Title: Character Discussion Thread
Tan-Tan - November 10, 2007 10:39 AM (GMT)
Discuss your OZ Characters here like...
Will
Verifus rule the world?
And who shall be hailed as the nastiest child genius?
Levi or
Joshua Wind? Or would
Zeke defeat those two and reign supreme?
When will
Arishabelle admit that
she's madly in love with Joshua she cannot be popular and beautiful in the Oracle Zone
with Tan-Tan around?
Who's worse at keeping their disobedient Pokèmon tamed?
Rizu or
Manakete?
Who's going to win in a human combat?
Runo or
Claes?
*coughclaes* Swords > axes
note: Kirbop, here's the chance to prove axes are better than swords
note2: START SUPPORTING RUNOxCLAES SHIPPING! At this moment I realized how deep those two think D:
EDIT:
Marclius is as red as Runo xD
And when will
Verdelish lose that Salamence? JUST PUNCH THAT FREAKINGLY STOUT DRAGON! That's what
Hiro did and that black-and-white stalker we all know broke.
Kit had stranger encounters though o.o Brought to you by the two mods whose mind needs broadband to connect.
And aside from
Thomas's bad luck (encountered a crazy scientist, got in a lab test died in an event, encountered a Froslass, then two more Froslass, then that haunted house, met with
Selia and Jaclyn, went unconscious at some point...or before...yea, before...and I don't have to retell Area 002),
Fang doesn't seem to be having an excellent day either with his black wings after getting hit in the
---- three times with a happy Ground, Lonely Pokèmon named Solo, a Cubone, getting in a love confusion with a Shiny Yanma and a Cranidos story I really have nothing to do about. I vote Fang as the unluckiest! I'm already sending him a gift for tonight!
Let's discuss!
FOR THOSE I FAILED TO MENTION: it's not easy trying to sound funny DDD:
Clamz - November 10, 2007 09:37 PM (GMT)
I personally think Verifus is not only one of the coolest villains I've seen enter the OZ, but I also think if he was given the chance, he would rule the entire planet.
Joshua seems to be the most appropriate child genius, with Levi right on his heels. I haven't read Zeke's RP enough to see how close he comes.
And as for everyone else, I haven't read their RPs, so...yeah.
Tan-Tan - November 10, 2007 09:42 PM (GMT)
It's easy to be a child genius here when you're practically handling the place, so I take no credit on being a genius.
I remember Kronik entering as a villain twice before Verifus. I can't recall the other people who tried being a villain. Lemme scan the RPG...
EDIT: Couldn't find any o.o Vokva is not on the good side but she's not really bent on world destruction
Clamz - November 10, 2007 09:46 PM (GMT)
Oh I know he has, I've even entered as a villain at one point, but Verifus takes the cake by far.
Tan-Tan - November 10, 2007 09:59 PM (GMT)
Verifus is kind of a psychopath. You'd think that's common but no one has actually entered as a psychopath or a sociopath. If Raema could actively RP Verifus, I can imagine most characters going against him while Verifus has an army. Woot x3 Joshua's probably playing in the good party because he doesn't like Hitler very much.
Clamz - November 10, 2007 10:16 PM (GMT)
I'm...so thrilled that's the ONLY reason Joshua would fight for the side of Good. X3
Kronik - November 10, 2007 10:45 PM (GMT)
Alright I think that from now on there will be a new child genius around by the name of Destin Ruki and he will reign surpreme and bring downfall to the entire world and rebuild it into a peaceful planet.
Now if I hadn't deleted Angel or Kronik...they would rule the world.
Clamz - November 10, 2007 11:09 PM (GMT)
I can see Julian trying to stop Verifus some time down the road, but for now I only see Julian trying to make a name for himself amongst all the other famous OZ Trainers.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
Well Destin will fight for whichever side proves to have the most benefits at the time. Whether it be Pokèmon, money, or knowledge. But I actually plan on keeping him neutral and working for himself and trying to become acquanted with the OZ Famous Trainers who have a head on their shoulders.
