Title: Wolf's Rain
Rayne - February 9, 2008 07:00 PM (GMT)
Yes, as per promised i am starting up the rp today. I won't stall too much with an over-long introduction, so i hope you enjoy yourselves and... well have fun rping!
As far into the future as fate has brought civilization to it's knees, the world is dominated by four forces of tyranical power. The four "Nobles", or one's to whom the ancient knowledge of alchemy has passed down to after the first apocalyps each own one quarter of the livable world- mainly cities and villages. There are many places however that are barren, war torn, and basically unhabitable. These territories are not owned by anyone, and remain a land for the outcasts. Sybilius... Darcius... Jagaara... and Oakun. The four ruling powers, none happy with their amount of power.. all with the desire to own more, to hold more power. And becuase of this they seek the ultimate creation- the Lunar Maiden. Created from their immense alchemic abilities, as legend fortold.. this creature would lead the wolves to paradise. Darcius was the one who's great grandfather (Darcius the first) created the concept of Lunar Maidens... neither human, wolf, nor flower exactly.... but a key. A key he hoped would open paradise to him and all the nobles. When he attempted to open paradise using the flower maiden, he killed himself and most of the rest of the world in the process. Now with the newest generation, the four ruling clans battle and amass their forces to steal the last remaining flower maiden from Oakun and his scientists and regain the dominant power.
Meanwhile.... the wolves feel a stir in the winds... something is awaking.. calling them, a soft scent is carried to their delicate noses across the plains of desolate ruin. The scientist are getting feeds, signs of life from the beautiful and fragile creation which stirs within her home, lids slowly raising, startling red eyes gazing. Some believe in paradise, some cannot resist the call.
It is said, as the legends of ancient fortell..... when the wolves leave to search for paradise, the world will end. But for 200 years, the world was already dead to these magnificant creatures of myth. Outcast, hunted, captured and killed to the very brink of extinction, no human in their right mind would even ever believe wolves still exist. The only one's who knwo otherwise are the Nobles, and the Hunters. Humans who have been hurt, or lost because of the existance of wolves.

Scar awoke to a fully raised sun. tilting his hea dup to glare at the bright orb that had managed to rouse him from his sleep. he dreamt of her again. The flower maiden. He dreamt that him and his old clan had actually stuck together, had marched across the land, and eventually, after their long journey, had found her. They had been happy, the fragrent scents wafting in the air, as they knew they would soon be taken to the promised land. The world went white, and then, he woke up.
Scar let out a small yawn as he stood up. He felt really uncomfortable, considering he had literally fallen asleep on a flat rock.Scar had been travelling for the past little while, as the humans continually grabbed territories as their own. It wasn't safe to stay anywhere for too long. looking up at the sun, Scar realised he had really slept for a very long time. The reason was simple, he was starving. It had been at least a day since he had eaten anything. Sure, he had hunted, but a lone wolf does not get much, especially in this barren wasteland. The hands of man had corrupted it greatly.
Scar rememberred well the faces that had caused him this fate, all belonging to those of his former clan. They were fools, and would bring their clan to their deaths in their endless pursuit of a legend. A legend Scar had once believed to. Scar looked at his surroundings, and felt the pain in his stomache. It was time he fed his slowly starving body.
Earthsong - February 10, 2008 12:28 AM (GMT)
Bright ice blue eyes blinked open as a cold drop hit the owner's nose, causing her to sneeze. She looked up, glaring at the dripping ceiling of the small cave her companions sheltered in, before getting up and stretching out her sore limbs.
Shaking out her silver-white fur, Earthsong made her way from the sleeping form of her mate and adopted brother, padding delicately out of the cave and towards a puddle.
Slowly lowering her head, she began to drink, qwenching her strong thirst, drinking more than a normal wolf would; she was, after all, providing for two... perhaps even more, if lucky.
The she-wolf allowed a slight ember of excitement grow, feeling very proud to be carrying the pups of Nynthias. But, with the pregnancy, came the neck-breaking hardships to actually make sure it comes into the world alive.
With that thought, the excitement died, making Earthsong feel depressed. She hadn't been this sad since the time Wolvenfire was exiled from the last pack she was in.
Those cowardly fools.
With a shake of her head, Earthsong stopped her drinking, her thirst gone, and walked back towards the cave. Using the pad of her paw, she prodded Nynthias first, attempting to wake the larger white wolf up.
"Nynthias, I'm leaving to scout out for prey." She said gently, hoping her mate heard her words. "Wake Shadow up and prepare to leave. We need to get moving."
Earthsong really wanted to leave the cave; it wasn't safe to stay in the exact same spot in her territory for too long. Humans often traveled by, and they were sure to see the wolves if they didn't leave.
That, and the fact that the Lunar Flower's scent was getting stronger by the day, coaxing her to follow the smell until she finds the source.
So, with one more hard prod to Nynthias' side and a light kick to Shadow's rump, Earthsong trotted off and across the nearly grassless plain, her nose low to search for the slightest hint of prey.
Dragontear - February 10, 2008 12:46 AM (GMT)
He dreamed of hat fateful night, once again; The night when Nynthias had been the next victim of a devious and barbaric human trap that was intended for the bears, although such a species was also pratically dead...the 'teeth' of the metal device ripped into the large White and black wolf's back leg, deeply into muscle and grating at the bone of his muscular leg. Subconciously shifting his aching leg, the heavily muscled wolf scraped a few claws against dark stone of the cave's floor.
He continued to dream, but instead of being saved, his dream turned into a nigthmare, as he dreamed of dying a long...slow...lonely death...
He woke up with a silent start, jaw and back leg working slightly in nervious reaction. Golden eyes slowly flickered open, to be greeted by that fair maiden of a white wolf, Earthsong...immediently his mind seemed to recover from yet another saviour-less nightmare, and instead seemed, just like his quiet smile, seemed to brighten up.
As soon as she spoke in her loving voice, and left he cave. Nynthias was quick to react. Looking to the slumped form of Earthsong's adopted brother, the larger white-wolf gave the male a string of pronounced yet un-harsh pokes with a paw, then moved onwards to catch up to his beloved. Not without taking a quick drink from the small pool of water that ha formed from a light depression in the surface of teh cave's hard, rocky floor. His neck craned down to allow him some liquid to quench his body's need, then Nynthias moved onwards.
Yes, she WAS hunting, not just for the immediete pack, but for the cubs that now grew in her belly. He could not help but look over her beautiful body, a loving, tender rumble erupted but not loud enough to amply distract his mate.
