Title: Moonlight begins.
Description: [PG 13] - Just incase xD

Luna Lux Lucis - April 16, 2008 02:41 PM (GMT)
A slender form saunters through the dark wasteland, sapphire orbs gazing through the air. His movements were slow, deliberate, and yet graceful, femanine. Close at his heels, a small brick-red fox padded, just as silent, her head tilting now and again to gaze up at her friend and master. His hands were thrust in his pockets, eyes seeming thoughtful, curious.

What is this place? Why am I here? And this...this Vulpix...how did I know what its called? I've never seen one before...she's beautiful though...

He knelt down and gently stroked the creature's muzzle, smiling a tad as she nuzzled into his hand, letting out a soft, "Pix..." as he did so.
"I think I'll call you Incendia...I believe thats latin for fire..." he looked into her eyes, "My names Lux."
"Vul!" came a soft reply.

After your short greeting with your Vulpix, your attention was turned to the world around you. A barren place, the gray sky and dark gray ground, along with the slightly different shade of the gray clouds....yep, it was pretty gray. Boring, almost, if the atmosphere didn't leak impending doom. But maybe that was just your imagination. Maybe.

Not all was silent, however. In the distance, you could hear somebody's voice. "Come on, use a Scratch attack!" the voice, who belonged to a male, cried out. Or maybe it was saying something completely different. It was too faint to really tell.

In the direction of the voice, a good couple hundred feet of the way, you could see the slight traces of motion. It seemed to be a fellow human, which could be nice after the shock of being sucked into a book. Or, maybe it was better to remain alone and independent. That was your own prerogative.

Lux's head turned to look towards the voice, sapphire eyes roaming the direction the voice was heard, curiousity got the better of him. He slowly, and very gently, picked up Incendia, holding her warmth against his chest, his hands buried in her fur, keeping her close. He straightened up, careful not to make a noise, before heading in the direction he believed he heard the words. He looked down at Incendia as he walked, seeing her curled up against him, eyes closed, listening out but appearing asleep.
I feel...protective...like I need to take care of her...
This surprised him, he hadn't had this feeling for a long time...

As you approached, it became more clear who the source of the voice was. The faint silhouette only a tiny bit visible became clearer and clearer as you approached, and you saw what the boy (because you could now see it was a boy, around thirteen) was talking to. He was in a Pokèmon battle. The Meowth clearly on his side was sparring against a Sandshrew, probably wild, since there wasn't another human in sight.

"No, that's not good enough!" the boy cried out as the Meowth went in for a Scratch and was met with Sandshrew's hard armor, "If you were strong enough, you could break through anything! Even a tough Ground-type Pokèmon! And this one isn't even strong! It's a little weakling! What? Are YOU a little weakling then, Meowth?"

The Meowth took this verbal abuse without a word, looking apologetically at its master, and then was promptly hit by the Sandshrew with a Scratch from behind.

"Quit fooling around!" the trainer called, disgusted, "Eyes on the fight, you hear me?" He still hadn't even noticed you, since all his focus was on the battle ahead.

Luna Lux Lucis - April 28, 2008 09:29 AM (GMT)
"Incendia, use an Ember to distract them." Lux said softly, watching the flames flicker from his beautiful vixen's jaws.

"Stop treating your Pokèmon like dirt!" Lux growled, "I've been watching you, you should be encouraging your Meowth to fight, not treating it like crap." Incendia stood at Lux's heels, hackles raised, along with all 6 of its tails raised at attention. She looked pretty angry.

LordessCass - April 28, 2008 06:58 PM (GMT)
The boy turned quickly, facing you upon hearing your words. Meowth, too, looked your way, but kept a wary eye on the Sandshrew. Sandshrew, however, was interested in the distraction as well. Meowth looked somewhat relieved at your intervention, but he still watched his master, seeing what he would do.

It only took a second for the boy to retort, "It's my Pokèmon and I can do what I like with it! I've been chosen to save the world, you know. And in saving the world, I'm gonna come across a bunch of strong Pokèmon. All a heck of a lot stronger than this stupid Sandshrew here. If my Meowth can't handle this little weakling, who's to say I shouldn't beat some sense into the thing?"

Upon hearing the derogatory words directed his way, the Sandshrew gave the boy a look of resentment. While his assailant was still distracted, the little Pokèmon quickly dug a hole and disappeared.

Looking back on the battlefield, the boy cursed. "Look what you did! There goes my training fodder!"
