THE STORY:
The Dragons were something of a surviving dinosaur species, hiding when the other ancient species were wiped out by the apparent meteorite. They hibernated for what i seemed an eternity under ground.
When the dust settled, these surviving creatures emerged, whatever was left, in effect, belonged to the surviving species after many years. After a long period of un-recorded time, the few numbers of sentient Lizards evolved, coping with different environments and changing into what they are today...
When humans evolved to what they would be today, several thousends of years later, the Dragons, as such, were mythical beasts, rarely seen because the Dragons hid from the early human race. But after time, the two species began to show signs of both peace and war.
Different nations of humans viewed Dragons as either gods in the medevil age, monsters, sentient creatures or foes. As of today, most dragons are seen as a higher race. Some work with human and non-humans, for mutual bettering. Some hide, some hunt, some create legends and take sacrifices in the form of maidens, whatever happens after that depends on the Dragon itself.
Nowadays, in the Third Empire of Man's glorious year of 1072, Fall; three primary Dragon species live with, against and away from the Empire of Man and it's surrounding smaller towns; Humanoid Dragonians are typically a cross between a human and a Chinese or four-legged dragon, usually in a more humane form itself, as some pure-blood Dragons learn to shape-shift.
Some, mainly the more-common Southern Dragons, have developed a mutual bond with the empire, a game of 'snatch', where princes or princesses are 'snatched' in royal displays or before a wedding, organised without the said 'snatched' knowing of this, and the bride or groom's other will travel to 'save' the 'snatched'. It's all good fun for this game of 'snatch', something of a tradition that has also acted as a way to keep the Southern Dragon's relations with the Empire well-groomed.
The more snake like Dragons, creatures of Chinese legends and Northern in blood, are more extreme in alignment, often more working with humanoids and against them than other independent Dragons, they are often more reserved on their purpose, however.
But as of lately, there's been some friction brewing, as rogue dragons began killing off off-road towns, tribes began to take on Empire warriors under the guidance of an older black dragon. His name, forever cursed, was Mar'Krell, he was hateful of the Empire for hunting his dwindling Shadow-Dragon clan down, and wanted revenge...he took his revenge via attacks created by manipulating diplomacy between the farthest settled areas, the Orc clans and other smaller weaker towns. Mar'Krell also had monsters in the mountains and in the swamps aid his war-efforts.
This cost the Empire and it's surrounding allies greatly, for Mar'Krell had planned several horrible calamities of disease and earthquakes at his will, whether it be his final act of defiance, or by scaring populations into giving him what he wanted or not, was never known. What he wanted made little real sense to many people, because what he wanted were apparently insignificant pieces of an apparent artefact...what it was or did will never be known...for his destiny was cut-short, even though his body was never re-covered.
His apprent demise occured roughly 39 years to the same winter.
Now, there is relative peace, towns are being re-built, relations are fragile between the Empire of Man and the further-most towns, but stable. Mar'Krell's legacy has seemed to become, apparently, non-existent. But nothing is as simple as it seems, will another evil arise? A greater threat to the recuperating Empire of man?
THE PLOT:
This is a open-ended roleplay set on a large single gigantic land-mass island. In the Heartlands of the Third Empire of Man's year 1072, winter/dark fall season. This is the third time the Empire had suffered or changed so greatly that it was considered a new empire, splintering off the other lands and declaring it's independence. The Heartlands are surrounded by mountains, forest and polar icecaps at the north and east, swamps at the west, and heavy forest with a few mountains at the south.
The Empire's Capital, Neverwind, is a massive city, it is essentially a great silver castle with several high solid stone 'rings' around it with hundreds of buildings inbetween each 'ring', like a gigantic un-even wheel. Each tier or district houses hundreds of buildings, from the more dense commercial services to well-constructed homes and is well protected as the entire capital was built on a low plateau with a wide river around the base of the rocky plateau, several drawbridges connect this great masterpiece of combined engineering to the rest of the world, as has, no matter what has been thrown at the great capital, fallen, not even a single foe reached the first of the five tiers.
It is a well-kept and extremely efficient city, there is little actual mess, corruption and very few illnesses for such a populated city. But, alas my friends, the population, while less-affected than the outer 'satellite' towns, had taken a beating from Mar'Krell's elite Shadow-Dragon warriors. And Emperor Regarid Antausis himself is not in good health, for his years are ending and his sire, of the late twenty years, has no given love.
Around the gigantic capital are many towns, mainly human in population, includes creatures from many other species, Elves, Orcs, Goblins and practically every other creature you could think of, realistically speaking. The current season is winter, the cold biting at the more northern parts of the Heartlands.
We will be focusing on Dragon-wise characters, but you CAN use non-dragon characters.

