Title: Let's hatch the critter

Farore - January 6, 2007 02:15 AM (GMT)
Milia went inside the Hatchery with the egg in her arms. Didn't knowing what pokemon could hatch from the egg she just wanted to figure it out.

"Hello." She said as she stepped inside, trying to find someone she could ask how she could hatch the egg. "Anybody here?"

Fire Starter - January 8, 2007 02:58 PM (GMT)
"Why hello my pretty. I suppose you want to hatch that pretty little egg eh?" Said a weird looking doctor like scientist guy o.O "Very well dont you worry your pretty little head, we just need to do a battle follow me please." he said leading you to a strange chamber with a weird matchine that he attached your egg to. "this matchine makes for an interesting experiment.

"Chose your pokemon so I can choose mine!" he said with a malicious smile that kinda creeped ya out...

Farore - January 8, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
Milia thought of which pokemon to choose. Mitsuhoney was strong, but weak to a lot of types. eevee didn't have a lot of good set of moves... "Well, I think I'll choose Psyduck." She said to herself. "Go, Giraü!!" She said as her Psyduck was released of its pokeball.

Naomi-Tani - January 13, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
The crazy Professor Leigh laughed, "Nice Pokémon!" he said in a sort-of-meaning-it kind of way, "Go, Absol!" He threw a Pokéball, landing on the ground. The light formed as the disaster Pokémon, "Absol!"

Then, Prof. Leigh's assistant Jesslyn walked over to a wall with buttons on it and pressed a dark brownish one, almost black. The arena then turned into a cave looking battle field, made of stone and rock as the room darkened, but had a bit of light to see.

Farore - January 14, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
"Amazing!" Milia managed to say before the red eyes of Absol freeze her. She hoped that Psyduck weren't scare of the pokemon and those pointy slashers it had in it's head. "Okay then, let's get this started!" Milia gained confident in herself, although it was her first battle, she hoped to do ok. "Start with Tail whip Giraü!"

Fire Starter - February 3, 2007 01:39 AM (GMT)
The tail whip.. failed the absol wasn't paying attention it was still looking at you. Its red eyes peircing into your soul o.o freaky.. meh. It came foward quickly and used a scratch attack. causing.. little damage so you counter....

Farore - February 3, 2007 06:14 PM (GMT)
"Use your own scratch Giraü!, Be sure to cause some damage into that absol"

The Psyduck for the first time focused in an objective rising it's hand like claw scratched the Absol on it's face.

Fire Starter - February 4, 2007 11:46 PM (GMT)
Which was a bad... idea.. the absol was now angry.. You ticked it off. You should not have scratched his beautiful face! It came back with Faint Attack (egg move) that caused great damage to your psyduck so you counter with ....

Farore - February 5, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
"Giraü!" The Psyduck answered with a suffering face. It looked like the Absol had caused more damamge than expected... "Giraü, use your Tail Whip and then Scratch, let's hope that the combo works."

Suppi - February 12, 2007 06:53 AM (GMT)
"Psy!" Giraü quacked. The duck pokemon wagged it's tail towards the snow white pokemon. You notice Absol sort of twitched, it was losing some defence. Next, the Psyduck wabble over to Absol, and swiped it's claws all over the pokemon.

"AB!" The pokemon cried. It was becoming annoyed, since Scratch did good damage.

Professor Leigh cackled.

"Hahahaha! Absol, use scratch, and dodge whatever Psyduck throws at you!" The Professor ordered.

Farore - February 21, 2007 09:12 PM (GMT)
"Giraü! Dodge aswell, roll on the floor and then attack." She remembered a common ddoging move that she saw in a movie. "It was good..." She reacted and turned red. "Giraü, do not loose your focus, keep at it. Scratching and dodging!"

justanotherpokemonfan - March 17, 2007 02:14 PM (GMT)
It scratch ed first, so the attacks hit at the same time, and didn't do any damage. The absol lunged forward again, with another scratch, this time Girau ducked and rolled as commanded, then jumped forward with a scratch. This went on for some time, it was starting to get boring.

Farore - April 1, 2007 10:39 PM (GMT)
(I just discovered that pokeomn can use TM of their own type.. If I misunderstood again and they cannot, please shoot me >.<.. Nah, just joking, but pretend I said scratch)

"Giraü!" Milia finally said. "Use an Hydro Pump when it gets near!" Milia thought that a close range Hydro pump would be quite effective against the running Absol. Milia crossed her fingers, because she knew that Hydro pumps weren't very accurate, but maybe a large target as Absol and being close would make it easier to hit.

Tan-Tan - April 13, 2007 08:56 AM (GMT)
It proved just to be right as the Absol makes its own move to approach you. Giraü made its move for a Hydro Pump but then Absol's senses tingled--danger, calamity--disaster was just up ahead. Its instincts told it to come to a sudden halt. Professor Leigh studied this sudden turn of events, narrowing his eyes suspiciously but said nothing to protest. Giraü pumped the Hydro Pump. Absol was lucky to have sensed it but was still hit by the chest, though not squarely. The Absol growled, counter-attacking with Double-Edge, knocking both the two Pokemon to the floor.