He also kept low, but his larger size, almost huge compared to some of the rare wolves, made his stealthy attempt simply appear...amusing. So he stopped, and layed on his toned belly and waited. He wanted to be with her, forming a loving yet obsessive desire to be close to the female. Some of this drive came from a loveless relation ship from his father, or perhaps a mere distant view on life...
Raziel - February 11, 2008 04:55 AM (GMT)
Ryan Blaire traveled the city streets, disguised as a young, male beggar. To the naked eye she was a boy, half starved. The world would be better if they knew her as nothing more than a faceless vagabond.
When she had left the military, disbarred for her weakness she had realized that all a man or woman could do was get by. She no longer had a purpose... she was just a killer without a cause... and had too big a heart to be much of a success at the killing part.
She took a knife from the side of her ratty pants, cutting a slice off the apple she'd managed to nab earlier that evening. She had abandoned her home, since some of the enemies she'd made while in the military would love to find her and wring the life from her bones. Staying on the streets, just staying mobile was the safest way.
She hid in the shadows of the ally, relaxing if only for a moment. She brought her fingers through her ratty blond hair, sighing deeply. She needed to find a place to sleep for the night, somewhere before dark. She could feel the sting of the cold air that was beginning to settle in.
She munched her apple, closing her eyes, seeing flashes of her past life behind her eyelids. Her training, Talon looming over her, covered in sweet smelling sweat, the wolf who had saved her life, and the life she had refused to take...
They all swirled around her as if she was in a haze.
Pattyman997 - February 12, 2008 12:15 AM (GMT)
Shadow stood at his friend Earthsong's side and licked her muzzle playfully and gave a happy yip. Earthsong had been his only friend for as long as he could remember and they had been through so very much together, he was fericously protective of her and had promised himself that he would never let anyone harm her. Now she wasn't his mate just his very good friend, truth be told he had never really thought of her as a mate more of a little sister. He swished his tail and bounced about playfully, he was always trying to get his good friend to play with him. Although they were both young wolves, Shadow had not lost his playfulness and as he thought, they had plenty of time to act like grown wolves.
Earthsong - February 12, 2008 03:05 AM (GMT)
Earthsong jumped at the feel of a warm tongue trace her muzzle, completely breaking her concentration on the search for prey. She had been so ingrossed in the process that she had failed to notice Shadow and Nynthias was already there with her.
Now, this made her smile, but she was a bit grumpy that she had been distracted from the trail; her nose had caught the smell of a rabbit.
It wasn't much, but it excited her nonetheless. If they were lucky, they'd run across a family of rabbits.
Without warning, Earthsong made a small yipping sound, a signal to stay downwind and quiet, and began to slowly pad forward. The scent was pretty close, and she hoped that Shadow's bark didn't scare them off.
It seemed that their luck was good that day.
There, digging for roots, was a black rabbit, and beside it was a female brown rabbit. Earthsong nearly barked with joy.
'What luck!' She thought, her tail wags slowly behind her. 'Soon, little ones, we'll finally have a meal!' She clawed gently at the earth below, ready to pounce on the unsespecting victims.
Her shoulders hunched and she readied herself for the lunge, ice blue eyes narrowing in determination as she waited for their gaurd to go completely down...
Rez - February 13, 2008 01:07 AM (GMT)
Scar wanderred for a couple of hours. The area was so empty...so vacant of any life whatsoever. He didn't like it. There was barely any room to hide, if someone happened to be coming, and he probably wouldn't be able to change forms without being seen as a wolf first. But, he continued walking, he walked until his paws started aching beneath his legs. he could feel his stomache growling, and then he smelt it. Water. the ever so faint scent of water. Scar picked himself up, and actually began running towards the smell. It wasn't long, before he found it. it was what had once been a river, now nearly dried up with a siongle puddle remaining of it's former glory. Scar sighed. What had the world they lived in come to? the answer was simple...extinction. It was a dog eat dog world, only the strong would survive. And Scar was pretty sure, even if this generation lived, the next would disappear. They were toast, the game over, the battle lost.
All of a sudden, Scar caught the slightest bit of movement out of the corner of his eye. He had a thought;Where there is water, there will be food. He darted out, towards the soruce of the movement. With eyes widening, he saw them. A couple of rabbits, all hopping around so freely, so unworriedly. Yet, they were thin...obviously having not eaten in awhile themselves. Scar took a moment, watching the rabbits hungrily, and punced, catching one with his jaws as the others tried to run away. He bit deep into the rabbits flesh, only then noticing he was not alone. leaping back, he saw that there was another pair of eyes watching him. Scar dropped the dead rabbit to the ground at his feet, and let out a little growl. "Who's there..?" he asked threateningly.
Earthsong - February 13, 2008 01:22 AM (GMT)
Earthsong let out a loud snarl of frustration when she saw one of the rabbits bolt, leaving its companion to fall at the paws of a large wolf. She dropped her head and lowered her ears, letting her lips curl slightly;
She was in no mood to socialize to the one who ruined breakfast for her and her companions.
The lowered ears perked when the male spoke, his voice laced with a threatening growl; it didn't frighten the she-wolf in the slightest.
She debated on answering him, coming with the conclusion that it'll be better to try and reason with him.
"We're here." She answered, emerging from the shrubs and padded down to stand infront of the newcomer, her ears perked for any sign of danger.
The pups stirred within her belly, causing the she-wolf to shift in her spot, while staring straight into the male's eyes.
"And I must ask, why do you tresspass on our territory? That rabbit you've captured was over here and, not to be rude, but it is our property."
Dragontear - February 13, 2008 10:01 PM (GMT)
Tilting his head, Nynthias did have to admit, that in his usually distant or calm mood, he did infact feel slightly irritated when Earthsong's adoptive brother, Shadow, appeared past the largest of the white wolves and interupt her patient hunt. He smiled to her face, nothing could ever, EVER make him upset when it came to his lover and mate. He knew she was pregnant, even in the early stages of bearing pups, and thefore had to feed more. Nynthias would have gladly hunted and not bothered to eat his own fill, for even though his sheer size and muscle was a great assest in defence, it prevented his body from being able to hide itself, for while his muscle and strength was a blessing, it was actually a 'condition'
A odd genetic defect, one could say. His body could not produce fat, but produced far more muscle than required. While the pain of his body eating his own developing muscles made him cringe sometimes, it was a necessary bodily function if he was to survive through any kind of starvation. Granted; he didn't really feel hungry, but knew his body was in need of nutrition.
Though when she had scarpered into the bushes, to confront a male...Nynthias did not try to be stealthy.
