Title: Mortal Kombat Konquest
Rez - December 15, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
Shang Tsung walked out of the fortress. He had just recieved direct orders from Shao khan. The emporer had been furious. Shang Tsung had been expected to win the mortal Kombat tournament easily, and doom earthrealm, but due to that loathsome Lui Kang, Shang Tsung had failed.
Their convorsation hadn't been pleasent. As Shao Khan had said 'you weak, pathetic fool. Normally, for a failure as great as yours, you would be destroyed. Unfortunately, I still need you....". So, Shang Tsung had been given another chance. The second mortal Kombat tournament was coming, but before it came...Shang Tsung needed to assure there was no chance of anyone...especially Lui Kang winning.
Shang Tsung thought he could do one better then that. He had a plan. His target wouldn't be earthrealm this time...but Edenia. "Mileena..." he said, turning around.
"We have a little ways to go yet, but we'll reach the Tarkatan's soon. You'd best make sure none of them see..what you are..." Shang Tsung said, turning around. He himself had once created mileena, and now he had to work alongside her. She was a key point to his plan...a plan that would make him twice as powerful as he was now, and perhaps ven give him the chance to conquer Shao Khan. But, such talk right now of that was treason and death. He would play his cards carefully.

"I know master. I will not show anyone" Mileena replied giving a respect bow to him. He was her creator, made from her own twin sister....Kitana. Oh how she hated her so much, but she would have her revenge. Until then she followed Shang Tsung loyally.

Nightwolf strode along through the wilderness alone as usual. But that was the way he prefered it, no one to slow him down, no one to hold him back. He had left his tribal lands some time ago on his quest to follow the path of good and seek out the dark spirits which troubled his people. His muscles rippled as he walked, back in his village they had been insisting he take a wife and settle down to raise a family. But he was not ready for that yet, he was young and besides he had work to do yet. The idea of settling down and raising a family just did not appeal to him at this moment in time, perhaps it would later but just not now. He shrugged and ignored these thoughts he had a job to do, he had to track down evil that he sought and end its threat.

Reptile had waited a moment after Shang Tsung had left, and then, turning himself invisible, he slowly followed after him. Watching him the whole time, and following in the distance. He had been given orders from Shao Khan, his master, the one who had helped raise him practically, and whom reptiles loyalty lay eternally with. His orders were simple, and no challenge for one such as Reptile. He just had to follow Shang Tsung, and make sure he was doing what he was orderred. If not, Reptile was to report back immediately. It helped keep a leash on the sorceror.
Reptile was not the only one sent, the other was his partner, Jade. Jade was tomeet shang Tsung later, and join him, to help with whatevger plans he had. It was designed so that he would not think her a spy.
And so Reptile, actually only a few feet away from Mileena and Shang Tsung, walked, watching, waiting. He would not let his master down.

Khameleon stalked a lone man as he walked through the forest, her invisibility keeping her well hidden and safe from detection. It was a sad life for her being ever so alone on this plane.
From the shadows she sensed a determination in his walk and the way her bore himself. A low growl escaped from her throat, one of interest, not of malice. She skirtted up a tree silent as a lizard, jumping from trunk to trunk following him. She would show herself to him soon enough. But she had to make sure he was not of Shao Khan.
He would not live long enough to see the end of the trees if he were.

