Title: Maxi or Amir?
Description: Who will have a better NBA career?

You would think that Amir has a greater upside because of his raw talent and his size...but look at how Maxielle has upped his game in the last few weeks getting some quality minutes. I think the playoffs will be a true test, but this question is definitely up for discussion.
I'm going to go with my gut and say that Maxi is set for a better career, though I think both will have an impact. When we watch the Zoo Crew we may just be seeing the future starters of the pistons in the years to come.

You can see Maxiell's game start to round out. There's a lot of similarities to Charles Barkley early on in his career. Very explosive, with deceptive leaping ability. So, it's been very exciting to see Maxiell (or the OH-BEAST as I've taken to calling him) draining 15 footers. He's getting into that "pick your poison" realm.
As for Amir he's still so raw. He's got tons of natural gifts on the defensive end, but he needs work on his offensive game. His jumper looks like it comes off his chest. I'd like to see Rasheed work with him in getting those arm up. He might also need work on his timing down low. It seems like a lot of times when he's got position or opportunities down low the defense is able to recover and prevent the bucket forcing Amir to earn 'em at the line. I'd like to see more and1 opps from #25.

Amir's is a little inconsistent in what is asked of him. He looked like a 3 two years ago, now he's strictly a 5. It's been difficult to evaluate him from that standpoint.
I think Maxiell has a better handle on the NBA game, but Johnson has more physical gifts. Right now I say Maxiell.