Clamz - November 11, 2007 12:09 AM (GMT)
Welp, just placed my revised post for my journey in. Julian's obvious confusion on the situation will surely lead to some comical moments later on in the RP. XD
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 12:10 AM (GMT)
Joshua won't try getting acquainted. He'll only talk to you when he needs something and right now, his plan is to collect as many Pokèmon as possible to help him discover OZ before deciding what to do with it. I'm actively participating in the Auction Courts to win items and trade them at some point. I'm itching for more Eevee and stones. Glaceon and Leafeon would have to wait until I decide if I should make a cheat item for them or not.
Destin is very neutral. He can turn to the bad or good side since it fits his personality. He isn't the type who's really ambitious, I think.
If ever there would be a time when there would be two sides fighting, who would be the good side's leader?
If we sort the characters out, Verifus' possible allies is only Vokva, and her player is inactive. The rest are either neutral or good. I haven't seen anyone turn to the dark side (sad to say DX).
Clamz - November 11, 2007 12:13 AM (GMT)
Hm...I dunno any of the other characters enough to make a decision on that one. Julian's definitely not strong enough or known enough to be considered a leader, though he does have some traits.
I would have to say that it might be Thomas or Sean at this point, but we'll see.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
Destin's main goal right now although not in his profile is to discover the meaning of life. It's a large question and he wants knowledge so I think it fits him. And if that means siding with evil then so be it but nothing with him is permanent since he only trusts himself and his Pokèmon. And speaking of Pokèmon Tanz. You said Sa was Normal/Psychic well according to serebii.net she's Psychic/Flying. Just thought I'd inform you.
And the one Pokèmon I need to get ahold of is a Beldum if someone would donate one for something I would be very appreciative.
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
Kari has a Beldum x3 the only one, and yea, I know,
Yea, Thomas might actually be a leader. Sean's in a coma since Ina quited RPing here. I'm going to start reading Selia and LC's journey. I don't think LC can be a leader but I don't know much about Selia.
Claes might fit as a "vice-leader" but I really don't know how she would react to other people.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
Question just to see if this was taken away or not. Is Zeke still missing one of his hands? And you know if there was a war between the two sides right now the size difference in both wouldn't really matter because there are so many neutral people out there.
Clamz - November 11, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
Hm...I forgot all about Selia, I might have to read up on that one as well.
And who's character is Claes?
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 12:22 AM (GMT)
The neutral people would have to decide in the end. They will be attacked by the evil side and forced to side with the good or ally with the bad guys...
Claes is Kari's character.
I think LC kindly restored Zeke's hand with a Pokèmon. Not sure if she had already so I'm not mentioning th Pokèmon she had in mind.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 12:25 AM (GMT)
Just some curiosity but cool. I don't think I'll reapply for modship in awhile because I'm busy and I am currently a mod on Mistree but I think my rping has gotten better. And back to the character discussion thread. Tanz care to tell me if I'll have to battle yet another Aerodactyl?
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
Meh, I'm trying to figure more things out that's better an Aerodactyle. Better in a way it's bad with you. I'm thinking of using a moody Numel or a Slugma that likes touching people.
I'm curious with the new people's character. Luke (pokemonlover), and Mile (Buizeru) are interesting characters. They haven't showed much of their true selves though like Sarah (Tarkya). I like Hiro though :3 (Hirokazuma's). It's the typical hero character but he's been RPing him well.
Clamz - November 11, 2007 12:37 AM (GMT)
Hehe, I'm interesting in see this Noah character being RP'd. His sign-up was simply awesome.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
Why do I always have to battle insanely strong Pokèmon? Or weird Pokèmon? Maybe this time you could be kind and not have me almost get killed every page.
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
Oh yea, Panic's character. A typical breeder character. So fun to torture
I would be unfair to all members in that case, Kronik :)
Kronik - November 11, 2007 12:54 AM (GMT)
Wait a moment there. The only reason I almost die every step I take in my journey is so the other members get treated fair. That's so uncool. You must think torturing me is some kind of hobby. Well...go pick on DR or Aquio or else let me actually catch the Aerodactyl.
