1. find a render you like..i chose this one


2. grab the single colun marquee tool and make a selection like so

3. press ctrl + c and put aside the render we will be using it later

4. make a new document i chose 400x100

5. press ctrl + v and then ctrl + t

6. stretch the image by grabing a box and pulling it left and right so you have something like the following



7. now go image -> adjustments -> desaturate and load up your favorite grunge/abstract brushes

8. make a new layer and brush the canvas in white
9. when your happy with it switch the color to black and brush again on a new layer
10. now press x to switch back to white and brushes away on a new layer

heres what i got from brushing

11. merge all the layers together and go filter -> blur -> gaussian blur with these settings


12. set the blured layers mode to overlay

13. now go layer -> new adjustment layer -> color balance and get a color you like
14. now with the color balance layer selected go filter -> render clouds

15. repeat steps 13 and 14 about 3 times
be sure to press ctrl f a few times to get a nice flow of color

16. now add a border,the render and some text
