Just trying out the forum and saying hello,
I've had a browse, seen some of the stuff, so now - who knows what will happen.
I'm sat here in a half built house in France trying to start a holiday centre. Learning how to build everything.
E-mail me for anything, I am stanza rep here after all. :)

Hi Jim
It's always very quiet on this forum. I like to think everyone is writing instead of posting messages! I need my internet fix though so I'm posting a lot on Discutons.org instead at the moment ... using a dictionary for every third word, but it's fun.
Let us know about anything that goes on in your area, poetry-wise. Is there a lot of English-speaking poetry activity in France? If so, in which areas is it the strongest? In Paris, perhaps? Though I should imagine there must be quite a lot of ex-pats in Provence and the Cote d'Azur, maybe some poets among them. My father lives in the Var and there's a number of Brits out there, though I think they tend to be fairly integrated with the French population.
Is there any performance poetry in France? In French as well as English. I've just heard about a live poetry club event called Le Moustache Grandiloquent in Paris, and wondered whether English performers also have anything going on.
Good to see you here!
J.
I am in the middle of rural France, not much english poetry here, I hope to start a revival, :D
At the moment it is only internet stuff. I used to post on the Melic board until it closed, now I will try yours.
There is stuff around, up in Clermont Ferrand and in Le Puy en Velay, I have been to a French reading, but my French struggles to keep up. Perseverance will out.
I hope all the visitors I get for my business ambitions will provide all I need. I'm a born optimist.
I hope you accomodation sorts itself out soon.
Jim
