This guide is full of commands for IRC. If you don’t know some of these commands you may find your self a little lost or confused in out chat room. If you find any mistakes or something you would like to add please PM me. If you have any questions you can PM me.
How to get into chatmIRC instructions can be found
here , in a wonderful guide by U_R_A_Lamer
SwiftSwitch can be found
here.
Another useful chat can be found
here. You do not need to download anything.
Both mIRC and SS are safe programs. If you feel insecure about downloading them, then don’t. It is not required that you go into the Runite Legion’s chat room but, if you don’t you will find it harder to make friends in the clan.
Our clan’s main channel is #Runite_legion the # is very important and if missing you will not be able to join the channel.
Our clan also has side channels run by ordinary members. Here is a list….
#Trl_PC – Run by Limey (Limster8)- For all your Pest control, Castle wars, and Pking needs.
#Trl_events – Run by the events staff- Used during events.
#TRL_Alliance – Run by LordTopic – For alliances
#elite_wanabees – Run by LordTopic - For those aspiring to be an Elite Gladiator
#9th_faction - Run by Useph1,Destroyer142 - Offical PKing channel
If you would like your side channel added to the list, please PM me.
Basic but, important commandsThings that everyone should know, even non ops.

/ns recover nickname password
If someone has somehow stolen your registered name you can use this command to kick them off of it.
/ns set password newpass
Allows you to change your pass.

BanningBanning someone was a very confusing thing for me at the beginning. Anything I read made no sense to me at all. So I decided banning deserved its own section =)
mIRC users can easily ban and unban. To ban simply left click on there name. Go to the menu labeled control and go to ban kick. Now that unlucky soul that you banned won’t be bothering you much anymore.
When you feel they have suffered enough, Simply left click in the channel window. Click channel modes and select bans. Click on their ban and then click unban.
Remember this is only for mIRC users only. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
For you SwiftShift users out there you have a much tougher time banning and unbaning.
To ban you can do basically the same thing as mIRC users OR you could do it the fun way (well at least I think its fun) type /whois name. You should get some mostly useless stuff.
Your first line should look like this name is ~name@Swift-12AE6BD1.hsd1.nj.comcast.net * Unknown (its mine switched around slightly)
All you need to care about is everything after the @ so in this case it would be
@Swift-12AE6BD1.hsd1.nj.comcast.net
In order to ban this person type,
/mode #channel +b *!*@Swift-12AE6BD1.hsd1.nj.comcast.net
And whala, the person has been banned and they shouldn’t be able to switch there name to get back into your channel.
Again, with anything else, if you are having trouble please PM me.
Registering a ChannelIf you would like to create your own channel this is how to do so. I would like to ask that if your friend or friends made a channel then don’t make your own and just join theirs. We don’t need twenty channels that no one uses.
/cs register #channel password description
Registers your channel.
/bs assign #channel X
Gets X the channel bot in the channel.
/bs kick #Channel flood on
X will kick people who are spaming your channel. Only the channel founder can set this.
/bs say #Channel text
The channel bot (X) will say what you want it to.
/bs act #Channel text
Allows the Channel bot (X) to do /me
/bs help
More commands for the bot. (too many to go over) You use it the same as the other help commands.
Setting Auto OP
As the title says, this is where you can find out how to set auto ops for your channel.
-2 or below: The user will be automatically banned from the channel.
-1 or below: The user will not be allowed to have op status.
3: The user will automatically receive voice (+v) when they join the channel
4: The user will automatically receive halfop (+h) when they join the channel (aka auto half op)

10: The user will automatically receive Admin op (+ao) when they join the channel (can only be set by channel founders)
/cs access #Channel add nickname #
Channel admins(+a) and founders can use this to set auto ops.
