how bout the yo-yos and tech decks (finger skateboards)

I never got in to yo-yos for some reason, but my friend had a whole techdeck set with a huge ramp and everything. We had tons of fun on that, but now it probably would seem pretty boring...we were 9 years old after all.

Remember furby back in 1999, that thing was the ultimate toy back then. I remember everyone wanting one and it being sold out in every store. I had a black one, but my sister kept taking it's batteries out, although I don't blaim her. It was the most annoying elctronic pet and would never shut-up. :P

I miss giga-pets, but thankfully the trend will be revived by Nintendogs. I remember I had a pet frog giga pet back in 1998, but it kept pooping like crazy and ringing in my backpack during school. My teacher heard it and I haven't seen my poor frog giga pet since. :(

Pokemon was definatley a huge fad of the late 90's. When I was 9 I went to some pokemon tournament in Cincinnati and I won in the first round of the 100 level thanks to my mew.....which I cheated to get, good thing they didn't know that or I would've been disqualified. (I told them I got it from another tournament) :D
