Title: Raw Light

Jane Holland - June 22, 2007 09:20 AM (GMT)
I know it's been more deathly quiet on here than in the tomb recently, and I apologise for that. Part of an admin's job should be to stir things up when nothing's happening, andf I've definitely failed there. Two excuses. One, I've been writing and that needs to take precedence over chat. Two, I've been posting more or less daily for the past fortnight to my lit. blog RAW LIGHT. That takes major time and effort, as of course I'm still updating Poets on Fire every day too.

But I'm hoping it will all pay off when I'm recognised in the street or the supermarket. 'Look, Mummy, there's that woman who was arrested for falling asleep at the wheel!'

Come visit my sites and leave comments. That way I'll know you're really out there.

Hi Jane
Just to let you know - the yellow text on red background is difficult to read but manageable - however, the (light blue?) links are *impossible* for my more-aged-than-yours eyes. I can guess which link is for comments from the general layout, but have no clue what others may be.

Yeah...well said Jean, i'm glad it's me and not you breaking the bluddy dazzling font-news, one could follow jane, but only coz one is a fan yeah, but Jean points out a very obvious missing fig-leaf for your new readers unused to s/he ways and Mnx magic, the desire and reality of being the rock of four boundaries, boudicca and co, over and out..

Thanks for that input! I shall see what I can do to improve the look of the site - I don't have any probs with it myself, but obviously it isn't successful on everyone else's machines. No point writing if no one can read it!

Cheers, Jx

and who is Jean?

Jane Holland - June 23, 2007 04:02 PM (GMT)
Jeanne d'Arc, perhaps? A figment of his imagination, I expect, which is already stuffed full of figments and other oddities ... ^_^

Its a busy world out there, and here. Had lots of visitors but no paying guests, suddenly I have lots of friends who love to visit France in summer!

Anyone who wants to pay me to visit get in touch, apart from that I'm just tired, too much work to do.

I am trying to pick up the tempo and keep writing, but you know how it is with a bottle of wine, its open - its gone.

And so am I.

Keep the faith Jane, people are listening, I bumped into a guy called Dave Kennedy last night at a Jazz evening, he has written a couple of books and stuff, seems he knew there was someone else in the area, just couldn't find me.

The price of fame is high, but obscurity is its own reward. Peace and tranquillity - but no money.

Ah well, I have to go and empty our garden of forty years of rubbish. But the sun is shining.

Jim
