Hm. *flexes fingers* aright then here we go!
First off let me mention that this is just
my opinion, not everyone else’s. I will address each potential “graphic”, mentioning both the pros and cons. Thank you.
Paperdoll1) I guess I'll mention the first thing I’d noticed.
I was looking at the pixle version of Merlex and noticed that there was this “thick”/ “thin” line around him. The first thing that made me look at it was the pretty little picture behind him. I liked the change from the black to the pretty blue sky. Now, I’m not trying to be a pain about it, but that little detail was bugging me. Then again, I'm not that used to 2d, and it could be that. hehehe
Before I forget, the scrolls in the lower left corner of him are also tilting me both ways, I sortof like it, but I sortof don't.

2) Alright, the picture below points out two things. The purple arrow is pointing toward the dragon, which I found that I really like actually. I’m quite fond of dragons which is probably why, but if that was the only change, I would be a happy gal. Now the other thing the picture points out is the boarder changes. I’m not really clicking with those well.
To be honest, not at all.
To me, two reasons bring upon this feeling. One) It’s just eye candy, not necessary and distracts from the actual game play and enjoyment you could be having if you weren’t too busy looking at your pixilated character and its neat new paper doll. Two) it’s too formal. Now before you start asking what I’m talking about, I just don’t see Ultima Online, Or Pacifica turning the medieval world formal. Yes there were kings and queens, but we players aren’t them. (heheheh) We do their dirty work and what they’re too lazy or afraid of doing for them. Basically, we’re their servants (Or soldiers don’t nag at me >.<). Before I get off track, It’s just too formal for me, It’s nice and everything, just more eye candy we don’t need.

3) Now before you get tired of reading and are starting to get the point that there’s soo many cons being thrown out, well just listen to this last one and I’ll move off of the paper doll. It could be just me, but I’m not clicking right with this either, the colors are really nice, but with that formal boarder and everything on it, it just seems too much. If you subtracted the boarder, it’s possible I could like it more. But still, if left the choice from the gray to the blue and green, I would actually choose the gray. Greens my favorite color (at least that’s what I tell people) so if you think that’s why I don’t really like it right now, you’re wrong. I just don’t like the “blue and green” painted in and the boarders and everything slapped on too. And is it just me or does it seem a little rushed? I could be wrong and could just be being a big brat about it all, but I’ve played another free shard who had this similar template (I think if I’m not mistaken) and I wasn’t really liking it. It Just seemed too awkward for me. But that is going to be left to the rest of you. Now that I think I’ve trailed on long enough let’s switch to something else.
Note: I circled the colors in case you got lost in the words somehow. :P
Character Status 1) The boarders-As you know I’m not very fond of them, but here they look a little better. Not as big and extravagant as the paper dolls. Which also makes them “Less formal”, which is an improvement from above notes. I’d also like to point out the title while we’re on the subject of boards, It mixes in nicely here and the change from the blue to green is settle and nice. But of course all of this is just pure eye candy that Merlex is trying to hypnotize us into playing more. (I’m onto you).
And always, not that it should even be mentioned, I love the little green dragon.

2)Well even with this small picture to look at, I like it. I like the blues and greens here, and also the “foggy” white around the little pictures. (It’s much better then the obvious black). I circled an example of it-the one around the Strength (arm). The colors here are nicer then the paper doll, so less for me to complain about. :)
MoongateFour words: I don’t like it.Maybe if it was only for one facet then it’s negotiable. But if that’s going to be the new moongate, then I guess I’ll be staying home and not traveling in them anymore. *crosses arms* I just don’t like them, I think they’re ugly. And with that said, It looks like I addressed every issue, thanks for reading.

So now that you read another long post by yours truely, I'm going off to see how much more trouble I can get into. *dances* Later! B)
