Just to let everyone know that the avatar size has been increased to 200x200. Also, and far more importantly, we may be switching board format to Zetaboards. This is because InvisionFree, who own this board, are currently converting their old boards to the new and improved - so they would have us believe - Zetaboards.

It's a process we can opt out of, but I've just set up a test Zetaboard, so I can accustomise myself to the new admin. processes, and it does provide a slight improvement in some areas. For instance, negotiating the board does appear to be easier, and there's a facility for members to have their own 'board blog' if they wish.

However, the default smilies on Zetaboards are darkish blue. Not as charming as our little yellow ones. More like blue meanies than cheery smilies.

The change-over, assuming I decide to opt in, is unlikely to happen until February at the very earliest. The conversion has only just started and I'm waiting to see how the first established boards react.

But please note: there should be no major changes for you, as members. All old topic, thread and index page URLs will automatically redirect to the new Zetaboards address. This promised redirection is, apparently, indefinite.

All you will need to do is adjust to a new-look forum. Whenever that happens.

I shall attempt to give some warning before conversion, at least a week, but the system is not yet in full swing, so I may warn you of an imminent change, then find nothing happens for weeks. :ph43r:
