Title: Cannonary Campaigns:
Description: The Cannonary Campaigns begin.

Stranghill Olganis - February 15, 2008 04:50 AM (GMT)
This is an alternate universe. So I'm not sure it actually belongs in Sci-fi, but the setup of the universe is...

There are many other planets located and colonized, aliens are common and many are widely accepted by all other species.

TIMELINE SINCE 4000 (This was recorded using only basic knowledge, certain details are unknown to the recorder of this time line)

3858: Corporations across the planets begin forming the majority of every planet. Corporations with more than a small country's worth of people in it begin forming.

3864: Corporations begin having interplanetary battles for profit

3879: The first mercenary is hired by Omni-Corp. A corporation based on selling firearms.

3885: Mercenaries become common-use as an out-of-law way to deal with opposing corporations.

3887: The number of mercenaries hired and used in battles between Omni-Corp. and Trae Corp. (corporation based on selling firearms as well) reach hundreds on each side.

3892: Nearly every large corporation begins using mercenaries to eliminate competition.

3893: Police forces around the universe declare an inability to stop the rise of mercenary use. The Mercenary Campaigns are officially begun.

3893-4069: The mercenary campaigns continue, mercenary use becoming uncontrollable completely, and are basically considered legal.

4069: Volke Olganis, of the Shade species, reaches the highest rated mercenary in his home solar system.

4076: Volke Olganis becomes the first inter-planetary mercenary, used by companies around the universe.

4084: Volke Olganis reaches the most widely used mercenary in the universe.

4089: Volke Olganis marries Treya Aldress, another Shade, rated sixteenth in the most widely used mercenary list.

4092: Crullys is born by Treya and Volke. Treya dies in child-birth.

4096: Volke Olganis marries Iryala Baetrice, a Shade ranked twenty-first in most widely used mercenary.

4102: Stranghill Olganis is born by Volke and Iryala.

4105: Volke Olganis dies when diagnosed with an unknown, terminal disease. He charged a particular corporation and blew himself and the owner of the corporation along with more than one thousand employees using an extraordinarily powerful group of explosives.

4109: Iryala is killed when hired on an attack on Omni-corp. HQ.

4119: Crullys forms Shade-Works. The first corporation dedicated to organizing mercenaries.

4120: Similar organizations begin forming, taking other mercenaries. These organizations begin raising the prices of buying out mercenaries. This begins to lower the number of organizations using them, and prices for mercenaries increase further. The organizations that can still afford mercenaries are organizations that are immensely rich.

4122: Stranghill Olganis finishes the setting up of his Olganis Core, his own mercenary corporation.

4125: The mercenaries within the organizations begin leaving, forming their own organizations as well, this increases the number of mercenary organizations, but the wealth of certain mercenaries begin decreasing, and a few go back to working for the original organizations, such as Omni-tech.

4126: The successful mercenary organizations lead attacks on the organizations that were originally their employers, taking the wealth of the companies. (Olganis Core and Shade-Works included)

4128: A few mercenaries begin selling their services to the mercenary organizations, as single-soldiers, like the old days.

4129: The mercenary organizations rename themselves Cannonaries, after the cannons that outline their walls to protect from any attackers, as well as represent the aggressiveness that they lacked as mercenaries.

4132: The Cannonary Campaigns officially begin...

UNOFFICIAL RECORDS OF OLGANIS CORE SINCE THE START OF THE CANNONARY CAMPAIGNS: WRITTEN BY STRANGHILL OLGANIS:

Ever since I formed this corporation, it's been an endless competition between my brother and me... He's been leading in wealth and therefore equipment, but I have the more skilled cannonary soldiers, loyal to the end to me. When I hired a member, I sword I would not hesitate to kill them if I doubted their loyalty, but such a slaying was never necessary. I have what I believe to be the greatest technological mastermind since the Hacker Campaigns were started, at least from what I know of the Hacker Campaigns.