Crashing thorugh the bush-line, not far away, the large white-wolf's heavily fluffed and muscled form was at least far bigger than the oddly furred male's own comparative size, and a deep, rumble emitted, as if imitating a non-aggressive growl, as if merely keeping this male from doing anything...aggresive.
Spreading his heavy paws and lowing his impressive body, the black streaked fur of his tail and back gave him a rather odd appearance, more so was his potential to fight. Yes, even though he was heavily built, his own fighting 'style', if you will, was not a brutal kind.
Rez - February 13, 2008 10:29 PM (GMT)
Scar growled a bit louder as he saw the female wolf come out of the bush. He had no desire to really fight, but he wasn't about to be chased away either, and his eyes showed it. He was about to say something as a second wolf came into view, a larger, white wolf. Now, looking at this wolf, it was clear that in a fight, he would b at the disadvantage, but he wasn't afraid. He wasn't planning on running, no matter how bad the odds were. But then again, he didn't exactly want to fight either.
Letting out a little snarl, Scar decided to try and reason with them. "I don't live by anyones rules...if it's your territory...how come i've never seen you before..." he said with a smirk, suddenly realising the answer. "You've beer moving...havn't you....YOUR trespassing on MY territory..." he said and looked down at the rabbit he was fighting for. Was it really worth it?
"Look...i'm not in the mood tof ight. Leave here by tonight...i don't want to see you again...." He said, and picked up the rabbit, as if about to leave.
Earthsong - February 13, 2008 10:39 PM (GMT)
Earthsong let out her own snarl, feeling her hackles raise and her eyes flash gold; how dare the male speak to them like that!
She was now pissed off at the rudeness of the male, her expression displaying her displeasure, as she stomped up to him, shoving her face close to his. She was so close that their noses almost touched.
"Look, I've tried being kind and asked you a simple question. I care not if you don't follow anyone's rules, but I know with my heart that this is NOT you're territory!" She growled, her eyes narrowed.
"You scared off the only prey we've found for months, and you have the audacity to tell us off? Foolish!" The she-wolf winced when the pups stirred more restlessly, as if begging her not to exert her energy.
She calmed slightly, allowing the male his personal space, before snorting loudly. "And, whether you like it or not, I'm not leaving this place. Not until I find a decent meal to feed my mate and brother." She announced stubbornly, her fur still bristled, as she glared with cold ice blue eyes.
With another snort, she turned her back to the male and gave a light, affectionate nuzzle to Nynthias, attempting to get his attention.
"Let's go and try to find that other rabbit, Nynthias. I have no desire to fight in my state." She offered her mate gently, hoping he'll forget about the other male and join her and Shadow on another hunt.
Dragontear - February 13, 2008 10:54 PM (GMT)
Keeping his chest and head closer to the ground than his raised rump and swishing tail, Nynthias' posture soon changed the moment, the instant when his loving mate became more angry. While Nynthias himself had offered little more than a deep rumble, hoping to either make this black-furred male aware of Nynthias' position, and thus Earthsong's guardian; he no longer thought of the apparently rude wolf and sat up from his mock-aggressive position.
Moving to sit on his rump, muscled arms strained as a rope of muscle under the skin pulled at his arupt movement, causing a small moment of dulled pain. Rolling his shoulders to loosen his back adn shoulder muscles, a sense of relife washed over as the tightened muscles re-aligned and relaxed. Taking a very faint breath, the particulary large wolf tilted his head slightly, and watched the male with apparently un-blinking golden eyes. black fur around the eyes made his yellow orbs of vision actually stick out.
His tail whipped the air once, then batted the ground twice more, hoping that this rathe rodd motion showed his lover his own concern, not for the food or the male, but for her. While he was not exactly telepathic, the robust White Wolf could see when she was exherting herself... when she was in pain or upset.
Like any other time, he wanted to comfort her. Having little in the way of voicing his desires, he had to show her what he wanted, and while he could speak, he had difficulty in doing so, as muscles un-used for speech were strained at the mere desire to speak.
So speaking was a minor ache, and an indulgence as such.
But now? When Earthsong nuzzled his shoulder, Nynthias slowly looked to her eyes, straight into her icey-blue eyes... with a tender and loving way. "Earthsong...rest...I will find us prey...rest." He spoke to her, struggling to work his jaws to do so. His voice was very deep, beastly, yet far from un-intelligent.
While geastures, emotions and words was second nature to man wolves, the deficiant DNA made Nynthias particulary un-suited for such tender nuances...yet...he spoke now.
No pain would stop him from loving his dearest. Yet even though the un-freindly male was present, Nynthias lacked the good sense to feel anger, and simply, slowly and calmly moved his head to look into the male's own eyes...waiting.
Rez - February 13, 2008 11:08 PM (GMT)
Scar watched the two wolves with a growing anger, especially after what the female had said to him. "Well...it's a sink or swim world...get over it..." he said to the female, obviously not caring when the last time they had eaten. Scar looked from the two of them, opened and closed his jaws for a moment, asd if considering biting something, but deciding against it. "I'm not saying anything else...don;t want to waste my breathe...and frankly...i don't think you two do either. You both look like if you breathe too hard now you might never breathe again...so shut it and get lost. I'm not changing what i said...get out of here by tomorrow...or there will be trouble..." he said, with an angry tone. His fur bristled for a moment, as he picked up the rabbit once more. He was going to enjoy it. Scar gave a little annoyed huff, and walked away with the rabbit in his jaws.
He had long stopped caring about other wolves. Why should he? They had abandoned him, led him chasing a ghost, then took away his life. he had no love for them. They had forced him into this existance, they weren't going to force him out of it. Taking the rabbit, Scar eventually found a cave, and began munching on the rabbit wholeheartedly. Yet somehow, it didn't sit right. It might have been his conscience...but the effect was the same. he only ate half, and then left the rest for later. God knows he'd need it.

[ wow... AMAZING job you guys! really good stuff, i'm loving the rivalry lol. And Twitchy... :( awwww damn! well, rewrite as mucha s you can remember whenever you find you have the time :) anyways onwards to my long postponed post...]
Wind howling, the air trembled at the onslaught of tremorous rage the earth beat upon itself blow by blow. A long shadow, a large dog... no... something different. More wild, untamed, powerful, strode from behind one of the ominous crumbling structures of metal rods and dead, hollow rock.
Within half a heart beat the rather large paw that rested on the sandy ground was gone and in its place a human boot stood. The woman stepped fully out of the darkness and gazed around the eerie atmosphere, a wave of chills washing over her perfect porcaline skin for but a second. She shook her head of thick grey hair sadly, her eyes a mirror beguiling the past.
