Title: What's to Become of Crash and Spyro?
Description: Ignoring implies that you are a woodchuk

Back in the PS1 days, Crash and Spyro were the mascots that rallied newcomers to the Playstation...a healthy alternative to Mario, Zelda, and whatnot. Together they were among the driving forces of selling the system.

Fast forward back to today... Where are they now?

They are now more of a third party and spread across multiple consoles. There's nothing wrong with that, of course. The real problem I see is that they are both drying up. Maybe they were designed to rival Mario and Sonic, but it looks like they failed against the test of time. They are quickly becoming a forgotten page of gaming history.

And this is said for me, because I loved these two franchises to death. My most favorite Spyro's were the first three, and I loved games like Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing. Since the PS1 days, Crash and Spyro have tried to keep up, but to no avail. I was so excited to have Spyro: Year of the Dragonfly for Gamecube! But when I got to playing the game, it was so glitchy that playing it game me headaches. Crash has also stayed true, but I hardly ever hear of it anymore. I have Crash's Huge Adventure for GBA, and it's a very fun game! But is is just me, or are these two mascots ready to pull out the white flag?

What do you think is to become of Crash and Spyro?

They sold out. I really don't think much of them anymore, as most of their games have turned to spinoffs and lame little mini-game type jokes. Their earlier days were best.

I have the first three Spyro games for PS1. I don't have a PS1 anymore though, and the second Spyro disc never worked for some reason, which sucked 'cause I only got to play the very beginning. The first and third were pretty good though.

Yeah, Spyro and Crash are pretty much done for.

Crash is dead, and I don't really mind it.

But, Spyro. Spryo is cool, if only what you were thinking when you made this thread weren't true...

Huh? What do you mean?

I'm pretty sure he means that he likes Spyro and he doesn't want Spyro to drift away to the video franchise heaven.

It'll be sad once Spyro and Crash fall off the face of the Earth because of them not being as popular as they used to be. I still love playing my Spyro and Crash games whenever I'm bored now, because they're loads of fun.
