My friend and I were thinking of starting playing Inquisitor, so I was wondering if any of you guys play it and how fun it is. Any advice?

Yes. Play Bloodbowl instead. Greatest game on the planet. And I've never even played Inquisitor, and I STILL geruntee you BBowl is better. :P

I would have to whole-heartedly agree with WP on that statement. Bloosbowl is the best!!! Also you can get the whole rulebook for bloodbowl free online if you open the file on the gw website.

ive got inquisitor and i'll tell you this now - only play it if you have the time to do it properly. if you do a proper campaign, where everyone is more interested in the storyline and having fun than winning and you have a good gamesmaster, then its brilliant. as soon as you start rushing it or people are more bothered about winning than having fun it doesnt work. as there are no points limits or anything like that inquisitor is not a game for people who play games to win.

Ive played Inquiseter a few times, and i'll tell you now. It is not for the competitive player. If you and your friends love good storylines and fluff etc then go for it otherwise back away and go the path of Necromunda (that is if you want to stay on small scale warfare in the 41st minellium, if your willing to go to fantasy you MUST go for bloodbowl)

Inquister, is really dodgy in that there are actually no official rules to it, the entire rule book is in fact a suggestion of how to play and it can get a bit stressful after a period of time.

If you are a fan of D&D or any other RPG games then it may seem kinda similar to that at first.

But it is definetly not the best game that GW have come up with, I'll tell you that now. (unless ure using genestealers. Genestealers are cool...)

From what i've heard Inquisitor is probably the most 'specialist' of the specialist games range. It's really designed for a group of serious players who want to get more involved with their gaming. As such its not designed for competitive play, its more freeform so people can mould it to suit the needs of their group or campaign. It's a casual game for the serious gamer, if you get what I mean, giving people the freedom to play it how they want.

I wouldnt say its the most Specialist of the games but it is definetly not designed for competitive play, just think of it as you are palying a novel.

Now if a novel was one guy winning all the time, how fun would that be?

You want specialist games, play man 'o' war. Then you'll know what specialist is. (Argh! all thsoe templates!)