Looking around at where she was, Rayne saw what were once magnificant buildings wron down by ravaging war and drought to nothing but a sandy desert with a few ancient columns of steel rods poking about here and there, metal and rock slabs laying here and there in ruin alike as the wind agressivly pushed against them like a never ending current, lifting the sand until one could hardly see two feet infront of them.
But then again, these days most of the planet was liek this. A ghost of it's past glory, nothing but an empty shell. Sighing, the she-wolf in her human form lept from the ground with inhuman grace to land on one of the tallest structures, nearly 50 feet above her head. Her eyes allowed her to see past the translucent viel of sand which danced around her. Why was she here? She swore she asked herself this question a million times. Everytime she was positive she smelt it, it disspaeared leaving the trail cold, only to pick up twice as strong as soon as she gave up. For months now an oldworldly scent filled her nostrils even amongst the poverty and death all around her. She could feel it gently tugging at her, calling her back to her nature. Notes of gentle flowers with the barest undertones of sweet summer grass and crystal lakes. Not a scent that was common in this wolrd- unless of course on went into the territory of the Nobles. With that thought she gave a low growl and a shudder. It was the nobles faults, they kept the knowledge of healing and rebuilding to themselves. Although perfectly capable in creating water from sand they selfishly kept the earth barren so that none could oppose them. Their knowledge was their power, alchemy was their power.
Careful to avoid the thousand year old land mines left behind from the age of war, Rayne lept gracefully from broken structure to structure, racing across the desert, her speed in human as her agility seemed to defy gravity itself.
If she could make it to the city by nightfall, perhaps she could scavage something to eat after weeks of living off the ice water from the region she had just exited this very morning. That was a sort of mutation that resulted from abusing the world to it's brink and beyond. For a few miles there may be ice as far as one could see, and immediatly as if someone had drawn a crude line with a crayon, there would be desertous sands as far as the eye could see.
After a few hours of travelling at a neck breaking pace Rayne finally saw the looming metalic gates which marked the entrance into the city. The gates were tall- taller than 200 feet in height, several meters thick. Luckily for her, she did not need to climb the assualted exterior, it would seem a few farmers were the last one's to be allowed into the city as the sun turned bloodshot on the horizon, shimmering beneath the line of darkness.
Nonchallantly picking up a worn and raggedy old cloth someone was using to cover a pile of potatoes, Rayne draped it over herself, bending her back as low as she could to hide her exceptional hight from the huards that were checking everyone through. Holding her breath she hoped they would look over her without noticing the potruding daggers anbd swords she kept at her side. They must have been anxious to go home becuase they impatiently waved her through, without even seeing her face. As soon as she was out of sight she let the material slip from her bare shoulders like sandpaper over silk. Shaking her head to rid it of a few crumbs of dirt which had fallen from the filthy thing onto her, she took to the building tops, the stars shining from above as she looked around her. Complete buildings whole and tall stood below her, a buisy stream of hybrid cars grumbling along the paved streets, getting caught as they sped home to their families with the day's wages.
Further in the distance she could see trees, proud and green casting a dark shadow over the flowery parks that spotted the area. She was in Oakuns city now. Well, one of his cities. And the scent of flowers was stronger then ever.....
Earthsong - February 20, 2008 03:11 AM (GMT)
Earthsong gave her own annoyed sigh as she watched the male wolf stalk off, her ears lowering at the thought of not having any breakfast.
'Well, there goes a meal.' She thought, looking out to where the other rabbit had escaped. She let out another sigh.
'Back to the old drawing board.'
Her ears perked up when Nynthias spoke to her, sending a shiver of adoration down her spine; she had always found his voice quite rugged and, secretly, adorable.
His proposal was very tempting to say the least, for her body, from the lack of food and working to develop the pups, tired easily; but she wouldn't let that show to anyone, for she was just too damn stubborn to stop and rest.
But she had more than just herself and her packmates to worry about, knowing that being excessively tired could hurt the pups.
With a small sigh, Earthsong nodded her head to the larger white wolf, a loving smile adoring her lips.
"Okay, Nynthias." She said, giving him a quick affectionate lick on his cheek, before heading back to the small cave they were in before. She turned her head to look at Shadow, giving him an affectionate flick of her tail against his flank.
"Shadow, why don't you go and help Nynthias on his hunt? I'm pretty sure the odds of finding prey will be higher with you two working together." She suggested kindly, giving her soul-kin a smile.
Dragontear - February 20, 2008 10:17 PM (GMT)
Watching the male before he spoke, Nynthias particulary impressive size would hopefully force the male from beginning un-just and un-even combat. Granted, he DID feel weaker than he ever wanted, but he would assume that this male wolf did not have the specific desire to attack. When the male worked his jaws THEN spoke, a small frown formed upon the larger white and black wolf's face. Although his golden eyes, seemingly far more brighter due to the black circles of fur around his eyes, watched the male with a impassive yet expecting look.
His words were quite insulting, as well as the threatening use at the end just before the male retreated. It was apparent that Nynthias would have to fight yet another wolf, and possibley kill another of the few wolves that forced him to do so. While he did not enjoy the idea of fighting, it did actually make him feel far more alive than he currently did, only being close to his lover, the female wolf that nuzzled, spoke and walked away from him; did his heart beat faster due to the exhilerating emotions.
Cocking his head, Nynthias did not look to Earthsong for what seemed the first time in weeks, as he remained sitting on his powerful haunches - stared at where the male had left. This only happened when the particulary massive white wolf felt threatened or expected a fight...
Rez - February 21, 2008 04:17 AM (GMT)
Scar did not sleep easy that night, he kept thinking about those wolves that he had seen earlier. Something botherred him about them. They felt familiar somehow, like a scent he had smelt before. He couldn't pin point exactly what it was, but, he just knew that something was there. Getting up, Scar began to walk outside. The sun was just beggining to set. This usually wasn't a good sign. Things got terribly cold when the sun set, and it could become dangerous if he did not keep warm. His cave was very warm, but he found he was getting thirsty. At least at night, any water he could find would taste a bit more fresh. Walking out of his cage, he immediately shiverred, just a bit, feeling the wind gradually beggining to blow. He turned back to his nice, comfortable cave. A single thought came to his head. What if he could not find any more water? "No...i won't be gone long...if I can't...I can't" Scar thought, and ran outside.