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
Lol xD I'm having fun with Thomas but I'm not Aquio's RPer. Don't worry, you won't be seeing an Aerodactyl for a while o,o I'll give Destin something more fitting.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
Alakazam or Metagross? Well Abra or Beldum would be what I want to battle. Because their evolutions are so intelligent.
Verdelish - November 11, 2007 01:02 AM (GMT)
You know, the thought of a good-versus-evil war type thing with our characters sounds really nifty. If Heather had to choose on her own between good and evil she would most likely choose the good side just because of her morals (torturing/using Pokèmon like tools = NO). Unless the villian characters got to her first and persuaded her by filling her mind with hate for the good guys and/or other persuasive bribe-type things. It's starting to sound like an anime :D
Clamz - November 11, 2007 01:03 AM (GMT)
Are you trying to get Pokémon you desire, Kronik. Tsk tsk, naughty naughty.
Yeah, Panic seems to be a very good RPer, or at least a seasoned one.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
*shifty eyes* No what gives you that idea.
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 01:15 AM (GMT)
Kronik@ Not sure, but the specific Pokèmon given from you kind of gives me a disturbing hint
Good vs evil stuff...what we need is character progress for characters to decide rather than trying to build stronger Pokèmon, not that it's bad. Actually it's possible to have this "all war" in the OZ between Trainers but fortunately, no one has triggered it yet because the site isn't ready for it yet.
Kronik - November 11, 2007 01:22 AM (GMT)
Disturbing? Scary much? I think you are trying to get me to leave the site...again.

Who's going to win in a human combat? Runo or Claes? *coughclaes* Swords > axes
note: Kirbop, here's the chance to prove axes are better than swords note2: START SUPPORTING RUNOxCLAES SHIPPING! At this moment I realized how deep those two think D: |
i lol'd
In a human combat, Claes would probably win. :< Swords win over axes, or so Fire Emblem tells me...even so, swords are faster and have more maneuverability. Besides, she probably has more experience with it... Runo's "strategy" is, more often than not, running at people and trying to crush them into pieces.
Yes, crush. o.o Slashing isn't appropriate when axes just come slamming down on fleshy things.
Axes are still cooler, though. D:< They're more fun to draw, to use in bloodbaths (because slamming giant axes on people is so much more awesome than slamming giant swords on people), to use in strategy (just because no one else ever uses it), are underrated, and overlooked. :< Vote for the underdog!
That shipping is hilarious, BTW. Now back to some other discussion...hm...
Don't care much for villains. :< Most of my characters (and me, hahaha) are neutral and work for their own interests... I guess Runo could be considered 'good' since he has a sort of 'hero complex' and is trying to get recognized as a hero. And what better way to do it than to fight against the 'bad'?
Although he probably wouldn't want to work with anyone, hahaha. That's either because he wants the glory all to himself, doesn't trust a bunch of random strangers (who're probably worse than him...and judging by who seems to be on the 'good side,' he'd get picked on by everyone), or some other random reason. o.o I sorta lost his personality...
In any case, I'll shut up now. XD This post is huge, oi...
Clamz - November 11, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
so i herd u liek axes?
Axes are killer in appearance and fun to watch in blood baths, that's for sure, but I respect the skill and class that the sword represents. Besides, I'm a Fire Emblem fan. XD
Anyways, I think Runo would be a great good guy, the stubborn glory hogs usually make for the best Heroes once you train them up.
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 06:01 AM (GMT)
Runo's almost perfect to be Verifus' arch enemy x3 Let's just lend Verifus his scythe again and the two can have a combat. And yea, Claes has more experienced but I guess Runo wins by willpower. I've never seen Claes use her sword though.
Kirbop - November 11, 2007 06:11 AM (GMT)
<3 Axes~ I respect swords as well, since they're nifty to watch at times and swordsmen tend to make up my Fire Emblem teams... A bit hypocritical of me, I think, but I can't help it if almost all of my favorite characters there use swords. :<
Verifus' arch enemy... Axe against scythe. o_o The battle of fun-to-draw weapons. Verifus probably has more experience as well... Runo's been traveling around and fighting, but most of his fighting was probably because of an argument or because someone mocked him and made him angry. He doesn't really think when he's angry unless he's on the verge of defeat or calm for once...