However, I have studied the planets in the universe's history, and I have discovered something I can use to rob every organization of all its wealth, with the help of every one of my tech crew, all my cannonary soldiers, my elite squad, and myself. Such a task will not be easy, but I have not long to wait... If I can prepare... I just need to prepare...

THE DATE OF THIS ENTRY IS UNKNOWN.

There are three main categories of units in this roleplay. There are
Mercenaries: Buyable soldiers who work for Cannonary Commanders, but can be bought out Cannonaries: Soldiers who work for Cannonary Commanders, the chances of these soldiers being bought out is incredibly low. These soldiers have different levels of skill depending on each individual. Some are less powerful than mercenaries, while some are greatly more.
Cannonary Commanders: These are the owners of the 'mercenary organizations' and run them. They are almost always the most powerful (combat-wise) members of the Cannonary organizations.

Cannonary Types: There are a few types
Soldiers, Security, Saboteurs (Espionage), Tech (hacking, etc...), Assassins (combat based Saboteurs), Elites.

Dragontear - February 16, 2008 03:01 AM (GMT)
Name: Stra-Yatan.

Age(opt.): 28.

Gender: Male.

Race (Make your own if you want): Hy'Rakken.

Racial Description (if made up race): http://z11.invisionfree.com/Shadows_of_the...dpost&p=2188074

Role: Freelancer Mercenary.

Sub-Role: Mercenary hunter.

Role Description: Working on his own or with the occasional 'happy-helper', as he calls anybody unfortunete enough to become his colleague, he hunts down particulary powerful Cannonary members, happily hunting down prestigious members for a large sum of currancy. As well as exploring.

Appearance(opt.): user posted image

Personality(opt.): Unlike many of his kind, Stra-Yatan is anti-social, honestly prefering to hunt mercenaries rather then work alongside others, and cares little for others. While he is not particulary self-centered, arrogant nor over-confident, he often takes it upon himself to do something rather than ask, and can come across as quite disdainful of humans.

Bio: Stra-Yatan is something of a outcast to the Hy'Rakken sociaties, for good reason; He had left the military ranks, the fire-caste ranks of a small Hy'Rakken colony for a life away from his kind, and for the aventure...with rewards of course. However, this has effectively had his rank and clan-name stripped, so he goes by his given name only, never telling of his family name either.

He origionally left his home planet, on his own and without assistance, in order to hunt down Cannonary members who had repeatingly attacked Hy'Rakken bases, ships and individuals, after leaving his home and slowly adapting to a solitary life, something uncommen amongst the more social aspect of the Hy'Rakken DNA; Stra-Yatan began to deviate from his origional plan, and soon cut himself off entirely to his home, his family and caste.

As a mercenary for hire, Stra-Yatan is well-versed in solitary work, and does so best from either ambush for hunting other mercenaries. Also unlike many freelancing Hy'Rakken units, he does not transfer the gains back to his parent colony, as he split from his family, tradition and caste-system.

It may also be worthy to note that he lacks a tail and the wings that many Hy'Rakken have, this may be due to a genetic defect or cross-breeding. However, he is far more tougher and can last longer in hostile environments compared to the typical Hy'Rakken specimen.

Stranghill Olganis - February 21, 2008 07:23 AM (GMT)
Name: Stranghill Olganis
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Race: Shade
Race Description: All shades bear certain qualities built into their biology that they themselves have never bothered trying to understand. They study the abilities of their enemies, but leave their own abilities alone, uninterested. All shades have grey skin, glowing red eyes, and fang-like teeth. However, they also have certain abilities...

Infra-Red and Ultraviolet Sight: Shades bear the ability to see in infra-red and ultra-violet. Although they have yet to find a real use for this, many shades are attempting to construct any sort of device or security system that will compliment this ability. Even without using this trait, they can see with much greater accuracy than humans.

Chameleon: Shades can meld into their surroundings just as chameleons can. However, they can do this at such a quick pace that they can move while doing it. The problem is that they need to be naked and doing it requires a great amount of concentration.