It took him several long hours of bitter cold, the sun finally setting, when he actually found a scent. Following it, what he foudn surprised him. It was a log cabin, long unused in this forgotten wasteland of a wilderness. From this log cabin, a single icicle dripped water to the ground. And remarkably, he wasn't the only one to notice. For sitting right their, licking at the drops, was an entire deer. Scar could not remember the last time he had seen a deer. Such a feast could keep him fed for a month...longer, if he did not mess this up. It too, looked starved. Watching it hungriyl...Scar prepared to pounce.
Earthsong - February 21, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
Earthsong felt a harsh shiver run down her spine, forcing her to bristle her fur to try and keep her body heat.
The pups in her womb shifted restlessly, hungry and, as if they could feel it, cold, signalling their discomfort to their mother. Earthsong got it clearly.
She had been at the small cave she, Shadow and Nynthias had found for quite some time, and sun was setting, allowing the cold airs roam freely among the living for the night.
The she-wolf hated cold nights.
It made everything feel weaker than they already were, forcing them into sluggish movements. Lucky for wolves, they had thick fur coats; that didn't mean that they weren't cold though.
Besides, being hungry and cold at the same time wasn't a good combination in Earthsong's opinion, so she made the decision to look for food; the scent of prey had been tempting her to venture away from the small, warm haven for some time now, and she figured that going another way to look for food would be smart.
So, she trotted along, following the scent, until she came across a deer near a cabin. It reeked of humans, and a candle was lit at the window dimly, but this didn't register in the she-wolf's mind.
What did register was the fact that, despite being skinny, a rather large buck was in her pouncing range. Instincts went off like alarms, and the only thing that suddenly popped in her mind was a simple, but firm command from her brain.
Attack.
Earthsong did just that, the order forcing her limbs to move quickly, and she lunged, lusting for the prey's meat, as she unsheathed her claws and bared her fangs.
It all happened quickly for the poor animal.
The white, ice-blue eyes beast came at it with a driving speed and force that it couldn't even realize what was happening. Earthsong made sure of that by sinking her fangs into the deer's neck, forcefully yanking back, and ripping its throat from its confines of the body.
She swallowed it before looking down at her kill, wasting no time, and beginning to drag it off towards the direction of her little den, so she, Shadow and Nynthias could all feast.
As she did so, the she-wolf's ears perked up, and she finally noticed that she was not alone, forcing her to grip the kill harder, fangs clenched around torn flesh, and ice blue eyes flashing a molten gold.

Scar couldn't believe it. The kill, his kill, snatched before him by the other wolf, the same wolf from earlier. He let a low growl rumble from his throat, as he followed the wolf a short ways, then spoke as she noticed him.
"I believe i told you to be gone by tonight....or...are you deaf. Maybe it's just my memory. If that's the case...get lost....drop the meat....and get lost. Or...I won't be as nice..." Scar said, and bared his fangs. He looked around, to see if any others were in the area. When he saw that none were, he realised that this time he was not outnumberred.
"Don't make me fight you...I don't want to fight you...." Scar said. His teeth remained bared, as he came closer to her, preparing for a fight.
Dragontear - February 21, 2008 10:47 PM (GMT)
Cold nights hardly bothered Nynthias. True, his heavily muscled form lacked any kind of fat, tehrefore would feel the sting of cold far worse than Earthsong would, and because several patches of muscles felt like they were going to burst through the skin, at least metaphorically, made him feel discomfort in a wholly different manner during the colder times of year. Yet pain... whether serving such a agonising feeling or recieving more punishment, he was used to such a negative feeling.
Wrinkling his muzzle, the gold eyes were closed, and the black fur that covered his eye-lids made his face appear to lack eyes altogether. Ever since that male made a veiled threat to his lover, his mate... to Earthsong, Nynthias had not enjoyed any ounce of calm rest nor sleep he was very well used to.
He knew his own time would be soon if his body did not partake in feeding, for his own muscles were being, literally, eaten away by his own body, for lack of any effective energy storage.
However, the moment her scent became far less apparent, golden eyes opened, then narrowed slightly. He had offered to hunt, and had tried so many times...yet the very great amount of muscle that allowed the white and black wolf a advantage in battle, made his large body pratically un-able to effectively hunt. For his bulk alerted his intened prey, even though he often broke into a great and fast sprint... he was simply too large to hunt rabbits that could - at the blink of an eye - vanish into relative saftey.
Shaking his head slowly, he just as slowly rose to his impressive height, sniffed the air multiple times, and began to slowly track her, the sounds his particulary heavy paws made were not silent at the very least.
Even though the cold physically assualted his dying body, Nynthias could somehow feel himself moving quicker with each moment, for the scents on the wind began to tell him tha his lover had caught something...and also could be in danger.
Granted; he would not arrive immediently, but he hoped and prayed that he would not have to find his lover in a fight... not now...
Earthsong - February 21, 2008 10:52 PM (GMT)
Earthsong's eyes flashed again, this time seeming as cold as the color of the orbs, as she growled lowly from her throat, her ears perked and her claws unsheathed.
Whether she liked it or not, she may have to protect the kill she had made, so she released it, her fangs dripping blood as she bared them.
"I do not follow the orders of those who think highly of themselves. Whether you do or not, I will not leave this place, nor will I leave this kill." She growled, fur bristling to make her look twice her size.
Though hungry, the she-wolf was determinded, and the lack of food over the years still haven't slowed her muscle developement.
"And don't think threats will intimidate me; it takes more than that. So..."
She stood and paced forward, standing infront of the kill, her lips curled tightly to reveal long, thick, blood-covered fangs. Her white claws were already unsheathed, glistening against the dim sky-light, as she posed herself for a fight, her muscles tensing at the ready.
Her eyes flashed the color gold again, this time her left eye remaining that color, as she bristled once more, her legs stained crimson from the kill's blood, as she snarled, the rumble vibrating into the ground.
"Go ahead and show me your 'agressive' side!" She growled, lowering to the ground and preparing for a fight.
Rez - February 21, 2008 11:10 PM (GMT)
Scar felt slightly taken aback that this female chose to fight instead of run. He had been preparing for it, but hadn't really expected it. But he wasn't about to let his kill, this meal that could keep him going for a long time, go to her, and he wouldn't share. No, this was a dog eat dog world. Survival of the fittest.
For just a second, Scar hesistated. Was he really going to kill one of his own kind? It seemed the only option, and though he hadn't really wanted to fight, he would. He watched as her fur bristled, but it didn't succeed at intimidating him. Watching the meal with an open hunger, Scar growled. "As you command..."
