Title: From Across The Void

Isandro - November 26, 2007 03:30 AM (GMT)
IC:

From across the void between galaxies they come, a methodical, conquering storm which lays waste to and conquers any and all before them. They call themselves Adwaressi, and in the time since they arrived, few native to this galaxy have not heard of that name and it is becoming more difficult to find anybody not affected by them.

If the Adwaressi weren’t bad enough by themselves, from equally unknown stars comes a huge juggernaut known as the Federated Terrenesi Empire. Constantly expanding without making any sign of halting, the forces of the Federated Empire press unstoppably forward in what they claim is a drive to protect themselves, at any costs.

Both races are undeniably powerful, and have yet to be halted by any people who attempt it, most of those winding up crushed. It is plain the two peoples have met and they clearly hate one another, though why is a mystery. What is known is that this conflict is quite old having begun at least a century ago by Standard Time Reckoning. It is also known that an impressive portion of the known universe has been affected by it, maybe a dozen galaxies in total, but nobody is sure, and the Adwaressi and Terrenesi aren’t talking.

OOC:

Right, then. This is for people who signed up for this in RP Planning. You know who you are. Let's have fun here.

Locron - November 26, 2007 06:34 AM (GMT)
In the middle of the great space lied a tiny pice of metal theat floated about all by it's self. Nothing was unfimiliar about the piece of metal, it looked like a piece of space junk, apart from the occasional beeping noise everything was normal. Untill a crackling of a radio with scream mixed amongst, all that could be herd from the federation ship was a single panicking voice "It's the korian.....the deamons are here....." As soon as this message had finished being sent across the galaxies the screams died out into a static and what appeared to be the ripping of flesh.

All the time when people thought that the korian were dead they had just been living in the shadows of the deepest part of the universe. But what had made them come out now remains a mystery to all. There was a loud crackling noise as a rift opened next to the probe and 6 giant fully working fleets came out.

"O.k men our mission is to search this sector and find out what the sorce of all the commosion is..... peace never lasts thats why deamons take over" And with this single message five of the sixs fleet all disapeared again heading to different parts of the sector....

Starhawk - November 27, 2007 06:43 AM (GMT)
In the extreme eastern fringe of this new galaxy, designated MG557 a rift in space; invisible to the naked eye was rapidly forming at the edge of an unimportant system.

As the rift expanded and grew within the blink of an eye a flotilla of massive warships suddenly appeared, three vast Dreadnoughts and their escorts, as well as two Atmospheric attack groups simply appeared in the blankness of space.

Silently dozens of scout fighters launched and began exploring the system for the target world that was to be the foundation for the Terrenesi forward base.

As the battlefleet began this dull task of exploring and creating a base, two battlecruisers separated from the fleet and began to charge their slipstream drives to explore the next system in the line.

Locron - November 27, 2007 04:21 PM (GMT)
Locron sat there in his chair looking out at the vastness of space. He occasionally glaced over to the vector map to check if the probes were in place. It was boring having to wait for the probes to be placed before they could set up camp and wait for some sort of ship of battle to appear so they could gather the infomation and anaysise it to see f it was a threat. Locron Yawned Loudly before glacing over again, this time something caught his eye in sector 2 next to one of gideon's probes.
Getting up locron headed obver to the holographic display and waved his claw like hand over it. The sector that gideon was in enlarged to reveal several large objects with loads of little dots. "Why hasn't he got the probes in place yet..." Locron went over to the transmitter and flicked a button "Gideon Send a small squad of light fighters to these co-ordinates and relay the infomation from the visual cam to me"
Gideon Jumped at the sound of his comanding officers voice but did exactly what he said. After a couple of second about 6 small A.I. Fighters with camras on instead of weapons wereb luached. Gideon Slowly walked over to the screen next to his holographic display and watched as a huge warship type thing appeared out of no-where. "What is that?" Gideon Made the fighters fly amongst the millions of scouts and take photos and holographic images of the ships and fighters....

Starhawk - November 27, 2007 05:17 PM (GMT)
The Terrenesi pre-fab base took only a few hours to build, and the massive structure was quickly garrisoned with two legions of stormers, five thousand techs, an entire strike fighter wing and enough spare parts to practically build a new Dreadnought out of scratch.