Shang Tsung nodded at mileena, and continued walking. It wasn't long, before they saw the outworld refinary. it was a large metal factory, currently home to the tarkatan's. The tarkatan's were violent, freakish mutants of humans. Shang Tsung, showing no fear, but frowning slightly, walked into this placve, past two huge metal doors.
He enterred a room to the sound of screaming. This place smelt of death, of blood, of torture, and of pain. It was a smell Shang Tsung had been expecting, and one he had known before. As soon as he and Mileena walked in, they saw them. the tarkatans. They were everywhere, perhaps hundreds of the creatures, perhaps more. Some of them tortured seemingly innocent civilians unfortunate enough to be caught, some ate greedily at food that was probably well spoilt. But they all looked strong, and capable warriors. Unfortunately, most looked generally the same. Some of them looked at Shang Tsung, with the obvious desire to leap and kill him, but most did not yet notice their presence.
"I'm looking for the one they call Baraka!" Shang Tsung shouted out and suddenly, there was silence. Every Tarkatan in the room was staring at them, with hungry and devilish expressions on their hideous faces. They walked forward, encircling them, obviously ready to strike. Shang Tsung for a moment, thought that they would have to fight, but everything was stopped suddenly by a sudden noise.
The noise was of scratching metal, and it was very loud, and very drawing in the silence of this room. All the tarkatan's turned, and shang as well, to see one particular tarkatan scraping one of the blades in his arm against a whet stone. He barely noticed them as he did so, but his presence demeanded attantion, and when he stopped, he looked down at them, from the balcony in which he stood. All of a sudden, he chucked the wet stone into the air, and swung around, blade going right through the hard substance. With speed like lightniing, he jumped off of the balcony, landing between shnag and mileena and the tarkatans. He lifted up his arms, and caught both pieces of the whetstone in his hands.
"I am Baraka...." he saidand sheathed his blades. Shang Tsung had to admit, this tarkatan did look impressive compared to the others. Shang Tsung smiled, and bowed his head.
'Greetings Baraka...i am-" he was cut off, as Baraka spoke.
"I know exactly who you are! You are Shang Tsung, the worthless dog the emporer sent to give ME orders. TO give US orders. Tell me SORCEROR, were you expecting a celebration in your honor? Give me one reason, that we shouldn't kill you both right now. WE follow SHAO KHANS orders...not the words of a washed up magician." The creatures booming voice echoed through the halls, followed by the laughter of some of the tarkatans.
"I have not come here for a fight...-" shang said, but was again interrupted. Baraka knew exactly who he was, but did not seem afraid of him in the least.
"Then you've come to exactly the wrong place. This is an ARMY sorceror. Not just any army...but a TARKATAN army. We don't just want a fight...we DEMAND a fight. And who better to fight with then the washed up old magician who dares...DARES to give US orders?!?!?" Baraka said, and the tarkatans actually cheered, and let blades come out of their arms.
"Insolent fool...you want a fight...I have plenty of fighting for you to do. But we are not your enemy. Nor would i presume to give you orders. No...good tarkatan...i've come to you as a partner, not your better. You will give the orders. Now..if you would like a fight....let me talk to you. Let me tell you what plans the emporer, in his wisdom, has for the glory of the tarkatan army." Shang Tsung said, and the tarkatans were silent for a moment. Baraka seemed to be considering this for a moment, but he came to a decision shortly.
"Very well then sorceror...come with me..." he said, and walked into a private room, obviously set up to be his chambers. Noone noticed the one, invisible, reptilian man come in as well.
"Now...tell me...what plans do you have for us and-" Baraka said, and stopped, looking at Mileena.
"Kitana?" he asked in blatant shock, looking at her.
angelic - December 17, 2007 03:09 AM (GMT)
Mileena stood silent throughout the whole thing.
Unlike Shang, she wasn't that impressed with this Baraka. Anyone could easily show off, but more than anything when he talked down to her master she wanted to immediately fight. She ran her fingers over her sais but moved her fingers when they went into Baraka's chambers
She wasn't paying much attention to him after that until he called her Kitana. She shot a death glare at Baraka, pulling out one of her sais and pointing it right at him "How dare you call me by my retched sister's name!" she said in an angry tone

Shang Tsung put his arm on mileena's shoulder. For anyone who knew what she was, they would never put their hand THAT close to her face. But, he risked it, knowing she wouldn't strike him.
"Mileena...don't be offended. the fool didn't know any better. besides...it is a good sign...it means our plan can work. Unfortunately...your going to have to get used to being called by that name. While the plans in motion...it will happen a lot." Shang Tsung said calmingly, and looked at Baraka. Baraka looked prepared for a fight, but did not have his arm blades out yet, smiling a wicked smile. The smile of one who enjoys the sight of blood, and even more so enjoys a good fight. His pitch black eyes shown with an animalistic desire for combat.
"Sister?" he said, and put a hand to his chin. "I see...I understand...your going to switch the two. Your going to have one pose as the other...and control the enemies army under their very nose...HA!" he said, and looked at Shang Tsung, expecting an answer.
"That is right Baraka...and we will need your help to do it. To lure Kitana out of Edenia and in to outworld...we need a good crisis in Edenia. You Baraka, can be that crisis. You can have your fill of bloodshed, and lead kitana to where we can take her....it will be as simple as that..." Shang Tsung said.
Baraka laughed. "i like the sounds of that Sorceror. You have gained the strength of the tarkatan's. THose Edenians will die before us like lambs to the slaughter. We will be swift, and without mercy..." Baraka said, and then stopped. There was all of a sudden a noise. A footstep, when noone was walking. Shang had heard it, and baraka had heard it. It could have been from a Tarkatan outside, but baraka's eyes shown with fury. His nostrills flared, indicating that he was smelling.
All of a sudden, baraka klet out a roar, and jumped forward, blades extened. He pinned an invisible figure to the wall, and the invisibility dispersed, revealing what looked to be a green ninja. The ninja hissed as he hit the wall, and baraka brought one of his blades up to the creatures throat...holding him there with it."
"A spy...." he said...with a sudden malicious smile. "I'll stain the floor with his blood!"