Name: Kal'Sren.
Race: Northern or possible Southern, he has the appearance of both here.
Sub-species: Unknown.
Age: He was, believe it or not, one of the dragons that evolved and had been young then, so many years.
Gender: Male. That much is obvious.
Appearance:
Weapons/Abilities: Claws, teeth, tail and wings. Being one of the actual origional Grand Giga Dragons, Kal'Sren has honed his magical abilities, and very few other dragons come close to beating his powers, he has many spells, enchantments, charms and the years to back his great array of spells and enchantments. He also has several forms in which to utilise his powers, giving in-accurate legends of his appearance.
Weaknesses: He is slightly insane by the many years spent alone. While he has no elemental weakness, he is quite slow, ponderious, so while it is near-impossible to kill him, hitting him is no big challenge. His scales can be worn down and damaged by a combination of powerful spells.
History: The charmingly polite silver dragon, his life spanning the years apparently long before the Empire of Man even began, what, with the barbarian clans where the outer towns used to be, the capital at the time was merely a large collection of thatched buildings.
He has little actual recorded history, at least from even the most long-lived sage, be it human OR Dragon, save for the few great occourances where his appearance had changed the tide of wars, helped with great calmities, and had organised and subtley directed the Heros that had defeated Mar'Krell, a Black Dragon that, by the way Mar'Krell had been careful of, was far below Kal'Sren's own power.
He has been rather reclusive, save for a 'game' he invented years before today, the game was 'Snatch', the tradditioanl game where Noble's sons or daughters, when expected to be wed, were 'Snatched' from their cerimony and taken to a not-too far mountain cave, where the prospecting Brides or Grooms gathered to do 'battle' with the 'Snatcher', it was non-lethel in theory, with the Knight or Knightess walking home in shame should the person be defeated, or if a victor in 'defeating' the 'Santcher', a happy one going back to the Noble family in Honour, and not a few coins to boot. He helped foster alliances, sometimes working in the background, for all involved specie's betterment.
His involvement has also helped shape the very Third Empire of Man itself, though, as i add, knowlege about the Grand Giga Dragon himself, is rather dissappointing, no children nor family are known about, but possible from the few romances he had or sightings of the now extinct Silver-Dragon clans.

Race: Humanoid dragon
Sub-species: he's not a half breed, both his parents were dragons.
Age: 90
Gender: male
Appearance: He is a black dragon, but with little speckles of green scales around him.
Weapons/Abilities: The Boss has six arms, each of which can hold a great sword. this is a rarity among dragons, but is not unseen or un heard of. He can breathe fire, and is very strong, at least in comparison to a human. He is not at all muscle bound, choosing to use strategy over combat, but is a capable fighter. In comparison to many dragons, he could be considerred weak. His real strength comes from his speed. There is literally no dragon faster then Victor. He can impale people with a spike on the end of his tail.
Weaknesses: Victor is terrified of cats. he is smart, but not incredibly strong. He is willing to sacrifice himself for other dragons. He is, to a point, jealous of thundersheen, despite their friendship. He is ambitious, and can be easily swayed if there is a promise given.
History: Before the Boss was the Boss, his name was Victor. he is not yet starting the war between vampires and werewolves, and he has not yet become a father. he is innocent, his brother nowhere to be found, and aspires to maybe one day become a great member of the dragon's heirarchy. he could only dream of one day becoming a leader, but that is not his place. Then again...who's place is it? He is best friend with Thundersheen, and cares little about other races. he believes in the dragon cause, whatever that cause is.