The advance force had only been in this new galaxy for twelve hours and was well within shcedule, and so far Star Marshall Jeanete W'slage
was satisfied with things. Well that was not entirely correct the Star Marshall was far from pleased with the fact that SHE had been sent to some galaxy at the tail end of the known universe on an exploratory mission.

The Star Marshall was two hundred years old, but to any outside observer she would have looked like a beautiful twenty two year old human woman, the only evidence of her alienness being her wolfish red eyes and her bone blades. She had been chosen to lead the 1024th expiditionary force to a new galaxy that had so far been uncharted by Imperial scientists. Her force was to assess any threats and look for any enemies or allies it could find and in doing so they would pave the way for an entire battlefleet to be dispatched.

Star Marshall W'slage watched the 3d sphere of the master plot in the middle of her command deck with keen eyes, the holographic image showed the entire system so far as well as the positions of her scout fighters and the light codes of her main Fleet. Her eyes focused on her fighter squadrons as they deployed beacons around any planet or object of importance in this so far empty wasteland of a star system.

Suddenly the master plot came flashed from green to blue and a half dozen tracking indicators flashed to life, their orange indicators showing them to be unknown to the Empire and presumed hostile.

"Marshall long range sensors detect numerous fighter sized craft appearing in system, they are moving fast and coming torwards us. What are your orders Ma'am?" The voice from the young warrior was calm, cool and professional, the Marshall allowed herself a brief moment of approval for the young warrior as she walked closer to the master plot.

"Order Wind Sword squadrons one three and one five to intercept those craft, attempt communications if possible otherwise destroy them." W'slage barely noted the silent nods of her command crew as they relayed the necessary orders to the fighter squadron leaders.

Within seconds twenty high-speed fighters raced from the center of the Terrenesi fleet to intercept the small craft that had been detected by their motherships.

"Marshall, our fighters have attempted communications, and have sent back the first sensor details." Ship Commander Hal'mir's eyes suddenly narrowed and his breath hissed momentarily. "Marshall they are machines, Artificial Inteligences".

For a barely noticeable second the entire Command deck was silent, and all eyes and ears were focused on the Ship Commander and Star Marshall. And then almost as if it hadn't happened all those present on the command deck returned to their tasks without a word.

"Are they swarmers?!" W'slage hissed under her breath as the plot changed the orange codes to crimson. The Terrenesi' past experience with the AI race known as "Swarmers" during the last great war that engulfed six galaxies in bloodshed and death led them to believe the use of "true AI" to be a foolish and hostile action on any races part.

"Unknown Marshall, it's been three centuries they might have changed their designs......" Hal'Mir scowled at the holo-sphere and his grey eyes narrowed into a predatory squint as if demanding the unknown objects reveal their nature.

"Commander, order those objects destroyed and their debris brought in for analysis." the Marshall stretched her back calmly and deliberately plucked a peice of dust from her grey tunic. She was a Marshall, one of the highest ranking officers in the Navy; and though she was young for her rank she would show not one iota less of the confidence and dignity that rank entailed.

Barely a minute passed before the Terrenesi wind-sword fighters lashed out at the unknown vessels and destroyed them all. Half a minute later salvage teams were on their way out to analyze the debris for anything dangerous. It was all very effeciant, very Terrenesi except for the single enemy drone that managed to slip away from the interceptor force.

Locron - November 27, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
Locron Watched from his comand ship as they lost comunication with the fighters. "It appears there not that friendly" He clentchend his fist and looked at gideon "Open a verble comunication line and scramble the images. We shell have a little chat with our young friends here before we kill them....." Locronm turned to a holographic image that appeared in the middle of the room. "Gideon prepare ten Locrath and aim for criticle positions on several of the enemy's ships apart from there main one." He then turned back round to the radio bored and coughed loudly as the line with the enemies main ship opened up.

"Myths are terrifieng when they come true.... don't you think...." A Horrific terrifieng voice echoed through the room that Jeanete W'slage was in. "We are the El-korian Advanced scout squadron and you have just shot down our fighters.... but not before we could gather infomation on a large proportion of your ships...." he luaghed evily "you don't belive us, Lets prove it...... fire probes one and two at the capital ship infront of the main one"

Gideon nodded and shot the two Locrath probes at the capital ships. He then looked over to the Hologram projector and seeing locron give the hand sign prepared a large propotion of his fighters including 3 Roderan.....

