Title: Posting Images

Zac - July 23, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
Rules for Posting Images:

1. Do not hotlink from any site whatsoever! Bandwidth theft will not be tolerated.
- Hotlinking is taking the direct link from another site and placing it on another site.

2. To refrain from hotlinking, save the image to your computer, then upload it onto an image hosting site.
- Image hosting sites allows users to upload an image onto the internet.
(ex. Imageshack is a site that you do not need to have an account for. It accepts images in the jpeg, jpg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff, and swf format and the maximum image size is 1024 KB.)
(ex2. Photobucket is a site that you do need an account for. Once you've signed up, you can upload images in the jpg, gif, png, bmp, tif, and swf format and images over 250 KB will be automatically resized.)

3. Once you have the new link, put the following tags around the link. (If it hasn't already been done so.)
[IMG][/IMG]

4. If your image is over 500x500 pixels, please leave the images as links. Large images stretch out the page and take a while to load for some internet users.
- Leaving images as links means leaving the tags in rule #3 out.

If you do not follow these rules, your images will be removed and you may recieve an increase in your warning level.
