Here's a resource for making the list: namely, a free office suite which comes with PDF making capabilities. This will probably be very useful for us. If anyone's interested, it can be downloaded for free at OpenOffice.

I might run through it later and mess around to see what it can do.

ah. well. i do, but its a bit obscure (serif pageplus) and it saves stuff as .ppp files, but it claims they are pdf, but cannot be opened with adobe acrobat reader. hmm. I'll have a shot, and send it to one of you guys and see if you can open it.... if that ok?

Sure, but it sounds a bit odd if its PDF and Adobe wont open it... Be on lookout for Trojans there Hack :P

Its totally safe (i think) we bought it off the shelves, so.... i'll play around with it

If it's a .ppp, then we don't want it. Unless you also have a .ppp ---> .pdf convertor.....

i'll look for a good free one online. but assume i won't be using it, it sounds like too much bother!

EDIT: Yeuch. 1st page of google turned nowt up, so i'll try the OpenOffice stuff if my Dad lets me...

You know, unless much has changed since last year, word refuses to read openoffice-documents(no problems the other way though, I think this is Windows' way of saying use our stuff!). Thought you might want to know

Woodpecker - April 19, 2006 11:32 AM (GMT)
Well, since people will mostly be openning it with Adobe Reader, I doubt there will be a problem. A PDF is a PDF...