Starhawk - November 28, 2007 02:54 AM (GMT)
W'slage grimmaced for a moment and turned to the sphere in the center of her command center.

"Sorry, I have heard no myths of your kind, nor am I particularly impressed by this parlor trick...." She waved her hand at the plot and thousands of combat drones launched from her fleet as the CSP fighters raced into their intercept positions.

"Angel.........what do you see." W'slage asked the air in a calm almost absent voice, next to her a figure of what looked like a female Terrenesi warrior in full uniform appeared. The ship's Avatar made a gesture that passed for a Terrensi shrug.

"My brothers and sisters are already moving drones to intercept two incoming objects, other then that we dont see anything yet Marshall." Angel -properly Angel of Wrath- replied in a soft voice as the plot showed a cluster of drones racing towards the incoming objects.

The one probe appeared too close and impacted the shields of the Ship of the Line Starfire flaring in a brilliant flash before disapearing on the powerful shield banks.

The other probe wasn't so fortunate as a combat drone controlled by a ship's avatar opened fire with it's light pulse cannons and tore through it.

The CSP fighters and remaining drones were quickly joined by ALert fighters and sub-capital class warships as the area surrounding the Terrenesi fleet filled with sweeping sensors and weapons of war.

"We are TERRENESI, we are not some weak children, did you really think your pathetic attack would frighten us?" W'slage's voice remained icily calm as she spoke to the air.

"If you are a sentient race and not machines as our first assesment indicated then we can come to an agreement, we are not here to make war on you or any of the natives of this galaxy.....rather we are here to warn you of a great threat." Her tone changed very subtly to one of a "Friendly" tone. "A threat that seeks to destroy or enslave all races that are not their own....if you would hear us out instead of playing games and sending unmanned probes we can discuss this like civilized beings."

The command deck was silent as the Star Marshall waited for a reply.

Locron - November 28, 2007 06:26 AM (GMT)
Locron let the visula images be sent through to reviel a scorpoin like creature. "If you weren't so blid you would see that we do not play palor tricks... and we did not send unarmed probes" Locron did two consecutive hand signals which told gideon to detonate one of the probes. Not want to argue he qiuckly order his men to no it and within seconds there was a very like lighting type sound which cuased a masive explosion with a shock wave to erupt from the middle of the Terrensie fleet.

"Now that thats clear..... we are the adavanced scouting party of the former democrocey of reays which stretched thoughout a large proportion of this universe." He did a second signal and gideon followed insturctions again and started a large proportion of AI fighters to luach and head in the dirwection of the enemy fighters.....

Deep within one of the three home stations of the mighty Corim lies a room. The high vaulted ceilings and grand sweeping arches of the room belie the very fact that this room does not exist on a planet. The white surfaces of the room, lit by the source-less glowing of a light, are meticulously clean and polished. The inlaid floors of ancient wood stretch to accentuate the raised dais in the very center of the room. Upon this dais rests a large horseshoe shaped table, intricately carved and inlaid with wood from hundreds of different worlds. Surrounding the table are seven equally elegant and priceless chairs. It is from these very seats that the fates of peoples and nations alike have been decided. It is in this very room that the intricate runnings of the Corim are planned...

Silently doors from around the room slid open, revealing behind them men of antiquated appearance. They approached the table, carefully taking their respective seats as aides rushed about, preparing for the ensuing meeting. These men make up the mighty Council of Corim, the deciding force behind one of the strongest space faring nations to exist. The lights in the room dimmed and an enormous holo-sphere appeared, showing a large sector of space with various sections highlighted in different colours.

(note: All sector and system names are what the Corim have named them. Other races may have different or similar names.)

"As you can see, gentlemen, the Terrenesi and Adwaressi empires have both converged in the Lothlian sector. As you can see, the ancient Korian race has once again started something. They have encountered the Terrenesi in the Shoul-Kadesh system (Terrenesi designated system MG557). This meeting has been called on account of the increased action of these three star nations and the actions that the Corim should take." Elder Kithra-Li finished his speech and sat back in his chair. These meeting usually weren't easy as the Council was usually divided over activating the fleet. Elder K'Tarin spoke up.

