Onikage Version 1.0 & Pick Moore 2/1 Entering the new year, Tommy Taylor and Steele lost the tag team title to Onikage and Pick. This happened on Insanity Episode 44. Triple 6, Razer and Organon 5/3/1 After the end of the PWA Cup tournament, Vegeta and Zach had an open challenge for their tag straps. In an unlikely turn of events, their challenge was picked up by Razer and Triple 6, who went on to win the straps. Shortly after, however, Razer left PWA and the strap was dropped to Organon. Vegeta and Zach had no defenses before losing. (9/19/04 - 5/29/05) 26. Tommy Dragon and Tom Tyco 1/2 In an amazing upset, what appeared to be another routine tag title defense for the Forsworn ended up being the final chapter in their exactly nine month long reign. The Forsworn had five defenses before losing the belts. (6/1/05 - 7/10/05) 27. The Syndicate (Mysterio and Warsaw) 2/1 At Retaliation, Dragon and Tyco were set to defend their Tag Team titles in a Tag Team Turmoil match against teams of Joker/Sean Blake, Hisoka/Howell, Hajjhowe/ZJP and Liam/Galeon. But after beating down Liam and Galeon before the match, Warsaw and Mysterio decided to replace them in the matchup. In the end, the match went down to only the Tag Team Champs and this new team. Warsaw and Mysterio hit their finishers at the Tag Team Champs and won the titles with simultanteous pins. Tyco and Dragon had one defense before losing the belts. (7/10/05 - 8/14/05) 28. Generation Extreme (Joker and Sean Blake) 1/1 At Ground Zero, the Tag Team Championships changed hands but interestingly not in a Tag Team match. Warsaw and Mysterio defended their halves of the championships against Joker and Sean Blake respectively in singles matches. Joker won his half by default when Warsaw surpisingly no-showed while Mysterio was defeated by Blake in a Last Man Standing match. The Syndicate had 2 defenses before losing the belts. (8/14/05 - 9/4/05) 29. Marks of Perfection (Zach Pendergrass and Tommy Dragon) 6/2 Generation Extreme were challenged by Tommy Dragon for a shot at their Tag Team Championships. It appeared that he would attempt to win them on his own, but Zach Pendergrass, who returned after a hiatus joined The Hotshot to not only face Joker and Sean Blake, but defeat them for the titles. Generation Extreme had no defenses before losing the straps. (9/4/05 - 1/1/06) 30. Faithless (Deception and Tony Xtreme) 4/2 At the last show of 2005, two former partners would reunite to challenge the Marks of Perfection in a Christmas Crypt Match. Tony Xtreme and Deception would send one of their opponents into the wooden casket and be named the first World Tag Team Champions of the new year. The Marks of Perfection had a record breaking nine defenses before being defeated for the belts. (1/1/06 - 1/25/06) 31. Heartstopping Amish Bastard Children (Triple 6 and Jebediah the Amish Bastard Child) 6/1 If you think this looks weird, imagine how bad Deception and Tony Xtreme feel about losing to this team. Faithless has one defense before losing to the Antichrist and an Amish kid. (1/25/06 - 2/12/06) 32. Super Awesome Boys (Hajjhowe and Ace) 1/1 How do you top losing to the Antichrist and an Amish kid? How about a retired athlete and a three hundred pound retard. Triple 6 and his protégé lost to the Super Awesome Boys at Pandemonium after one defense. (2/12/06 - 3/26/06) 33. London Underground (Alex Giltinane and Krazy Kid) 1/1 Losing to a retired athlete and a three hundred pound retard may be bad, but how about losing to two British guys? The Super Awesome Boys had one defense before losing the belts to the upstart team. (3/26/06 - 5/14/06) 34. Steele and Julio Guerrera 4/3 London Underground's grasp of the tag titles would only last until the Three Hours of Power pay per view, in a rather controversial match. First off, Alex Giltinane was apparently too ill to come out for the match, making it a one on one encounter between Krazy Kid and Julio Guerrera, or so it seemed. Julio Guerrera had challenged London Underground the week before, however he never once mentioned him having a partner, so to needless to say, Krazy Kid was more than surprised when Steele made his way out to the ring as the All Around Best's partner for what would end up being a two one one handicap match. It was then revealed later in the show that Alex Giltinane had now aligned himself with Steele as part of his family, and that his 'illness' was all part of a plan. London Underground had two defenses before losing the belts. (5/14/06 - 6/16/06) * Titles are vacated due to Steele and Julio not meeting the four week defense rule.