Title: Rise Against

Rise Against - January 7, 2008 10:05 PM (GMT)
Citizens began to gather in massive numbers, centering around one building in the city. That building, the nation's capitol building, had been lit on fire and had been burning for several hours. Firemen from three different surrounding cities had encircled the raging flames, and had already dumped kiloliters of water on the building, but to no avail. The flames would not die down.
Then, out of the smoke and the night sky, two streams of light were seen, coming from surrounding forests. The two spotlights danced around the sky, as gradually a vibrating sound became clear. In but a few seconds, smoke began to clear from the area, pushing down and outwards. Once clear of smoke, citizens gazed as three helicopters hovered above the scene. To assure the helicopter's had the citizen's attention, the spotlights focused on the middle helicopter.
From the ground, people began pointing to a figure standing on the edge of the helicopter, glaring down at the crowd. The figure looked to be wearing a red outfit, and denim slacks. His face was masked by a pair of black goggles, and a red bandanna.
"People of our nation," came a booming voice, emitting from numerous speakers equipped to the helicopters. "Your government has finally made you into a society fit four our twenty-first century." By now, it had become apparent that it was the figure dressed in red speaking, for as he spoke, he motioned with his arms.
"Over the past two-hundred years, you have let our country become weak," the voice drew on. "Your governing leaders have mislead you, took control of you, and made you drones to their manipulating ways." Several shouts came from the people, but were distorted out by the roar of the helicopters, the rage of the fire, and the blasts from the firemen.
"I offer you a solution!" came the voice. "Look upon your Capitol! The threshold of what you pledge your allegiance to. The containment and fortress of which your leaders dwell in, plotting for their benefit. Your government leads your country into wars, conflicts that could have been avoided with no dismay. Your country claims to boom with patriotism! Is it patriotism? Or is it your government beating messages into your clay like minds? Ladies and gentlemen, I offer you a chance! A chance to fight back, and reclaim this country you believe you try so hard to protect! My name is Rise Against, and I offer you a solution."
After the final words, the helicopters began to release a deep red gas out of their exhaust. The gas was caught by the current of their propellers and began to swirl around the three helicopters, soon cloaking their shape and form. After the gas had cleared, the helicopters had completely vanished from view, leaving no trace.
"Did you get that?" came the excited words of a national news reporter to his cameraman, who had been previously filming the firemen's efforts to extinguish the fire.
"Every word of it," said the cameraman, who's camcorder was wired up to their nearby truck, emitting radio waves being sent to every household in the country.

Hey there, I am Rise Against. I write a lot in my personal life, hoping to be an author as a side job later on in life. I find role playing a fun and entertaining way to practice creativity, originality, and basic writing in general.
My favorite kinds of role plays are any that are original by the author. I strongly dislike fan-fiction role plays, for I find they are a waste of time. But, I may participate in them occasionally. Topics of interest I can name right now may involve anything involving revolution against a higher power, civil wars, a 'World War III' type of theme, etc.
So, I look forward to posting more here and getting more active on the site.
