I've been watching anime since I was pre-teen, but I'm pretty new the the manga scene. Can any one here recommend some good ones to get me started?

Now the hard part is actually finding these mangas, I live right by a store thats says they sell comics and mangas but the only thing they have are yu gi oh cards and instead of the employees helping the customers, they play magic cards in a room out of the store. Talk about false advertisement. So I think I'm going to have to go to Ebay on this one…..