Farore - April 13, 2007 10:29 PM (GMT)
"Giraü!!" Milia exclaimed frightened. "Are you okay??" She became to gro worried of the Psyduck's health as it was now lieing on the floor and it seemed in bad conditions. She awaited for a move of any of the two pokemon resting on the floor. Maybe the decision was already made but she still have faith on her Psyduck's strenght.

Saikari - May 21, 2007 03:06 PM (GMT)
[Sowwy. I'll get to this now XD]
[Pokèmon can use their egg moves as well]

As you watched Giraü lie on the ground, you were almost sure for a second that your Psyduck was indeed gone. You had a sudden intention to withdraw Psyduck, but your intuition told you to stop, and that your Psyduck could still fight.

The professor was laughing its head of, though. Totally amused at the sight of your Psyduck, who was lying down at the side, motionless and unmoving, the professor began to crack up with laughter, tears rolling down his cheeks as he laughed madly at the Psyduck.

"Ahahaha, that Psyduck thinks that by feigning death, I'll be able to spare its life. What a joke! Ahahaha..."

You were suddenly filled with anger, as you opened you mouth to retort the professor. How canhe laugh at an injured Pokèmon? This was a matter of life and death, how can he treat it so lightly?

"Oh no, my Psyduck is injured. Stop thinking it's feigning death!"

"No, it's not. It's alive and kicking."

"No, it's not. It's fainted, can't you tell?"

"I said it is still conscious, and I mean it!"

Your intentions to protect the Psyduck from harm turned into a childish match of words between you and the professor, as both of your voice became increasing louder. In a matter of minutes, this argument turned into a shouting fest, as the professor jumped around animatedly while trying to prove to you that your Psyduck was still capable of fighting. The Absol found the argument interesting, but later lost interest in the verbal war, and instead focused its attention on the Psyduck, poking it in different places.

"I don't care, I'm withdrawing my Psyduck. He's injured, and I won't let him harm him!"

"Withdraw from this match, and you forfeit a chance to hatch your egg."

Ouch, that was your weak spot. 1-0 to Professor Leigh.

Just as you were worrying about your Psyduck, a voice spoke to you from nowhere.

Don't worry, I'll win this.

Ooo, telekinesis from the Psyduck. Looks like it's not as dumb as it looks.

"That's it, lad! Absol, end this with a Faint Attack!"

Watch and learn

The Psyduck remained lying on the floor, as the Absol rushed towards the Duck Pokèmon with a definite mix of stealth and haste. Absol made its way in front of Psyduck, and hit it silently. The pain was excruciating for a Psychic Pokèmon like Psyduck, but Psyduck was strong enough to withstand the pain, and its nerves were numb enough to reduce the pain felt.

Giraü suddenly stood up, with its eyes turning blue. Seconds later, the Absol had floated in midair, totally trapped from the kinetic powers of the Psyduck. Giraü had executed a Disable on Absol when it was most vulnerable, and the Disable was now totally eating into Absol, denying its use of Faint Attack. The Psyduck made a sound of glee as he watched his opponent in pain. Finally, the Disable stopped, dropping Absol from a height. Psyduck took a jump and...

With a great swing of its arms, Giraü had executed a Cross Chop, karate-chopping Absol with both arms and casuing a sickening crunch with each hit. As the Absol hit the ground, Giraü positioned itself as though it was a martial arts expert. A Psyduck executing a martial art move was hilarious, but the attack was definitely useful. The Psyduck looked at you with a tinge of ingeniuity, and gave you another message.

Talk about skill.

You could not help but smirk at your brainy Psyduck. Whatever the case, this was a pretty smart Psyduck you had. Or rather, at least for this round. Fate is on your side, whether you want to finish the match soon is up to you.

Don't put the Psyduck's abilities to waste, though. It is rare to see your Psyduck with such a brainwave.

Farore - June 19, 2007 11:34 PM (GMT)
Milia jawdropped at the impressive demonstration of wits and skill form her Psyduck, it was the first time she had seen him fight with such strenght and courage and she felt this wouldn't be the last time. Smiling at this thought she smiled.

"Outstanding Giraü! I'm sorry for letting you down!" Milia apologized. She raised her fist into the air and pointed towards the Absol. "We are going to win! Watch and suffer!" She said in a secure tune of voice. "Giraü! Use your Confuse Ray! Followed by a Brine attack! That will sure cause damadge as Absol's HP is lower than the half!" She said smiling.

needtoscream - July 7, 2007 01:07 PM (GMT)
{Allow me to take over for now. :3}

Confuse Ray and Brine appeared to be a good decision considering that the Absol was now weakened considerably; however, you have forgotten one thing. You have an opponent and he can hear everything you have just announced. Upon hearing your first command, he signals to his Absol discreetly.

The Psyduck does not notice and follows your commands to the letter. The Confuse Ray missed. Absol was already coming towards the Psyduck before it could finish up. Wham! A distressed moan came from Giraü. The Absol was about to attack again when you yelled something. The Absol was caught off-guard.

"Now!" you yelled. "Attack!"

Getting back on its feet, the Psyduck concentrated all its remaing strength into the attack. It was weaker now but Absol was too. Here it goes. Brine! It was flawless. Absol was now weaker than ever and as it collapsed, Psyduck moved forward to kick it one last time.

The match was over. Pysduck wins.
