Title: After Woodies
Grand Seraphim - June 26, 2005 09:06 PM (GMT)
I have heard nothing from what GW are going to do after Woodies are out.
Are they taking a break from warhammer for a while or are they re-vamping a new army?
Anyone have any idea?

I have it from a VERY reliable source that they are finally doing Fishmen....

No! Gosh dangit. Not another new army before they revamp some of the cheese in others! Fishmen seem like a wierd army. Too bad they wouldn't use our angels. Oh well.

i think WP just may have been being sarcastic there. DoW may be getting a bit of a going over, though im pretty sure nothing is being done about chaos dwarfs. i would expect a new edition of warhammer to come out sometime in the next 18 months.

Which means that a good new rulebook will be out in like 24 months due to them taking forever to FAQ all of the mistakes that I know they are going to make in the new rulesbook. I also don't expect to see much happen with the chaos dwarves.

I dunno. I heard a lot of rumors about a new edition but GW claim nothing of it.
I have heard from GW staff members that instead of a new edition they want to produce lots of "Battles in a box" to get more people into fantasy.
Eg: Battle of the Iron Crags (Dwarfs/Skaven), The Belly of the Beast (Ogres/DOW) The Dark Forest (Woodies/BOC) WAGGGH! (Orcs/Brets) The realm of the dead (TK/VC)
This is what i was told would be released (in more or less that order) but i have found GW staff to be un reliable (contary to popular belife they no about as much as the rest of us at any 1 time)

They aren't doing an invasion of Ulthuan (Good elves v. Pansy ones)!?!
I've heard 7th edition wil be about 2 years away....

G.S. that sounds like the campaign packs they did a long time ago early in 5th edition. i think its quite a good idea actually.
Ironskintribe - June 27, 2005 09:30 PM (GMT)
I think those boxes would be cool. I don't have to many problems with 6th ed either so 7th is not really needed right now.

I'm also heard they plan to release regiment boxes for all the races, meaning that armies such as the Dark elves are going to have some of their old models redone (finally, plastic dark riders... only if it would happen soon)...
Baranthazul - June 27, 2005 11:49 PM (GMT)
Ya, they're planning on doing that. And yes, PLASTIC DR! YES!
