Title: Miyazaki films

Well I was just talking to mz. last night and we were talking about these movies and I thought that there might be more fans.

So. What's you favorite movie and why? Or if you just have a question about the movies ask away here. It's open to everyone.

My favorites are probably either Totoro or Howl's moving castle. Both are very well done. With the characters and their personalities or just the over all story line. It has the right amount of humor and kids can relate to what the characters are feeling (maybe not in a literal sense. Like who knows a giant bunny creature personally?)

Nausicaa. So far the best ive seen.

Howls was great too, but missing some...plot depth.

Totoro and porco rosso are great too. But the hype around Princess mononoke left me dissapointed. :(

Theyre good though :)

<3 this topic.

My Neighbor Totoro cannot be beat, nor can Howl's Moving Castle. They're a tie for first. Miyazaki is an incredibly creative person, and I have no idea how he can just stick his hand into his hat and pull out such fantastically imaginative films, but he manages to do it over and over again. The dialogue, the animation...everything melds together perfectly.

It makes me want to go back and be a small child again. :]

Looking back on the movies I have I really liked castle in the sky. It's story line along with the main idea of the pirates and the castle. Great character development and great inspiration. I mean, I have idea that could be done into stupendous creations though I lack the skill. Which is the most important part.

Oh, wait! I might've seen one. Can't recall the name though...

These are anime movies, right? or, at least they're drawn in that style?

Edit: I've seen Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Haven't seen them for a long while, though.
