born of the sea's salt waves
Gentle current; a loving embrace
warm waters are the womb
She shelters the small and the large
each child of the blue world

Deep and mythic, she harbors mysteries
tiny oddities and monsters of legends
shrimp with claws of sonic boombs
fish in darkness surrounded by ghostly lights
whales leaping, singing songs of ancient life
dangerous beings patrolling with pointed teeth

All fish unique and fitted to her
surrounded by her blue arms
The true mother of life
She has given birth to wonder