Race: Wolf-dragon (Half werewolf, half dragon)
Sub-species: Mother: Werewolf Whiteflower
Father: Dragon Thundersheen
Age: 5
Gender: F
Appearance:
Weapons/Abilities: Being so young, the pup is still learning how to fight and defend herself. Her father is her teacher in attack, and her mother is her mentor in defense. So far, all she can do is breath a ball of fire.
Weaknesses: She doesn't know her weaknesses yet.
History: Being born to a dragon clan, Earthsong acts more dragon than werewolf. Despite this, it doesn't change the fact that some dragon cubs still pick on her. Those who are her friends are dragon cubs who are also picked on or outcasts for various reasons. Some of the dragon adults of the clan look down at her because of the werewolf blood that runs through her veins, but she doesn't let any of this discourage her.
Because of her persistance in trying, the other clan members like her and accept her and Whiteflower as their own kind, even if they both are half-blooded dragons. All in all, she has a decent pup-hood until an event that will scar her for life...

Sub-species: Purebred werewolf, although she now has angel wings

Appearance:
(She has white fur, ice blue right eye, left eye is emerald green and angel wings. Earthsong is the pup in the middle. :D)
Weapons/Abilities: She mostly uses her claws and fangs.
Weaknesses: She has super strength and speed, but a permantent wound in her left foot prevents her from running full speed on her hind feet.
History: Whiteflower was often hunted because of her white fur coat and different colored eyes, being a rare breed of arctic werewolf. She found refuge at Thundersheen's den, but at a price. She had to give up her freedom to him for her safety, but it was only an excuse for Thundersheen to have the werewolf female around, instantly falling in love with her.
She too fell in love with the black giga dragon and they soon mated, producing the very first wolf-dragon, Earthsong. Now, this white werewolf lives with her mate and pup in the dragon clan called the SilentWings (bad name, I know), benefiting the clan with her intellegent and caring personality.
At this point, she is heavily pregnant with Thundersheen's next pup, and is the adoptive mother of Quin.

Appearance:
Humaniod dragon form(A form he shifts into whenever he wants. Mostly when it comes to mating with Whiteflower):
Dragon form: He looks like his humaniod dragon form, but he's a whole lot bigger.
Giga dragon form:
(Like this, but he has massive wings, brighter eyes, a long black mane, and bigger arms)
Weapons/Abilities: He uses his natural abilities.
Weaknesses: Super strength, super speed, and the ability to breath the hottest flames on the face of the planet, but he has a vunerable spot on his back, often covered up by the hardest plate of armour to shield the spot. His fire breath can't be extinguished by water, but it can by ice. His overall weakness is ice breath from the northern giga dragons.
History: This dragon is one of the seven alphas of his clan, being one of the best friends of Victor Vermont. He met Whiteflower when she was on the run from humans, refusing to harm them for her own safety. He instantly fell in love with her after that statement, and struck a false deal with her.
Her freedom for her safety was only an excuse for Thundersheen to get to know her better. Soon, he told her why he struck the bargain, also finding out that she had fallen for him. Though a few of the dragons disagree with his choice of mate, most of his clan mates greatly approve.
At this point, he his the adoptive father of Quin and going to be a father of three soon.

Humaniod dragon form(A form he shifts into whenever he wants. Mostly when it comes to mating with Whiteflower):
Dragon form: He looks like his humaniod dragon form, but he's a whole lot bigger.
Giga dragon form:
(Like this, but he has massive wings, brighter eyes, a long black mane, and bigger arms)
Weapons/Abilities: He uses his natural abilities.
Weaknesses: Super strength, super speed, and the ability to breath the hottest flames on the face of the planet, but he has a vunerable spot on his back, often covered up by the hardest plate of armour to shield the spot. His fire breath can't be extinguished by water, but it can by ice. His overall weakness is ice breath from the northern giga dragons.
History: This dragon is one of the seven alphas of his clan, being one of the best friends of Victor Vermont. He met Whiteflower when she was on the run from humans, refusing to harm them for her own safety. He instantly fell in love with her after that statement, and struck a false deal with her.
Her freedom for her safety was only an excuse for Thundersheen to get to know her better. Soon, he told her why he struck the bargain, also finding out that she had fallen for him. Though a few of the dragons disagree with his choice of mate, most of his clan mates greatly approve.
At this point, he his the adoptive father of Quin and going to be a father of three soon.