Smoke Exhalation: Shades have the ability to exhale large amount of smoke from their lungs on command. This provides a great way to escape an attacker.

Aging: At around the age of 100, Shades grow wings. At the age of around 230, their skills begin to deteriorate. Most shades live to the age of around 350.

Role: Cannonary Commander.
Sub-Role: He is most capable in strategy, but is also a good combatant and marksman..
Role Description: He commands Olganis Core, a cannonary organization, famed for having what might be the greatest technical expert of the organizations.

Appearance: (I was originally planning on using Heromachine, but I couldn't find the proper parts)
When in his base, he wears full robes and hood, as well as a face-mask. He has never showing his skin to anybody, or at least, nobody who has lived to tell about it.

When ready to fight, he dons a suit of advanced armor. The armor provides a exoskeleton-like barrier. The armor, as efficient in combat as it is, is very lightweight. He wears a helmet that completely shields his face, although it can open partially to allow him to exhale smoke.

Personality: Stranghill is a commander who shows signs of paranoia, constantly believing that one of his soldiers may be on the brink of turning on him. He has established many threats that he is more than happy to carry through with in order to make sure that nobody betrays him. However, despite his paranoia, he cares for all his soldiers as if family, due to the loss of his father and mother, and believing his brother is pure evil. He is a vengeful sort, and if he believes he was wronged, he will stop at nothing for vengeance.

Bio: Stranghill's history has been mostly explained in the time line. All other pieces of history are unknown to all except himself. (They will be explained as the rp goes on)

Burnfire - March 14, 2008 06:13 PM (GMT)
Name: Tarl Moek. (Tar-l Moe-eek.) In Parasou tounge it
Age: 43.

Race: Parasou.

Racial Description: The Parasou were once a feared race. They were a massive nation that controlled many galaxies. Unfortunately fate came to them one day and rebellion started, weakening the main Parasou empire. The Parasou had of course made many enemies so they took this oppurtunity with gready hearts and hands. The Parasou people as they had been known were shattered in to clans which fled in all different directions; eventually reunitng on such a brutal planet that most if not all are rumored to be dead.

Parasou are, one average, about 6" 5. Their hides are thick and are a dark orange. The men are naturally muscular and the females of the species are trained to keep on par with the mens' ability for when the men are off to war. They, unlike most species, have four eyes compared to the traditional two. The sets are above one another with the top ones a bit more to the sides than the bottom ones. The first set of eyes, the lower ones, are used for normal light situations while the top eyes are used to help adjust for high and low/no light situations. Their hands possess no ring fingers and they only have two thick toes on each foot. Their hair tends to be red or a dark orange n color and their battle armor is usually black, symbolizing betrayel due to the rebellion.

Role: Mercenary.
Sub-Role: Not a Cannonary.
Role Description: His tribe which call themselves: Tral' Lek which means 'Black Plauge' in their language; run their own mercenary ring.
Appearance: Like an average Parasou but he has short, spiky dark red hair. His armor is like this but with a taller and darker visor.
Personality: A very dutiful and religious man, Tarl is devoted to his faith. When you become his friend you are that way for life and he will be willing to through himself in harm's way to help you.
Bio: Tarl Moek was one of the few fighters in the rebellion he led who actually lived. His parents had died when he was young because his father had gotten killed in a war, his mother killing heself in grief. Thus when he turned 18 he started to gather people who felt enraged at the government like he did togethor. They marched on the local government office and took it over, holding it and the local governer hostage for eight weeks before Parasou special forces soldiers infiltrated the building. The governer was killed while Tarl and some of his most trusted soldiers escaped alive. He then got on the soonest departing ship. He and his surviving rebels managed to hi-jack it while keeping the passengers alive. Just before the main barage of missiles from a neighboring race's ship hit his planet, he had left. They reached a small, uninhabited planet where the people converted to his group's beliefs. They now run their own mercenary group but try and keep Parasou existence a secret from those who would wish the race entirely gone and thus, he has rarely ever taken off his armor when not on his homeworld.
