Hi all

Please see below for some of the poetry events I'm performing in or helping to organise. All are well worth dropping in to if you're in the area:

24 Mar 2008, 20:00 - Acoustic Night, Halo Cafe/Bar
141 Gloucester Road, Bristol, UK

Donations

Open mic. night for poets, musicians and more besides. Tonight’s special guest is Anneleise Kellner-Joyce, who wooed audiences recently in an open mic. slot at Halo and is back for the big one. Check out her MySpace page for a taster: http://www.myspace.com/aliesekj Show starts at 8pm. Sign up from 7.45 pm.

30 May 2008 (ish) - Wychwood Festival
Cheltenham Racecourse, Cheltenham, UK

Okay, I’ll admit I don’t know yet what time (or even day) I’ll be appearing at the festival, but it will be some time between the evening of 30th May and 1st June. After last year’s fantastic debut for performance poetry at the festival, the organisers have wisely decided to expand the poetry bill. This time it will be in the hands of Hammer and Tongue and local divas Brenda Read-Brown and Sara Jane Arbury however, and I will only be poking my head up for a short performance. More details will follow here. In the meantime, see the Wychwood Festival website for the fantastic line up of music, poetry and more: http://www.wychwoodfestival.com/

15 Jun 2008, 20:30 - Thundering Word
The Main Resturant, 4210 Main Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, CA

Donations
I am the featured poet for Thundering Word Heard, Vancouver’s only weekly spoken word/music fusion open mic series, and 3 time winner of the WestEnder’s best in the west award for BEST OPEN MIC 2001-03. 8.30 pm sign up for open mic. slots. 9.30 pm show starts. Check out their MySpace site for more: http://www.myspace.com/thunderingword

16 Jun 2008, 21:00 - Vancouver Poetry Slam
2096 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, CA

C$5
I have been given leave to interrupt the proceedings of this fine, fine event for a few minutes. More importantly, this is an opportunity to see the poets who will be representing Madison, Wisconsin and in Calgary, Alberta at the NPS and CFSW events. Given the talent I’ve seen coming out of Vancouver, it’s going to be good. See their MySpace for more: http://www.myspace.com/vancouverpoetryslam

15 Aug 2008, 19:30 - Manky Poets, Chorlton Library
Manchester Road, Chorlton cum Mardy, Manchester, M21 9PN, UK

Donations
I will be performing as the special guest at the August edition of this long-running poetry open mic. evening. I have it on good authority that I will be in good company, both in terms of their past special guests and the calibre of the open mic. performers, so it should be fun. Go to: http://www.myspace.com/coanco for more information on Manky Poets and their hardworking organiser Copland.
