Title: Ark
Description: Another random idea...

Ark
In times of dire peril the angelic host can call upon a mighty warship, the Ark. Unlike mortal vessels the Ark transports via air rather than sea. With its hull it can transport an entire angelic host from one place to another with ease, smaller ones can be employed in battle in order to help support the angelic army get into combat position faster.

Flight- The Ark may fly up to 16” a turn.
Hull- May transport one unit of angels or arch angels that number 12 or less models within its hull. They must start the game within the ark and when deployed must be within 2” of the Ark. The Ark may deploy a unit in a remaining moves phase. The unit deployed may move as normal once deployed but may not charge and may not use angelic flight.
Lightning Strike- Using ancient magic’s the Ark is able to bring down lighting on foes. This works exactly like a stone thrower but has a maximum range of 24” and is S3 (doubled to S6 if in the centre of the template). The ark may move and use this ability.

The Idea seems good, but I think you should do the following:
*restict the number of Ark's you can have to 0-1 per archangel unit or make it rare
*give it a normal weapon like a ballista
*allow it to shoot arrows from the sides, 1arrow per angel

It's a good concept, although a litttle 40Kish. However, I think that the transport concept doesn't really work with ranked units. Getting behind an opponant is a much bigger advantage in warhammer due to ranks and bonuses. It'll also be rather unwieldy with ranked units. I could however see it working with skirmishers. Maybe make it a unit upgrade for vengeances? For +8 pts/model a unit of vengeances may take an ark.

I don't like it. It doesn't really seem like something the angels would have. Also we don't need any more advantage in movement than we already have.

My feeling is that we don't need it. Period. It gives us an additional benefit, when we don't need one. I don't think we need more units (although if we drop something, I'd like something for it to replace).
