The ball shone is the sunlight, but for it's small inhabitant, the day was a little less bright. However, what else was its trainer to do? A Pokèmon needs attention, training, love. Selia already had many pupils with her, and at the cost sound mean, she was more interested in raise those few well, rather than run back and forth to have a whole bunch of half-trained Pokèmon.
No this little critter would only suffer of solitude if it stayed with her, btter have it find a new home, where it was really desired.