"It seem that one of our observer posts have picked up video recordings of a skirmish between the Terrenesi and the Korian." As he spoke, the video clip played over the holo-sphere. Elder Hra-Kithall, the most senior Elder of the Council watched gravely as the scene played itself out.

"These wars have stretched on for far too long and can only lead to the annihilation of these peoples. I recommend that we activate the fleets and bring an end to this war."

The debate that ensued over the next several hours was heated, but eventually came down to a final conclusion. Outside the home stations, one could see the mass of the fleets gathering as ships were disgorged from the massive storage facilities of the home stations. Many of the Corim watched as the three Sha’ik-tal (super dreadnaught fleet) formed up and entered orbit patterns around the bases. The five Gruat (dreadnaught fleets) also formed and moved out to geosynchronous positions between the home stations and the defense shield.

As the fleets moved into position to await orders, a single battlecruiser detachment departed for the Shoul-Kadesh (MG557) system...

Note: Battlecruiser detachment

OOC: SOrry for the late reply work got in the way

IC:

W'slage frowned as the explosions lit accross the shields of a few of her capital ships doing no real damage.

"Angel....don't let that happen again, keep in touch with your brothers and sisters please." Her voice remained as cold and calm as normal, W'slage was a verteran of a fifty wars and hundreds of battles against far more terrifying things then this.

Again she raised her voice in reply to this Korian. "So you think because you throw a few tricks at us we are to be impressed....or cowed to you?"

"We are Neither impressed or afraid of you, so if you seek conflict you will pay the price." W'slage slashed her hand in a brutal cutting motion and her bone blades quivered as her arms came down.

At that very instant Angel of Wrath (Angel to her crew) and all her brothers and sisters in the advance fleet activated their phased armor and proceeded to effectively jam the communications from the aliens.

The CSP and alert fighters were quickly joined by thousands of drones and the sub-capital wings.

The capital ships formed a wall of battle with overarching defenses and screens and waited.

Terrenesi Stormers and and commandos proceeded to ready stations in breaching pods or in defensive positions aboard their own warships.

The planetary base activated an immense theatre sheild and its own pre-fabricated weapons came on line.

Locron - December 1, 2007 10:11 PM (GMT)
"You Do not know who you are talking too....." Locron Said Harshly. He stopped comunications with the enemy ship and walked over to the hologram map. "Frecius.... mecro..... proceed to gideons postionas and realse your ruicha probes to inturpt all there electronicle devices. Then they will see that The korian are back and merciless" The two Hologram figures disapeared after a quick nod and within seconds they were in different locations on the map.

Locron Luaghed too himself quiely as he walked out of the door for the bridge "Eresso your in comand till i get beck" Locron swiftly headed out and into the huge hanger. There were towers upon towers of machinery working on ships and rows upon rows of fighters. He indicated to several veterain fighters to come with him as he entered his Roderan Fighter and got inm it. He was shortly followed by 9 other pilots who did the same.

"O.k men we are going to attack an anonimus foe..... we will win and we will all come back alive for we are the Silver blades" there was a loud cheer over the radio as Locron and his fighter took off out of the hanger and entered hyper space.

*meanwhile*

The battle field was ready prepare all enemy electronicle componants had interference so even if they did have the numbers they were at a dis advantage. Gideon Walked up to the Hologram image of the battle field know that he had two extra fleets ready and hidden just incase he needed help. "O.k I want the light A.I Fighters to concentrate and swarm the enemy in mass number keeping the fire away from the bombers. This should work because the bombers will be bing escourted by the medium AI fighters and a few Light manned fighters." He took a deep Breath and continued "I want all stealth fighters to swing around and stay out of the battle and approuch the enemy from the rear. the stealth bombers will remain hidden as the fighters use gurilla warefare to take out any fighters that stayed behind to gaurd the capital ships. By this time the advanced bomber squadrons should reach the the fleet and open fire on the destroyers and heavily armoured capital ships. The Stealth bombers will proceed with esciourts to take out any comunication or Drione controlling tagets." Gideon looked around the room before going back to the hologram bourd "Medium and heavy AI fighters will protect the capital ships from a distance without going into the main battle and the rest of the fighters will stay back and defend at close range."