Weapons/Abilities: She has a connection to the weather, to be honed to use at will, but as of now, it's controlled by her emotions. She also likes to play with knives. And she has great skill in telekenisis.
Weaknesses: She is innocent, she is 7 and has a low tollerance level, and playing with knives is just plain dangerous.
History: Qing doesn't have much of a past to recall, but she knows where she came from, what she is, and what she's done.
She was born in the Yangzi River north of Heartland. It was there her mother and father taught her to speak and to think and feel, all while she was an egg, looking like nothing more than a river stone. But tragedy struck before she emerged into the world. Someone murdered both her parents, and Qing could do nothing but sit and listen to her parents fight and fail. She never even knew who killed her parents, her only family.

Right-o, all characters are accepted, but those with the super speed, strength or fire abilities, please tone them down alittle and add a second weakness for all their power, i would rather them not turning the Empire into a pile of ashes overnight and having a reason to retreat...

Sorry if mesa snappy, but i'd like them to have some weakness (Either obvious or otherwise, mentally or physically) against the Empire of Man should things ever come to that. Mar'Krell had his weaknesses and lost due to them.

When she was first born she lived alone homeless no one to help her or protect her. one day she wander the streets at the age of 6 looking for food until she ran into a magestic creature many who knew as Fireheart. The dragon took the child under her wing and acted as a mother to her always loving her and protecting her. As of now she still follows by Firehearts side she loves her dragonic mother with her heart.

Weapons/Abilities: besides the obvious claws and teeth, she can breathe fire and has the ability to retain every bit of information she hears, reads or sees.
Weaknesses: She cannot fly as long as she would like, the maximum she has ever stayed in the air was 12 hours. Her blue/silver color makes it hard to hide. She's rather incompitent when it comes to battle, though not due to lack of strengh.
History: Born of Brantalis and Chealia she has been wandering the earth ever since she stepped away from the nest. She's travled through forest and flown past seas and clawed over mountains in search of a place where she can fit in and be at peace. She is still realativley young (in human years I guess you could say about 19-20ish) and is trying to find a reason for her exsistance. She's quiet and collected, though known to be spontaneous. History: When Akasha hatched from her egg, she was in a blanket of snow, by her dead mothers side. She wasn't raised by parents, but raised herself. She's caring, and truthful to those around her since she doesn't want to hurt someone like she was.
She found out from a young boy (who wasn't actually human) who had talked to her mother, that Akasha's father had been a ice dragon, but her mother was a fire dragon. To Akasha that didn't make sense, why would her mother die instead of just letting her father take care of her. But she found out that her father had left her mother, but had told her that if the color of egg was a deep blue, then their baby would be an ice dragon.
It had started to make sense to Akasha, and had evantually set out to find her father. She found out he had flown to Empire of Man, and soon followed him. On her way to the South, she was attacked by many dragons, and has a few scars to prove it. She makes it out of the attack, and finally gets to the South, but doesn't know where she'll go from there, nor what she'll find.
She had been involved in what happened with Mar'Krell, and would never forget about what had happened, but went through the days as if it hadn't, as she continued her search for her father.

Weaknesses: extreme heat because it loosens the cyrstal particles in scale making them like normal scales, lacks concentration durring battles
History: Locron was the son of one medieval white dragon and a chinese Gem dragon because of the major rarity of his parents species he was the first of his race 'the crystal dragons.' Locron Was brought up in the way of the chinese dragon which granted him great wisdom but somehow he lacked the concentration to use it.
After the death of his farther Locron made a pledge to never help anyother race aslong as he lived and if he ever got the chance to kill them anychance he got....
