MIRC Instructions:
(The MIRC software is a trial version, but the trial never expires. You don't have to pay for it)

Go to mIRC and download the program.
It is shareware

Install and run

STOP Reading.. I want you to do something before you continue
Scroll down to the last post in this thread.. read it. Then come and continue here.

You will be prompted to put in your name, email, nickname and alternative. I reccomend you do not use your real name and email.
Your Nickname should be your game name.
Alternative name can be whatever you want.

Do not click "OK" yet.

In the option Panel is "Servers" click on that.

Click "Add"
Description = Runite Legion
IRC Server = irc.swiftirc.net (no spaces before or after or it won't work)
Port(s) = 6667
Click Add


Next Selection down is "Options"
Click "Perform"
Check the Box "Enable Perform on Connect"
Type in the box under "Perform Commands"
/join #runite_Legion
Click "OK"
Check the Box "Connect on Startup"

In the upper left is a Lightning bolt "connect" Click on it.
You may get an error statement
"*** Couldn't resolve your hostname; using your IP address instead"
Ignore it...just wait a moment.
You may get a "favorites" pop up.
Uncheck the box at the bottom "Pop up Favorites on Connect"

You should now be in the chatroom.

You should register your nickname so it does not get Highjacked.

In any MIRC screen type.
/msg nickserv register password email

DO NOT DO NOT use your RS password!!!
You must use your real E-mail here as they do an e-mail verification.
Complete the E-mail verification.

After registereing Click on "Options" (file and hammer icon upper left)
click on Connect - Options
click on Perform
Under where you typed /join #runite_legion type in
/msg nickserv identify password
Click OK twice.

Disconnect, Reconnect. From now on when you start MIRC you should automatically idenify your registered nick and go straight to our Chatroom.

I sent you to this post to prevent a common problem. Either you already screwed up, Or are doing good by reading this before you screw up.


If you get into the MIRC Chatroom and there is Nobody there... You screwed up.

You skipped ....