Mileena unwilling put her arm down, and put her
sai away. She knew Shang had a point and sighed bitterly "I know" she muttered and crossed her arms.
After that, she didn't listen in much to their conversation but quickly turned her attention back when she saw Baraka pin something against the wall
Her eyes widen when she saw who it was, once he became visable. Walking over she chuckled and shook her head "Well well, if it isn't Reptile. I wonder who sent you" she said already knowing the answer.

Baraka smiled a wicked smile, blood lust running through his veins. "Reptile huh? Nice to meet you...my name's Baraka..." He said and threw reptile to the ground, jumping on top of him and bringing one of his blades to the back of his neck. Reptile hissed once more, but Shang shook his head.
"I could have anticipated a move like that, but do not kill him..." Shang Tsung said. Baraka looked taken aback, maybe even a little disappointed.
"Why?!?! we just caught ourselves a spy...and you wish to turn him loose? We could gut him right here..." Baraka said.
"Normally, i'd say go ahead. But Reptile works directly with Shao Khan, who will be expecting him back eventually. He'll just send other spies if Reptile does not return...and we need to keep the emporer happy." Shang Tsung curtly replied, and looked down at Reptile.
"You've heard my plan....you COULD report back to Shao Khan, and tell him that were not planning anything that could hurt him right?" Shang Tsung said. Reptile shook his head.
"The master asked me to watch, and I must keep watching, until the plan has been done..." Reptile replied, hissing slightly as Baraka pressed the blade a bit harder against his skin, enraged that he could not kill him. But, baraka let out a sigh, and got off of the creature, who stood up and looked directly at Shang Tsung. Shang considerred everything for a moment, and then nodded.
"Very well then. I can't let you walk around invisibly...but you can stay by my side at all times, hearing everything that goes on. I'll show Shao Khan that he CAN trust me." he said, and knew the two others in the room might not agree with this. But there really were very few other options. Reptile nodded, and walked towards the far corner, leaning against it, obviously trying not to attract anymore attention to himself, and to just be part of the scenery.
"You turn invisible again, and I'll know....I can smell you..." Baraka said to him threateningly.

Nightwolf knew that he was being followed but he could not see only hear the one that was following him. He decided to pretend that he hadn't heard them but he would be ready if they attacked, he was not one to be caught of guard and he wouldn't start now. A gentle breeze flicked his hair as he walked and the birds sung in the trees. however Nightwolf was not distracted by such trivial things. His mind and senses were honed and concentrated on what was immediately before him and his unseen stalker.

Smoke stood still in his frozen tomb. Sub-Zero had done this to him. His friend Sub-Zero. But Smoke couldn't really blame him at all. In fact Smoke was almost glad this had happened to him. It was better for everyone else that he was contained in an icy prison instead of going on violent rampages to kill his own allies. But under the new programming of the Lin Kuei, there wasn't much else he could do. He was completely under their control. Smoke had been frozen for long enough to know that something was going wrong with his programming. The suit had stopped trying to break free from the ice.

Sub-zero sat ere against he tree thinking over what he dd repeatingly. He had no choice smoke had lost it and he couldn't let him free to kill everyone, he exspecialy didn't feel like dieing over something so small. "I wonder bif he anaged to get out yet?" He sighed heavily and dragged himself up to a wobbley stance while he regained balance. "Just hope he doesn't hold gudges...." He kicked the floor cuasing a chunk of rass to be up rooted and then started off back down the path to report what had happened.

