Title: 5th of november
Dark Angel - November 5, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
its the 5th of november and because i just saw V for Vendetta yesterday i'll post this
Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder, treason and plot,
I see of no reason why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, 'twas his intent
To blow up the King and the Parliament.
Three score barrels of powder below,
Poor old England to overthrow:
By God's providence he was catch'd
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, make the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!
Hip hip hoorah!
silly brits

And I've just had to sit listening to the fireworks going off across the street for the last two hours (still going) whilst trying to paint. Hooray.

lol. With due respect Mr Patriach of Maryland i could say the same about 4th July, silly yanks.
Funny thing is that Catholics still celebrate it... it commemrates one of their number being brutally executed for a silly little thing like trying to blow up the king.

Through the many evils of November 5th (including loud noises and bright flashing lights, an epileptic's nightmare), came another, far greater evil. Your's truly has managed to create a Mordheim warband for the Angelic Beings.
Dedication or obsession? You decide!
AoAlgebra
P.S. Since I'm not posting it on the site, I saw no point in making a new topic just to tell you this :P Plus, going off topic only supports this indication of my slipping into insanity.

Well Guy Fawkes was just a terrorist- so we celebrate it and pretend to blow stuff up. Hmmm.
Grand Seraphim - November 8, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
Ya i know, i think its just more of an excuse to blow up fire works rather than actually commemate anything now a days. (Same with xmas, it dosent have the signifigance it used to have amongst the masses)