With that, he charged, and managed to tackle the wolf as hard as he could, sending them both sprawling to the ground. As they landed, Scar tried to claw at her, trying to cut her. The world was unmerciful. He would be even less merciful.
But, something about this felt wrong. he truly felt like he should not be doing this, like a saint commiting a sin. But, it didn't distract him much, as his claws came down.
Earthsong - February 21, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
Earthsong felt the air get knocked out of her when the wolf attacked her and, feeling claws cut deep into her, cried out, blood splirting from her newly formed wounds.
But something within her stirred and she barked out, knowing exactly what it was:
The claws were too close to her stomach.
So, she bucked her pelvis upwards, catching the male wolf off gaurd, and shot up, freeing herself from his claws.
She then whirled and lunged, her fangs sinking into his shoulder, and she shook her head harshly, as if trying to rip the skin right off.
All the while, she braced her whole body onto him, her hind feet's claws sinking into his sides whilst her front paws' claws gripped tightly onto his back, attempting to force him to the ground without getting herself thrown off.
Rez - February 21, 2008 11:26 PM (GMT)
Scar felt his attack was succesful, but let out a small yelp as he felt her teeth sink into his shoulder. Something about the attack enraged him, and as he felt her claws dig into his sides, and blood begin to spill from his body, he knew he needed to think quickly. Pulling his mouth to the side, he managed to bite into her ear, as if trying to tear it off, but found this wouldn't be enough. With a snarl, Scar tried falling to the side, landing on top of the viscious female, and breaking from her grasp.
Scar let out another growl, as he felt flesh tear away from his shoulder when he was released. She had torn some of it off of him. With another snarl, Scar came onto of her while he had the chance, and started clawing at her chest, as his teeth came down to bite into the side of her throatm, just under the neck. His claws visciously tore at her, as his eyes seemed to turn red with rage. it seemed they would finish this.
Dragontear - February 21, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
Sniffing the air, Nynthias had come to slowly feel that something horrible was happening. It was a sick and deep feeling whereuponhe had never ignored such a thing before, and he was not going to ignor it NOW. Lowing his body slightly, the large white wolf began to run as fast as his worn body could, his back-leg's old wound limiting his ability to sprint in such deep-rooted panick. Golden eyes were wide as the scents grew stronger and stronger, blood was in the air.
Eyes narrowed dangeriously as he set about trying to find the source of these two scents. Mere moments before Nynthias had little clue nor idea of what was truely transpiring, and he still did not udnerstand the situation fully...yet he felt as though such a sick feeling in his stomach guided him, not literally so much as gave him additional pressure and greater reason for his weary form to be by HER side with all speed.
Grunting and taking deep breaths to try and extend and maintain his pace, Nynthias beat the dirty and cold ground harshly, ignoring multiple muscle strains that formed and healed, but the latter was FAR slower.
He was not too far...he could hear them, for his large and sudden arrival would be more than a moment or two, more than a few seconds at least...even from any distance, the pair would hear fairly heavy movement. As Nynthias crashed through undergrowth, through bushes and and leapt over broken branches with determination now slowly turning into anger. That SCENT!
Earthsong - February 21, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
Earthsong cried out in agony as her body was torn at, her flesh tearing open and blood spilling.
She yelped and howled, attempting to push the larger animal off, but to no advail; he was much larger than she was, and the pups were, though not purposely, sucking the energy right from her.
She could feel herself weaken swiftly and she howled out, finally finding the strength to push him off. With all the power she could muster, she kicked up with her hind legs, scoring a harsh hit in his stomach, and forcing him away from her bleeding body.
The white she-wolf attempted to get up, but she knew it was futile; the hits were taken in her weak-spots, blood pooling below her, as she stood weakly, her ice blue eyes returning to normal, but never ridding themselves of the determination.
But, sadly, that's all she had, for the toll of carrying unborn pups and going on without food for a period of time caught up with her swiftly, adding to the weakness her wounds brought to her.
So, all she could do was stand and growl, with the occasionall whimper of agony, her ice blue eyes glazed over with exghaustion, as she soon collapsed.
She struggled to get up, only her fear of loosing her pups driving her past her limit dangerously, forcing more blood to surface from her already bleeding wounds.
'I... I've got to get up!' She howled in her head, but her body wouldn't listen, forcing her back to her own puddle of blood.
Her blood-stained fur was still bristled, this time with pain, as she peeked one of her eyes open to look at the male wolf before her, feeling her breath catch in her throat in fear.
'I must... look pathetic..' She thought fearfully, her eyes now wide, as she stared at him, expecting him to finish her off with no hesitation. Thoughts raided her mind, and her concious yelled out at her, telling her that the deer wasn't worth the death of her unborn kits, despite it being needed badly.
Her ears lowered and she struggled to get up again, just to fall once more, more blood staining her white fur.
'Nynthias.... Shadow... Wolvenfire...' She whimpered in her mind, muttering the last name, the name of her long lost brother, by instinct, watching the other male with half-closed, fear and agony filled glacier blue eyes, almost pleadingly.
Rez - February 21, 2008 11:55 PM (GMT)
Scar watched his attack succeed, as the females attacks slowly stopped. However, he was not expecting to be pushed with an amazing amount of strength off of her. As he got up, preparing for another strike, he realised she was done. She was not going to get up. For a second, Scar considerred leaving, to take his prize and go, but, then he thought about it. SHe must have been in so much pain. It might have been better to just kill her and end it. But as he approached her, and she began muttering...he listened.
is jaws had opened, about to close upon her lungs, when he heard her speak a name...a name he had long forgotten...but a name he had rememberred. Wolvenfire.
Scar's eyes widened, as his sat straight up, a surprised look in his eyes. "how do you know that name? Who are you?" he asked, practically shouting, when suddenly, it became all too clear. A pang of unimaginable pain suddenly hit him, as he knew who she was. her ice blue eyes, that glistening twinkle he had known long ago.
"no...it can't.,..it just can't be....no..." he said out loud. But he knew it was. As he began remembering, it became more and more clear.
"Earthsong? Earthsong? God...no....i'm so sorry...get up...please....." he said, and brought his head down, nuzzling her own, tyring to help her, though not knowing what to do. "Come on sister...i'm so sorry....I never knew...." he said, and began, out of a sudden concern, liking her snout. He then moved down and tried to lick the wounds, realising he had been the one to cause them. "No...earthsong..." he said, and he to lay down, feeling lower then the ground itself." I'm so sorry...." he said, and tears began falling from his eyes. How could he have forgotten? How could he have done this to HER? Not to her....
