overmind - June 11, 2007 07:37 PM (GMT)
Okay, a couple of guys in another forum I visit want to know, how do fatasy orcs reprduce?

Yeah, it's a stupid quesion but, it's insited a terrbile flame war.

Do they do the spore thing like 40K orks?

Or something more mundane?

until i hear otherwise (and i hope i never discuss this....) just like any other human/animal reproduces...... i don't see why not. But you never see orc women. Maybe they're asexual....

the question is do you see human woman models? also what about dwarfs, and ogres?

IIRC, Orc women do not exist. Therefore they don't reproduce. I recall reading something about evolution from fungii, but I really can't remember.

Dwarf women do exist. Valaya was a woman, and there's a Classic Dwarf Queen model (Helga?) on the GW Online Store. Traditional reproduction applies here.

Ogres, there are women. One of the Mail-Order Maneaters is a woman (beard optional... seriously). The Bloodbowl Ogre Cheerleader is female too. Let's not think about reproduction for these though.

And you do see human woman models. Rarely, but they do exist (Damsels and Lucrezzia Belladonna being the most obvious examples).

Okay, there is some confusion over this topic, and i dont blame that fact.

1. Or"K"s as in 40k Orks reproduce aesexually through the use of mushrooms.

2. Fantasy Orcs do have females, if you have the 6th edition army book it does come up somewhere in there (either that or WD mentioned it around the time of the publishing of the book). We just dont see them, well because its a sexist game and at the end of the day... does anyone really want to see female orc models? (shudders).

Hope that clears this up

Yeah, the Orc Bloodbowl Cheerleader is male, but with breasts sewn on. It's mentally scarring. Almost as much as the Ogre cheerleader.