Kerensky - December 3, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
Captain Ikkar cursed silently under his breath as his fleet exited the slipstream into the Shoul-Kadesh (MG557) system. They had come out too close to the ensuing battle and had been detected by the Korian forces.

"All ships maintain full cloak, bot physical and electronic. Launch the sensor drones to scramble any incoming sensors."

As he spoke, hundreds of silver, meter long tubes were fired from across the fleet. Tiny vents steered the drones into a massive net around the fleet, forming a near impregnable sensor cloak.

"Sir! The Korian are sending in a fighter wing, they appear hostile!"

"Deploy attack drones. Move the Sath-Tora (light frigates) into postion to intercept, but maintain full cloak."

From behind the wall of sensor drones flew five-hundred attack drones, all on an intercept path with the Korian forces. At this time, a broad spectrum announcement was aired over the battlefield.

"This is Captain Ikkar of the Council of Corim. We are not here to engage in combat unless otherwise engaged ourselves. We are here to observe. Note that any action taken against us today will result in the entire might of the Corim being turned against you. Make your chices wisely."

Starhawk - December 6, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
As the Korian fighters were detected on long range sensors the Terrenesi fighters and drones prepared for battle while the Sub-capital and Capital ships kept in a tight sphere with several reserve wings of fighters and drones held tightly in the knot.

"Marshall, forward fighter squadrons report that they have experienced heavy electronic jamming that is reducing sensor performance." A com tech's voice came calmly over the vast command deck of the Angel of Wrath.

"Alright so they're cowards too.....pull the forward fighters back to within range of the capital ships so we can provide better sensor support.....keep the drone formations out however." W'slage watched the master plot with minor annoyance as the enemy tried to jam electronics through the shields of the warships.

Drones were totally unaffected as they did not use any form of on board "sensor" but were rather guided by the living warships they spawned from.

As the enemy advance fighters came into range, 5,000 combat drones swarmed over them, guns blazing with deadly fury, as the formations inter-pentrated several drones collided with enemy fighters creating massive spheres of expanding wreckage and fire as the two craft died together.

The forward fighters pulled back to within the defensive sphere of the Terrenesi battle fleet while point defenses from numerous warships linked together so that any fighters to make it through the defensive screen of drones would be met by a wall of plasma.

As the message from the Corim came over all frequencies W'slage grinned to herself.........it had been a long time since the COrim and Terrenesi met and the two sides had dealt quite a bit of blood to one another before uniting long enough to destroy the swarmers.

"Well.........we won't attack you as we are quite busy right now.....so if you wait for us to deal with these scum we can resume a proper contact with one another." Her grin remained as she nodded to Angel and asked for the Ambassador to be brought up to COmmand.

Locron - December 6, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
Gideon Smiled as he watched the action of the battle on his hologram generator. "Percisly as a thought they would react" Smiling he looked at a small squad of manned fighters appear in middle of his fleet and the battle "Well it appears our comander knew what they would don too.... Pull all drones and fighters out to make it look like there retreating but form back up outside of the capital ships firing range." A evil smile appeared across his face "Locron UI'm sending a request for some Inter galatic Deso Missiles" Locron Luaghed loudly in approvel and within a miniut there was a large beeping noise as a huge mass of unidentified objects appeared and started heading towards the enemy fleet with lightning speed "when these missiles make contact i want all drones from all 3 fleets to destroy the remaining fighters and then the bombers that are behind the fleet to take out all comunications apart from the main flag ship but destroy or put sever damage on all ships. DO NOT DESTROY THE FLAG SHIP!!."

After gideon finished his first instruction there was a loud explosion as the first missile connacted with a capital ship causing it to be blown to pieces....

Starhawk - December 6, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
OOC: Okay matey this is what we call God modding, which is BAD BAD in a board war.

In other words you can not:

A: CALL disable on ALL enemy ships or any of their tech
B: Call DAMAGE on ANY valuable enemy units
C: Can't randomly pull instant counters to your enemy. Such as your "SWARM OF DESO-MISSILES" which you didn't put in your bio OR state as interceptable.

