Many of you may not see The Bookseller, the main organ of the publishing industry. It's not as dull as it sounds, it's a must read for publishers. Mainly for the gossip. There's a rather good piece on Robin Robertson, putting him in the context of Deputy Publisher at Jonathan Cape. It's very good. Revealing in some ways and sets out his stall to put writing first. He describes himself as outmoded and a sort of flagellant. If you can grab a copy go do so. There's no online view alas.

Sounds like my sort of guy, then. ;)