Dragontear - February 22, 2008 12:23 AM (GMT)
The amount of blood and agoising emotions, the amount of anger and animalistic rage made Nynthias quicken his alreadyfast pace, something that brought pain to his back leg. Yet no pain - no pain in existance, this world or the next - made the large white and black wolf slow down. He quickly made his own self-preservation secondary compared to fully-well knowing the state of his loving mate. He would force his way through the last line of bushes, when he heard more howling, HER howling and agonised wailing. Un-able to control his rage that had built up so quickly, Nynthias let loose a near-ground-trembling roar, howl or enraged call.
Whomever had done this amount of painand blood-loss to his lover, would be given no mercy nor last wish before paiful death overtook it. Bursting into the clearing, Nynthias' enraged golden eyes, wide and near-blood-shot golden eyes that stood even further from the black fur that surrounded his bright yellow eyes, narrowed as he witness a black wolf near his mate.
Even though he seemed to weep, seemed to beg and cry....Nynthias did not even pay attention to WHAT he was doing, for his anger had replaced common sense and kindness. He did not even reliese, until he was nearly upon the smaller black wolf, that he was already moving to kill.
When he faught against a fellow wolf, he only tried to resist and repell a wolf... this one, however; did not deserve such basic mercy. Nynthias was quick for his bulk, yet mentally slow to reckonise exactly what had occured between his mate and this filthy piece of scum.
Enraged beyond control, Nynthias leapt over Earthsong and grealty barged into the black wolf. Even though such an enraged wolf must have been, at the very least, terrorfying, Nynthias lacked paw-eye co-ordination and didn't sink his claws into the target.
Rolling a heavy and un-gracful roll with his prey, Nynthias was quick to attempt to not just raise one heavy paw while pushing down with the othe ron the male's chest... Not JUST to slash at his already wounded foe, but to force his raised paw into the male's weaker body if possible. Knots of muscle tightened greatly from such exhertion as his tense paw fell with great effort. A utterly primitive and un-caring desire to reek pain and death emerged.
Rez - February 22, 2008 02:02 AM (GMT)
Scar continued to weep over her, trying to think of anything he could do to help her. "Sister....don't....please...don't leave me....not again...I should have been there for you...." He muttered, when all of a sudden he saw a colossal form collide with him, sending him sprawling backwards.
Scar let out a startled yelp as he felt incredibly sharp claws dig into his flesh. All his thoughts had been focused on his sister, and he was so enraged with himself for hurting her that right now, this attack brought him into a fury himself. Using his back legs, he kicked the great wolf off of him, digging his hind claws deep into his chest. Rolling into a battle ready stance, Scar shouted to the wolf. "Stop...we have to help her!" He said, but even as he said that, he was leaping at the wolf, in an attempt to bring his front claws into his sides.

Scarred skin, slightly wrinkled, was creased as the being looked around the fire at the members of his once healthy and proud pack. He knew things had changed, knew that things were getting worse. He had known of such things for a long time...ever since Paradise was nothing more then a fantasy... nothing more then a simple dream that would never exist.. not for them, not since the flowers scent had become impossible to follow.
Tobison sighed heavily as he thought of his packs many attempts at finding the thing that was called Paradise, but the thoughts faded, leaving his mind and soul...just as paradise had. It didn't exist... and he doubted it ever would. He looked at all the rugged wolves around him, their pelts varying from greys, browns, whites, and blacks. They were all rather big wolves, although beautiful in their rugged way, they had chased away one of the only females to come into their town, which had also lead to more members dying. It wasn't common to find a female, and if they were.. they were to be treasured..not treated as bitchs jsut to mate with. Tobi shook his head as his eyes met with another wolf's.. once who had tried to get with the wolf..but had not succeded- that last part of his thought, made him smile.
He got to his feet, knowing the brown packages in each of the members hands would soon be devoured, after all.. the scent of blood was already teasing his own nose, but he waited till his family was comfortable, before he even glanced down at the meat that was wrapped up in his hand. They had worked so hard just to get these simple, yet rarely found; meals. He got to his feet, and walked away from the wolves around him, knowing he soon had to find another job for teh pack..before they went hungry...once again.

Red eyes danced gently behind soft eyelids, the greenorb surrounding her keeping her body still, unless she squirmed a little, but she hadn't moved.. at least not yet. She wasn't fully awake. Wouldn't be for a little while, even though she felt her saddness suddenly overwhelm herself. She could smell a wolf's blood.
Her body shivered, sending the scientists studying her into conversation. They'd never seen much reaction from her, and know.. they didn't seem to know what to expect. Her brain waves were moving so quickly, so rapidly, that her emotions seemed to seep out of her as Inwe thought of the wolf who was injured. The poor thing. She had known she was needed, but now, there was proof. Another wolfs blood had been spilt.. and it was soon time to awake.
Inwe's body went back to her normal still state, even though her emotions were still raging, as she wondered what the beautiful smelling creatures were doing, and who had been injured. She wanted to help them, and knew they had to do with her future. Inwe's scent grew stronger, as she focused on teh wolves, hoping, beyond hope, that one of them would come to help her.. to free her from Oakuns grasp.

Earthsong - February 23, 2008 10:20 PM (GMT)
Earthsong's ears perked up suddenly when she heard the male wolf speaking to her, licking at her blood-caked muzzle, then her wounds, suprising her to no end.
He uttered the words gently, tenderly, caringly, just like her blood-brother always did before the inccident with their packmates. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks.
This wolf WAS Wolvenfire!
Earthsong could hardly believe it and, if she could jump for joy, then she would have been at the very moment; but, the thought was ceased when a scent hit her nose hard, sending her mind on a whole new topic.
'The... Lunar flower...'
She already knew who the scent belonged to, she was just shocked to know that the Flower Maiden was awake so soon.
The she-wolf, despite her wounds, was quite pleased with the news, and she was just about to inform the worried ball of fur that was her brother...
At least, until the thought died away when Nynthias tackled him.
The attack was very swift and sudden that it startled her, her body too weak to force a noise from her, as she watched the two roll across the ground.
She saw Wolvenfire kick her mate off, yelling out to him for his assistance in helping her, but still charging for an attack.
'I have to stop this!'
The thought raced in her mind as she struggled to get on her paws, teeth clenched to indure the pain.
"Stop!! Don't fight each other, please!" She begged, blood dripping with each movement, as she limped over to them slowly.