THis isn't to be rude, you're new to BWs so I just ifgured I'd let yah know. Also considering the firepower and the SIZE of my fleet your missiles would meat a LOT of fire before they got anywhere NEAR detonation range of a capital ship.

Anyway:

IC: As enemy missiles came out of hyper space near the Terrenesi fleet thousands of point defense turrets came to life throughout the fleet as Capital ships and sub-capital ships alike, fighters flying CSP and drones circling the fleet raced out to meet the suicidal swarm of enemy missiles.

A small group of the enemy missiles made it through the defense screen and impacted a fleet Destroyer tearing it apart in silent glorious flame as it died.

The blackness of space lit up again as plasma shockwaves and pulse cannons tore enemy missiles out of the void.

"Alright I've had enough of this...." Marshall W'slage stood deathly still on her command deck, watching the death throws of two sub-capital calss Pane'Tal destroyers.

"Prepare for slipstream jump, navigation fix co-ordinates for enemy position and ready all ships, pull the fighters back into slipstream range but keep the drones deployed to screen us from their missiles."
Her eyes glinted with a predatory light as she fixed upon her prey with an almost delighted expectation.

"Marshall, Fleet Admiral Ra'dell reports they are prepared to fold space and join us, your oders?" Fleet Admiral Mi'stet said coldly as he spoke from his own command deck aboard the Dreadnought "Defiant".

"Plot their fold jump......have them join us when we exit slipstream....and alert all commands. Prepare to engage the enemy".

Kerensky - December 6, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
OOC:

Locron, is English your first language? If not, then your grammer errors are understandable. However, a simple run through a word proccesor should correct most of these. As it stands now, your posts are hard to understand because of improper grammer use and lack of proper spacing. If you would be so kind as to amend this problem in future post, it would be great. :)

IC:

Captain Ikkar watch as the Terrenessi fleet organized itself and prepared to jump.

"Pull attack drones back to defensive postions outside of the sensor drones field. Stand by to repel any further attacks."

Locron - December 6, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
OOC: Sorry I have to get use to this type of RP and I’ll start using a word processor and the missiles will be added ASAP don’t forget I only did basic scout ships so that’s why there not mentioned and thirdly the probes disrupt electronics not disable them.

IC: Gideon smirked as the missile attack in his opinion was a success. As he zoomed in on the enemy’s fleet to survey the damage he noticed that the enemy fighters were retreating into the ships. “Well it appears that these guys are worthy opponents ... any other commander and his fleet would have been beaten to a pulp but somehow he still comes back to attack. I say I take my hat off to that boy” Smiling Gideon turned round to the holographic images of the two other captains and nodded for them to join up with his fleet. The captains did precisely as they were asked and joined up with the fleet almost at the same time as the fighters did.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Locron and his large squad of fighters opened up communications with the enemy fleet and began to speak again. “Well you have earned my approval young foe but that was only your commanding skills.... for the second test I would like you to bring the best of your pilots against our prototype fighters, to see who is superior.” Switching of to the other channel Locron Told the other 3 fleets to bring the veteran pilot and in about anougther Minuit there was a small squad of about 50 veteran pilots in the best fighters the Korian had.

Kerensky - December 6, 2007 07:16 PM (GMT)
Captain Ikar winced at being called "young". At 167 standard years old, he was only about halfway through his life-span.

"Comms officer, open up a comm channel with the fighter wing."

Captain Ikkar glared at the holo-sphere as he watched a contigency of fifty or so fighters gather outside of the sensor interdiction zone. He snuffed at the barbaric and archaic notion of dueling to the death. He preffered more decisive victories than that. He turned back to the comm screen...

"This is Captain Ikkar. I formally refuse to 'prove' to you my mettle in combat or that I am worthy of commanding my fleet in such an archaic form of combat as dueling. If it is a battle that you wish, then be prepared for the worse, for the Corim do not lose."

Kerensky - December 9, 2007 12:47 PM (GMT)
Aboard the battlecruiser Kith-La-Sera, Captain Ikkar and his crew were embroiled deep in a game of space tetris on the holo-sphere while waiting for some response from the Korian. Not that it really mattered, but Captin Ikkar was tired of getting to the last levels only to be beaten by the guys down in engineering...