* 35. Sparkle Motion! (Tommy Dragon and Piccie Smalls)3/1 After destroying the competition in the tag team tournament, Sparkle Motion! defeated Frank Evans and Indystar in the finals at Ground Zero. It is the first time the two men have held the titles together. Steele and Julio Guerrera had 0 defenses before being forced to vacate. (7/23/06 - 2/4/07) 36. THE MEXI-CAN EXPRESS (Bman and Julio Guerrera) 2/4 For the first time since August 2002, Bman becomes a Tag Team Champion. Mysterio is once again a tag champion, just a half year after his previous reign. An unlikely alliance, Bman and Julio tamed Tommy Dragon and, of all people, Eagle, who replaced Smalls after Tommy Dragon betrayed him, to grab hold of the titles on Insanity's 113th episode. Sparkle Motion! had four defenses before losing the titles. (2/4/07 - 5/20/07) 37. Black Dragon and Anthony Pelizzoli After a sudden and abrupt departure from PWA, Bman left his partner with little time to find a replacement partner. Calling upon his WAR stablemate, Julio teamed with Kyle Rieger to take on the team of Black Dragon and Anthony Pelizzoli at Three Hours of Power. Unfortunately for the WAR team, they weren't able to continue on with their winning ways and instead of retaining, something the Mexi-can Express got so used to doing, they lost the match and the belts. Even though Kyle Rieger joined Julio in the title match, he was never a holder of the belt. The Mexi-Can Express had two defenses before losing the titles. (5/20/07 - 6/3/07) 38. The Untouchables (Vegeta and Triple 6) 4/7 After forming The Untouchables, these two managed to defeat Steele and Mysterio in order to prove themselves worthy of a Tag title shot. They got that chance on Insanity Episode 127, where they went on to defeat Black Dragon and stablemate Anthony Pelizzoli. This victory gave Triple 6 the sole lead of most reigns. Black Dragon and Anthony Pelizzoli had zero defenses before losing. (6/3/07 - 12/22/07) *The Untouchables vacate their titles.* 39. Senonymous (Adam Senton and Mr. Anonymous) Due to later mistrust between Vegeta and Triple 6, the two decided to part ways and vacate their Tag Team titles. To the surprise of the participants in a Number One Contenders' match, the bout became one for the vacant titles. Adam Senton and Mr. Anonymous both gained their first Tag Team championships when they defeated the teams of Kendo & Indystar and Serial & Big Jimmy. The Untouchables had had five defenses before losing. (12/22/07 - 05/11/08) 40. Revolution Inc. (Hellfire and Koda) At Three Hours of Power, the two titanic terrors of Revolution Inc. squared off for the second time against Senonymous. Carrying huge chips on their shoulders, Revolution Inc.'s 'disciples' seemed to learn from their previous mistakes, and hit Senton and Mr. Anonymous fast and hard, defeating them for their first ever Tag Team Championships. Senonymous had 2 defenses before losing. (05/11/08 - 07/21/08) *Revolution Inc. were stripped of their titles.* 41. Organon and Deception 2/5 After a month long PWA Cup III round robin tournament, the final match occured at Extreme Destruction. Deception and Organon fought against Sully and Mr. Anonymous in the finals of the tournament, where the winners would be handed the vacant Tag titles. In the end, the former Forsworn members defeated their opponents, in order to claim the vacant Tag Team titles. Revolution Inc. had 0 defenses before losing. (8/24/08 - 9/21/08) 42. Tecnico Difficulties (Serial and Kyle Rieger) 1/1 After the hard and gruesome task of winning the PWA Cup, Organon and Deception would succumb at their first hurle in their Tag Team championship reign, losing the titles to Serial and Rieger only three weeks after winning them. This was a low moment for the pair and they have since parted ways, however, Tecnico Difficulties are enjoying their time as champions. Organon and Deception had no defenses before losing. (9/21/08 - 3/2/09) 43. Organon and Tommy Dragon 3/4 At Pandemonium, with the help of his newly found parter Tommy Dragon, Organon regained the Tag Team Championships from Tecnico Difficulties in a match that also had his World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Tecnico Difficulties had three defenses before losing. (3/2/09 - ??/??/??) This post has been edited by The Oakster on Mar 4 2009, 10:28 AM |
