What are some of your favorite video game-based tv shows?
As a 32 year old that's been around since the dawn of the video game era, I've seen a few shows. Some of my favorite ones are:
- Starcade (TBS, 1982): Video game competition and trivia.
- Video Power (syndicated, 1989-1991?): The first season wasn't too good; they had game overviews, tips, and a cartoon based on characters from Acclaim video games (Acclaim produced the first season. Maybe that's why it blew. =P ) . The second season rocked. They switched over to a video game-based game show with game play and trivia. The winner got to race through a maze loaded with video games and assesories. Because of that show, I kept my game boxes, which added to their resell value. :D
- Extended Play (TechTV, 2002): A straight-up video game review/preview show with Adam Sessler. Atleast Adam kept his dignity.
- GamePro (syndication, 1990?): A good game review show with J. D. Roth and....some other guy (I hope he's doing well).
All right, how about you?
