Title: Changes Effective In January

Tan-Tan - November 28, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
The following changes are effective in January. Why January? Because we will focus on Battlefest and the Christmas Story in December.

MP System and Pokèmon Classes

Depending on the amount of your MP, you can tame a Pokèmon depending on it class.

30 and below MP - Non-Fighter and Weakling Class
50 - 100 MP - Basic-1 Class
300 - 400 MP - Basic-2 Class
500 - 700 MP - Basic-3 Class
800 MP - 1, 000 MP - Average Class
2, 000 MP - 3, 500 MP - Advanced Class
5, 000 MP - 10, 000 MP - Ultimate Class <-- I'm at this level thanks to my posts but there are many more ways to earn MP than posting.
10, 000 MP + - Mirage Class

Factors:
+ 50% taming points to Starter Pokèmon
- 20% taming points to Adopted Pokèmon
- 30% taming points to Traded Pokèmon
Oracle Gems : Each Gem increase your current taming power to the next level so you can control a higher class. For example, if your current MP is 350, you can dominate classes from Basic-2 and below but with a single Oracle Gem, you can also dominate Basic-3 Class.

^ You will only notice changes in the RPG, depending on the situation, nature, status and estimate of a mood. Usually this is most seen during battles. If you don't have enough taming points, the Pokèmon might not listen to see (what more with a bad nature) and usually exhaust faster because the Pokèmon cannot control well its power out in the battle.

Oracle Gem Types
From RPG Informations items you will see below about the gems having primary and secondary types. The Primary type refers to the offensive power and Secondary type refers to the defensive. It creases 50% the power of the type in the party.

For example, if your Primary type is Ice and your Secondary is Psychic, all Party Pokèmon with the primary type of Ice gets a 50% increase in their overall stats (not just ATK or Spec ATK). While the rest gets a 50% Psychic-resistance as the Secondary type of the gem is Psychic. If ever the Pokèmon like Smoochum has a primary type of Ice and a secondary type that is Psychic (she's a dual-type), then she is capable of holding the Oracle Gem as a Hold Item, increasing her own stats by 50% and distributing 15% to the rest of the Party Pokèmon and their Psychic defenses to 50% as well.

It sounds complicated but it's easy and more on estimation but notable in battles. Anyway none so far had gone close getting the gem but I noticed a lot have been getting stronger. Most are already level 8 and above, the strongest level 18 *coughDRcough*

Secret Base

Unfortunately, I didn't get a yes from a script requested a month ago (or was that two?) I asked to make this so we're going for the old school: Construction

Here are the steps to MAKE a Secret Base
  • Teach your Oracle Guide SECRET POWER
  • Have the Oracle Guide use Secret Power
  • Walk around and have the Oracle Guide keep on using it. Watch the light on its horn carefully. If it blinks, it have found something. The faster it blinks, the closer you are to the possible base.
WARNING: the blinking can be an alarm that a wild Pokèmon is nearby or something so be careful.
  • Once finding a place you can build for your Secret Base, your Oracle Guide's horn will flash, giving you a 10 colors. Pick only 5. If you move on a right spot, your guide will flash more than 10 colors which gives you better option and it would be harder to find your base then.

The color combination is the password for your Secret Base. Once deciding, write a Letter to the Woman including the color combination, the area, the location (cave, forest...). Give it to your Oracle Guide and the guide departs
  • Leave the base and wait for a reply from the Woman.
You will receive the reply from your Oracle Guide, coming back with a reply (and hopefully, whole) The reply will contain the approval and complete information of the place (size and environment). Reply again if you want to build your base here for sure.

Next the Woman will ask you information one at a time like what tiles you want. Reply and after sometime, you will be questioned again and do the same thing by answering. You will be given options. The options depend on the location you have picked. The last letter from her would say that it is complete and all Secret Base items you have have been sent there. Now just go back in your Secret Base and start fixing things.

^ you only need one :letter: or other mails.
^ your oracle guide will basically be absent in this negotiation

FINDING a Secret Base
  • Teach your Oracle Guide SECRET POWER
  • Have your Oracle Guide use SECRET POWER. Keep on using it and watch your guide's light. Same thing will happen: if it blinks faster, the closer you are to it.
  • Once finding the potential base, your guide's light will die. It means that the base you found is occupied. You don't know the exact location but it's around you and to find it, you have to have your guide use Secret Power again and the guide will show you the 10 colors again. Guess the 5 color combination and once you guessed it right, the base will be revealed.

If ever the color combination includes a "Rare" color, you have to move on an exact location for your Oracle Guide to provide an eleventh or more than 10 colors so if you have a rare color in your password, it's almost impossible to track your base down.

^ this is the same with going in your base. The light will die so you have to have your guide use Secret Power to open your own base. Make sure you step on the right place if your color combination has a "Rare" color or even you will never find it.
NPC Submission

You will now be capable of submitting NPCs. However you will have to pay for the Pokèmon, items, and other special things in that NPC through MP. For example if the NPC has a Legendary Pokèmon, you have to pay a lot of MP for that.

The NPCs act as your double-account however GMod and Admin are given the right to control and use it if wished. You can make your NPC appear in someone's Event and Quest. They can also appear in the Battledome, the Trading Post and in the Fishing Harbor. NPCs can appear more than once at the same time but not just anywhere. The NPC can only be in one area.

There are consequences if you use your NPC wrongly which will cause the deletion of it.

New Quests

Quests will now be FREEPLAY. So what is a Quest? A Quest is like a mission. You can get a mission in your RPG. What are these missions? You can find them in your journey. Have you heard of strange rumors that are not really important in your journey? See something suspicious that you ignored in your journey? Did you hear some random person grumble about the low sale their bakery has? Well these are all missions! Ask permission to start a quest about this and all you have to do is to do is to complete the Quest through freeplay.

Put in a good deal of effort in your Quest. Don't just end the Quest with a simple defeating the bad guy cliche and then happily ever after because you will be graded with MP! And if you've done really well, an item and a Pokèmon you deserve. For example your Quest was about helping a Deliberd deliver the eggs. The story have ended something like you helping the Deliberd and so you sank on the ground, exhausted. The moderator who will judge will you "update" this, telling you that the Deliberd have left you an egg as a thank you, if you did well of course. If not, it's likely that you just get a treasure chest filled with MP then the end.

However, each areas will have ready-made Quests which earns you more MP than usual. Easy Quests will earn you less money than harder Quests. You will also encounter rarer, harder Quests depending on th amount of MP you have.

In short, make sure you fuel your MPs before then!
