America IRA ( individual retirement account)
Britian IRA ( Irish Republic Army)

America BUM is a homeless person, a beggar, or to be lazy
Britian BUM is the backside (butt) of a person

America GM means General Motors
Britian GM means gemerically modified

Frosties America A frozen dessert you can buy at Wendy's fast food resturant
Britian A brand of breakfast cereal

As you can see not all the English language is used in the same manner over seas... So be carefull what you say in other countries.. YOu omight not get what you ask for.
