B) I am watching E3-2K5 and they are showing the new counsels. :ph43r:

 The PS3 is absolutely the front runner so far. The games they are showing are absolutely beautiful. :D

:( The X-BOX 360 really looks bad on there game releases. They are focusing on online play mainly. Doesn't my computer do that?

They both are going to be multimedia machines with movies and music. Doesn't my computer do that?

Now, here is what has me puzzled. You buy the counsel for the games you can play on it. Am I correct? So why would Nintendo unvail the Nintendo Revolution without 1 single game. That is right. Look at this pretty box. Don't you want it? Well, one good thing. If you broke your origanal Nintendo or other previous  counsels, and can't find a emulator to run them either, you can download every Nintendo game made on the previous counsels.

I agree with you there. The only reason I got a PS2 in the first place, was for Final Fantasy 10. I purchased the PS1 for Final Fantasy 7. Yes, I am a FF fan and am looking forward to 12 coming out later this year on the PS2. I purchased the Super Nintendo becuase, well it was the best out there. I fell for the Metroid Series, so when Gamecube came out with Metroid Prime, I got the Cube. Now, there is nothing that would make me buy the X-Box. That is why I got as a gift from my place of employment. It was a nice thank you. The PS3 is not due out for another year, is what they are saying. I am very happy with my PC. I can't play Pacifica on my counsels. B)

:( I just got one of my first disspointments with the P3. The cost. What I caught was the base cost will be $500.00. Now, that is a lot for a counsel. But, here is why. They will be using the new blue laser, or high def laser technology. Now mind you, there is about to be a war with the high def laser DVD players. There will be 2 types of high def DVD players released. One will be blue laser, and one will be red laser. Now, neither of them are the clear front runners, so DVDs should be put out on both systems. Right?.........

:( Wrong! DVD companies will only release a DVD to either blue or red laser, not both. Kinda like the VHS vs Beta years ago. In other words. You will have DVDs that will only work on red laser, but will not work on blue laser. They will not make one for the blue laser. And this will go vice versa too. So, if you want to start collecting the new DVDs in high def, you will have to buy 2 DVD players to play them all. I for one will wait to see who wins. The DVD player, I think, will be starting around $1K.

:o So, Sony is going to be blue laser.

Just rember sony created the cd and laser device to play it they have it down to a science

Aryk - May 21, 2005 05:11 PM (GMT)
That is true, but $500 for a counsel. That is what kills me.

Well i rember several ppl paying 799.00 a 3DO hek they sold over 3 million consoles. and that was teh state of the art system in its time. I would pay for it if it is backwards compat butthen again i get them all hehee

Aryk - May 23, 2005 01:35 AM (GMT)
It is backwards compatible. I just don't want to pay that much money for a new system, but I am willing to pay that to upgrade my pc. Hehe. :D

I was not one of those 3 million. I am my own person, and according to my mother, I AM SPECIAL! :P I still don't own a 3DO. I will probably end up getting a PS3, but not for at least a year after it comes out.