Dragontear - February 23, 2008 11:18 PM (GMT)
Feeling his large and heavily musscled chest being sliced at, Nynthias let out a deep, rumbling bellow of anger, hate and pain as he was effectively kicked off. Reeling backwards, the rippling layers of wearing muscle tensed as the white and black wolf's nose took in the surrounding scents. The golden-eyed large wolf did so as he tried to prepare another leap, when the black wolf suddenlly yelled something at random. Scents of blood quickly filled his sensitive muzzle as he became more aware of the light wound that spanned as upwards of three short slashes across his heaving chest.
The pain was rather minimal, considering how much raw... anger radiated from Nynthias' mind. The words did, however jaw the alrge white wolf, but not before the black wolf decided to attack HIM. Growling a very deep, almost booming growl, Nynthias waited for the male to close in, un-aware that Earthsong was really closer than he thought, then praticlaly pushed off the ground with his front paws, advoiding the attack, the half-falling back, both heavy and clawed paws close to one-another, in a heavy attempt to push down an incredibly powerful motion onto the male's neck, potentially snapping the male's neck if the blow connected.

Scar was about to attack, his vision blurred by red, his only desire to fight, though whether it was this opponent or his own inner demon he did not know. He was about to leap at the large wolf, but suddenly ceased as he heard a voice. It was earthsong! SHe was still alvie! He immediately stopped his attack, and turned around to look at her, forgetting about the large wolfs attempt at attacking him. He knew he had left himself open, but he had to see her. He had to see his sister....
Pattyman997 - February 26, 2008 09:05 AM (GMT)
Shadow snarled with his hackles raised as he watched the two males fighting and went to Nythias's side, giving him support and snarled at Scar. His eyes held a dangerous glint as he glared at Scar "I will not allow you to harm my dear friend Earthsong or her mate," he said lowering his head in aggression. Seeing his lifelong friend Earthsong limping over towards them Shadow padded over to her side and leant her his support, helping her along and he whispered in her ear "Earthsong my friend, you know that I care for you greatly as my one and only friend, if it would make you happy I will stop them fighting," he said quietly for only her to hear. Then he looked back to Scar and Nythias' "Can't you see your fighting upsets Earthsong!" he said angrily "So stop it! Stop this meaningless fighting, Earthsong is a dear friend of mine and I won't see her upset," there was meaning in his voice "Now come you two, your acting like a couple of pups."
Earthsong - February 26, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
Earthsong let out a grunt of appreciation to Shadow, giving him a weak lick to the cheek before nodding her head. The female forced herself to sit down before dizziness overcame her, ice blue eyes glinting brightly.
"You two... have to stop it..." She attempted to warn, her ears perking to the sound of movement in the cabin nearby.
She knew that she made a lot of noise when she and Wolvenfire fought, and since the human didn't come out was a miracle in itself, but the ruckus the males were making was starting to draw their attention from sleep.
"Nynthias... Wolvenfire, we must leave! The humans... they're awakening!" Her voice was now urgent, on the edge of frantic, as she forced herself up again. Swiftly limping over to the fighting males.
Not the smartest idea, but her ears were now in overdrive, hearing every single step the human made as it came closer to the window.
She froze when the light flickered on, and let out a loud yelp when a male human voice boomed roaringly.
"What the hell? WOLVES!!! THOSE DAMNED CRITTERS ARE STILL ALIVE TO ?!?!" He yelled, poking his head out of the window and staring hatefully at the lupines before bolting back into the house.
This made Earthsong cry out in panic and, in pure desperation, pushed at Nynthias' flank harshly, attempting to get his attention.
"We've gotta go NOW!!" She cried out, turning to look at Wolvenfire before nipping his own flank.
"I beg you, please stop and let us leave before the human comes back!"
Earthsong backed away and grabbed the forgotten deer meat, tugging weakly on it, as she tried to lure the males from their fight and to the kill; it was too risky to go without food again, but Earthsong couldn't drag it by herself, not in her condition.
"Brother, mate, stop! Please!"
Pattyman997 - February 27, 2008 09:16 AM (GMT)
Shadow sat next to his old friend Earthsong and returned the lick, he leaned against her to help support her "Earthsong is right," he said "this fighting is meaningless. If we don't get out of here now the humans will find us and then we will all be in trouble," he said and looked across at his old friend Earthsong, uttering a concerned whine. He took part of the meat in his mouth and helped Earthsong drag it away, he swished his tail as they walked and he too wanted the other males to cease their fighting and come with them. Never having had a mate of his own Shadow did not know how Earthsong felt about Nythias but Earthsong was the only friend he had ever had, if she was upset by these two fighting, so was he "Come on you two," he called to them "come eat with us, come wth us and get out of here while we still can."

KK so you guys get moving! lol)
Rayne gazed over the city as her senses took in all the differnt sights, scents, and sounds to be had. As usual, the sity was alive and bustling with tall skyscrapers, cars whizzing by, and people comming out in their evening attire to dine at fine restaurants as the sky dimmed and the solar laps outlining the streets began to activate senign a warmy fuzzy glow over the lively city. In exchange for all of these pleasures and comforts the citizens gained, they had to swear ultimate allegience to the point of giving their lives upon the whim or request of the ruling Noble. Shaking her head Rayne gazed about her in disgust. It was always better when you were free..... or it was, but these dyas people were desperate enough to sighn their souls off for a piece of bread.
Leaping gracefully from the tall building, Rayne landed softly into the clean allyway below her and padded soundlessly into the darkness- the smell of food driving her to the point of insanity as the night became filled with lucious mouth watering aroms both sweet, sour, spicy, salty, and everything inbetween.

Tobison growled as he walked out of the building he had entered, the humans wouldn't let them have anymore jobs for now, they had no people coming through town for a little while, go figure. He sighed and headed back to teh members, his eyes and scarred face peering around a corner at the members, who were sitting around the fire still, eating some of the meat they had from their packages. Tobison was suprised they hadn't eaten all the food yet, and he gave a small shake of his head as one of them peered up at him. "No... not for a little while." He said frowning as he sat back down in his seat around the fire with teh rest of his pack.
He knew they Lunar Flower scent had grown stronger, and it was teasing his nostrils, but he wouldn't move, they'd tried to help her before, but hadn't succeded. He yawned, and allowed his eyes to drift shut slightly, even though he knew he wouldn't be able to actually sleep. He had never been able to since the night so many members of his pack had died, in their quest for the Flower Maiden.

Inwe shivered as she felt more fighting continue, her scent had indeed grown even stronger, as she began to awaken. But she wasn't completely awake, just aware of her surroundings, but mostly aware of the wolves. She wondered what happened to her family, to her sisters, she hoped they were still at home, waiting for her to return.