Khameleon had been found, and she knew it. She could hear the man breath change slightly only seconds ago. That tiny little change sparked a tension in his muscles, just a tiny little flex, but she could almost feel it that's how loud it seemed to her. She grinned, she had become rusty, her anger had made her blind. She would have to refine herself before she set eyes upon Shao Khan.
She jumped up onto a branch ten feet above the head of the man. A tiny leaf she'd plucked earlier, fell from her open hand and fluttered downward. She would not be there when he turned around. She would be in front of him waiting for him to turn back, sword at his neck and a grinning face that would slowly seep into being.

Nightwolf anticipated the movements of his unseen stalker but was taken by surprise when she appeared before him with her sword at his throat. He was unafraid however and brought his arm up in a lightning fast movement and struck her sword arm causing her to drop the blade "Now that isn't very civil now is it," he said gruffly "holding a blade to someones throat," he said and stepped back slightly allowing her to pick up her blade. He watched her with interest, not taking his eyes off her for a moment "Why are you stalking me?"
Aszcin Blue Star - December 21, 2007 02:46 AM (GMT)
She snarled and picked up her blade, cursing her inability to block his attack. "I could say the same for one of Shao Khan's," she spat at him. "Surley you have killed many a mother and babe in his name." Her eyes were pure white were filled with malice and contempt.
Her blade flashed dangerously in the small shafts of forest light. The tip glinted like a ice when she manuevered it around his figure, testing his weak points. "Such genocide as my people for instance." She waited, one false word from him would mean the blade slashed across his middle then his head.

Another group of demonic creatures were blown into the dank hot air of hell itself. Scropion sprinted fowards, having destroyed many demons along the way, each death of a demon resulted in their forms exdploding in black dust which would kill mere mortals upon inhaling the black stuff. He sprinted up the steep black stone stairs, towards a closing portal as were smacked off the stairs, into the bright firey abyss below, rocky caverns resounded with screeches of war and death, and the occasional agonised wail of Scorpion's foes that did not die in one or two brutal katana slashes.
He silently ran, simply knocked back some demonic infrantry with small-bladed scythes, knocking some down, some off the stairs and some back down the stairs, colliding with a swarm of advancing infantry.
Several times had magically imbued demons fired black-fire at him, but none hit, for his movements were swift, un-naturally so and leap the last metre as the portal was about to fully close, a mere touch only required to leave...
He did. He escaped...Scorpion had escaped hell itself, piocking a time when demonic scouts had returned, and exploited their suprise as he had moved swift, hid when necesary for several...monthes.
==============================================================
The portal was rather off-target....to say the least.
Probably one of the fail-safes of his...departure. The portal, this time, led to a darkened room, with a Tarkatan busy giggling stupidly or sadistically as he tortured an infant. The rack of which the broken body rested - limply - on was also slick with crimson liquids. The portal opened up at the sime time the Tarkatan looked around, only about to hollow out a war-cry when his head was quickly sliced off, the head and body burned in a matter of seconds, before a pile of ashes fell to the floor.
==============================================================
Scropion crouched, the sword burned the last specks of blood off as he looked about in the dimly lit room, pure white hellish eyes took the scene in, a torture room with two doors, noises from outside depicted a horde of monsters in victory or in anger in his mind's eye. A few bodies in the corner of the room...female, male, children.
And a still form of the infant on the slickened stretching rack nearby. He sheathed his katanas, and slowly stood up, only to slowly step towards the infant's form. He gently laid a single finger upon the mere child's neck, no pulse. Looking about, he torched the body with the finger, skin contact near-instantly burned the body, without destroyign teh rack...that would be used for the Tarkatans.

Crack...crack.....crack...
The ice was finally melting..
Smoke was relieved. But not because he was free. Because he knew this was going to be a short end to his meaningless violence. Now that the chip had malfunctioned Smoke was free to do as he pleased.. As long as the Lin Kuei hadn't found out already. Now Smoke knew what he needed to do.
He needed to find Sub-Zero.
Smoke continued on the trail he had been on before he was frozen. He wasn't worried about finding Sub-Zero one bit. For he had a plan.
For the new generation of Lin Kuei, they had all had chips inserted inside them, so they could all keep in touch. Of course only the androids could actually track them down.
And Sub-Zero was getting close..

Nightwolf regarded the creature before him "You believe I work for Shao Khan?" he laughed "you are very much mistaken, I am hunting him to kill him for the atrocites that he has committed." He did not let his guard down, he could not afford to until he knew whether this creature was friend or foe. He stayed where he was and without a trace of fear in his eyes watched the figure before him "Now if you would kindly take this blade from my neck I could resume my hunt for Shao Khan."
