Keep your posts nice and lengthy, at LEAST 2 good-sized paragraphs. Don't just put "he dodged the attack. he stabbed the guy." Go into detail.

6. Specify in-character and out-of-character talk.
To make it easy for you guys and gals to understand each other, whenever you're speaking OUT OF CHARACTER, put OoC: before your words. Whenever your speaking IN CHARACTER, put BiC before your post, or iC. This makes it clear what is roleplaying and what is not.

7. Be patient.
Some of the greatest battles waged of all time can go hours, days, weeks, or even months without a reply. Make sure you be patient. ;]

8. Have fun!
Sure, there are a lot of rules, but overall we just want you to have fun with it. Make some good posts, wage some battles, and have fun!