Haha, if he did win, it'd probably be because of willpower. XD I kinda wanna see Claes use her sword now, though...or maybe there could be a giant battle arena for humans with weapons. o_o Like a colosseum. That could be an optional event or something...and they could fight against Pokèmon...gladiators...
...bah, I wanna post in my OZ journey now. DX I'll probably get Runo killed because I can't think of many ways to combat a levitating knight with a spear and a mount that's perfectly capable of killing me, but...
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 06:18 AM (GMT)
You know, you two are actually quite the same o.o Verifus is that problem child who grew up killing people at will. His experience came from anger, er, pleasure since well, he enjoys killing people. Both of you just got experience from fighting though I don't think Runo have ever killed anyone...right?
Lol human combat. In another site, I'm having an improvised chess game. Some of you know what site I'm talking about xD at least we won't get sick with just Pokèmon battles. Next time we're playing Go XDD
Kirbop - November 11, 2007 06:25 AM (GMT)
Runo probably did end up killing at least a few people. He meant it literally when he said that he "completely and utterly annihilated his enemies before crushing whatever pieces were still left of them"... The type of battles he fought was basically a crude version of a duel. I guess a death match would be a better term...
XD I loved the chess idea. Sadly, I don't know how to play chess or go...I'm more of a checkers person, although I stink at that too. :p
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 06:37 AM (GMT)
I don't actually like chess and I've only played it several times, recently because I was very bored. I don't know Go either but I've been reading Hikaru No Go....
Er.
I only have 3 character who are weapon-wielding but I don't normally bring weapons because I always feel like they're a bit...how should I put this...out of place. Not that Runo's axe is out of place, or Claes' sword is just weird, maybe it's in the RPG. I keep the topic of weapons out in other sites even though my character was supposed to have one. It feels weird o.o but having a weapon in OZ isn't bad. Maybe we should even start selling weapons but...(insert some things here)
Meh Joshua will probably try getting a gun even if he never held onto one. Haha a comical scene is poping in my head :3
Kirbop - November 11, 2007 06:45 AM (GMT)
I know what you mean. :/ For some RPGs, it seems alright; for example, using a knife or a dagger in a Pokèmon RPG seems a lot more reasonable than bringing a sword or something. One of my characters in another RPG managed to bring one along for stealing, although she hasn't been able to use it yet. :3
Other weapons are just kinda...out of place, though. Maybe bows are something are slightly more believable, but I can't imagine anyone bringing a broadsword to, I dunno, Jinari or something.... Sadly enough, I have some characters who seem incredibly strange without a weapon, so I'm limited to using them in RPGs that allow me to bring them. That's sorta what happened with Runo; he's prone to violence, but if he wasn't able to bring along an axe, I'd probably end up writing another sign-up for another character. Trying to imagine him beating people up with his bare fists is strange...
...gun. D: Guns are no fun when medieval weapons (not sure what to call 'em, but I mean stuff like swords, axes, bows and arrows, etc.) are around, but they're awesome in every other case...
Tan-Tan - November 11, 2007 07:00 AM (GMT)
Bows are too...well...prehistoric XD Spear is another. And a character usually uses a Javelin when the character is a fisherman...WHICH JUST GAVE ME AN IDEA WITH A FISHERMAN NPC O_O *is excited to have someone near any bodies of water* First member that goes near a lake gets to meet a fisherman with a javelin...
Guns are boring during combat, yes but I wouldn't engage in a combat. More on a shoot twice and run stuff. Well it's not really a matter of winning, just saving your butt, in Joshua's case anyway. Logic > pride
Kirbop - November 11, 2007 07:05 AM (GMT)
...they are...? I always thought that bows were the sort of the things that could be used often...since there's archery and all... Fencing's there for rapiers and whatnot... My mind's blank on this matter...
Fisherman... o.o ...reminds me of a fanfiction I wrote with that title...
Ah, I was thinking more in battle terms between humans. XD Everyone who's melee will keel over and die to the guy with the gun. :< Unless they're so wickedly fast that they can dodge bullets...
...maybe the flat surface of the axe can be used as a shield...
